Different fields of studies use different tools and methodologies. Where STEM considers numbers and measurements to be data, humanitarian sciences consider words and arguments to be data. If you are looking for quantifiable proof, you‘re watching the wrong video. It’s not that serious.

    • @@coffeetalk924 I'm not the one calling philosophy a science but the scientific community classified it as such. Judging from what you've written it may seem as if empirical science is infallible when there are just as many errors and myths that arose from said field. Everything we know now could be proven wrong in just a few years time. Look at how the perception of physical principals have changed throughout time. Just a decade ago, I was taught in biology that Darwin's theory on evolution was superior to Larmarck's. The latter's theory was ridiculed for the longest time until the rise of epigenetics in the last few years. Data without context is useless. And the context changes with every new information we acquire. That goes for all sciences and areas of life.

One is my place of residence the other 2 properties will give me $80,000per/yr rent . I will have an income stream of $20,000 per yr through my super which gives me total $100,000 a yr to live comfortably . I have no debts ... Stay Motivated!!

    • You are quite literally God, by essence is what Alan means, “You “ as you conceptualize yourself in this form you call your body, it being all that you are, is simply an illusion. You, and all moving, swaying , changing things around you, all beings, all people, are Nature/Universe/God. And as for our perceptions for life and death, well, life is a sort of paradox to say, life is ALL that you CAN experience, for death, is lack there of. So.. the only thing that can occur after loss of consciousness, is the same or similar set of thing, that is happening right NOW. Because you are still It. Along with all other people that can wake up in the morning and think on themselves, as themselves, forever. Tat,tvam, asi brother.

Every momentary mystical experience of enlightenment is the realization that everything has always been the same as it is right now. Paths always lead somewhere, they never lead nowhere. As long as you're somewhere, you wanna go somewhere else. Only if you're nowhere, do you seize to have anywhere to go. And when you seize to have anywhere to go, you have arrived.

    • As the stock say, everything that happened was meant to be’ is referring to the present interpretation and could not be said in the process. This is still limiting because we are not gods and a little lesser than angels so as CS Lewis speaks presently about suffering which is change in action, ‘grief weld our hearts to the loss and creates a permanent attachment to them.’ Watts is talking about the journey but discounting evil is bad but this is his misstep and unwillingness to see the complete picture, ting & yang are temporarily the evidence but not the end in itself but as Jung says the shadow parts working to prepare us for true knowledge and self awareness in the presence of the Almighty, like Job of the Bible, covers his mouth and realizes he was a fool on one hand and celebrates he is not a fool because the Great Creator cannot be fooled and realizes his foolishness that he momentarily was going to doom him was orchestrated so he could see beyond himself and know the Creator of all and know that evil is a tool for good if we fight it and not cooperate with it lest we become a real fool.

It is not some sort of formula, it is the level up of understanding and not involving in choosing sides but keeping guard and being well aware of what you are doing - keeping yourself from falling in a trap of choosing side. • Glad I'm not alone on the path of truth, through the fog of lies that has held us back, I've not done much right in life & have been through the system, but in that negative walk through life, a positive came from it, the ability to help others on the same path & I've helped a huge amount of people & asked for nothing in return, I've been looking after me & my little brother since I was 12, I was born in 1970 & only met my mum a few years ago, she is a stranger, but I believe that everything negative that happens in life, something positive, must come from it, if you believe in balance & I do, I just hope I live long enough to understand what I saw in the sky when I was 14 at school on the field playing hockey, still don't understand what made me look up & to my right, but I did & there it was, I was hypnotized, 3 seconds to look at it & 3 seconds for it to be out of sight. Amazing times ahead through the fog. Be LUCKY. Ta ta.😉🇬🇧🌍.

  • I love when philosophers express the same ideas. I find this pretty similar to Ram Dass’ theory of observing trees with out judgement. It’s pretty much the same idea. Do you think Ram Dass was influenced by Watt’s explanation, or was born from his own personal experience?

  • Wow. A different dimension of perceiving things. It’s a mind blowing content and not everyone can get it but who are in the path of enlightenment may get it. Ego flashes and goes away showing the reality and illusion - yea as he said only with total involvement and detachment we can see the actuality of life.
