The explanation for why the alarms need to be there to avoid EXPLOSIONS and DESTRUCTION and THE END OF THE WORLD reminded me so much of being a kid playing with stuffed animals and coming up with ridiculous stakes for everything. Sometimes Hermitcraft reminds me so much of kids playing in the playground together, but it's adults in Minecraft instead (/positive - I like watching people have fun :)

1:20 I can actually read some Japanese myself, the text on Joel's banners is "ヒカリイカ" written in katakana, which approximately means "light squid". So yeah, the text checks out. (Honestly I just wrote this comment because I've been learning Japanese for a while and like talking about it.)
Actually checking my dictionary again, ヒカリ means both "light" and "glow", so actually there's no approximation here, it literally means "glow squid".

Just want to say, you make some of my favorite Hermitcraft content. Hermitcraft isn't just about mega progress, it's about community and fun, which you have to a tea.

The interactions with Joel are both the most entertaining and simultaneously awkward things I've seen in a long time! Individually you're both superb and confident youtubers... and then together you both seem to turn into really nervous energy people accidentally stumbling over conversations. PS: I get the Jon Richardson thing, now you mention it! I know he's not a regular comedian on WILTY (Would I Lie To You, a BBC comedy), but it could be good Hermitcraft banter to host some kind of WILTY gameshow... Mojang didn't create a new word, how they pronounce it has nothing to do with how it is in game, they just happen to pronounce that pre-existing word that way. It's irrelevant, any way you pronounce this already existing word is correct as long as it's one of correct general ways that exist.
It's weird because "E-lie" feels more comfortable when pronouncing elytra, yet my name begins with "ely" and it's pronounced like 'e-lee"

THIS IDEA doesnt only solve the portal but also adverts your shop, or forces it some may say the idea: build the netherportal way high up and build huge long stairs leading to it. walking it would be a pain and so rockets would sell probably a little more and it will also make sense since its your job to provide a great looking portal but also because the portal are on the nether roof so it shouldn't be low to the ground realistically

Iskall being completely baffled about the fact Joel has Japanese in his Base, and then saying: “oh, it’s probably right”, like he knew Japanese, made me laugh real hard😅
As a person learning japanese, iskall had basically the exact same reaction as me, which means i think he knows some foundational japanese. The script it's in (katakana) means that it's usually easy for English speakers to understand a word's meaning, however in this case it wasn't, meaning he (and I) were confused and googled it, before realizing "that's so cool!"

Look iskall, Ive got a presentation tomorrow so, ill end it quick. I never really watched your vids other than a couple in s7. This season you are the most I've been watching. I prioritize your vids over ANY other hermit and I dont mean it just cause Im talking on your channel. For me its more of the interaction between the hermits, the pranks the beef (no pun intended although i love your pranks on beef the msot) is the most enjoyable cause the building is like I'm not a builder and know nothing about building so It becomes *kinda boring watching someone focus on something that i ain't interested in. I previously loved the dsmp but this servers wholesomeness, friendly pranks is what hets me really hooked. I used to like grian for the same reason but nowadays it feels a lot cut down or edited iyk what i mean. Your content i.e. behind the scenes, the livestreams this channel is what i was always looking for. So us people are different. Some people like certain things and other like something else. The rest are just haters. But I'm pretty sure most of us would like you to be alright and not end up having a burnout. Just don't let some small minded people get in your head and enjoy your time on server, thats what most of like anyways. I would donate to you but Im a student so a bit slim on cash. If I ever did you will be the first hermit I donate to cause I appreciate your work, most people do. Anyways have a great day mate. Don't rush into making content for people who don't appreciate you. You are funny and I never know where an interaction is going to go. Please make it a thing to scare Yoel and, if it wouldn’t make Mumbo feel bad, endbusting with him would be good fun!
