  • Every modern Era RB is an attempt to recreate USC Reggie Bush. If he actually played in today’s era it would be lethal. He still played in the Era of *HEAD HUNTERS* which is what made the jukes all that much more dangerous and exciting to watch. Those players weren’t just trying to tackle him…they were trying to obliterate him.

    @df6148@df614818 күн бұрын
    • Yeah, Reggie took one of the hardest hits I've ever seen when he was on the Saints

      @mtgcatfish5993@mtgcatfish599318 күн бұрын
    • Yeah I was gonna bring that up, might be the most brutal “highlight” hit I’ve seen, meaning I’m not including theissman or Johnny Knox or anything scary in turnout. Bush got levitated. I was impressed he got up in the pain, that’s a man geez. I’m happy he doesn’t have to live with the injustice of the award yoinkage and hopefully can reexperience what he rightfully earned in pure vindication. I’m a fan of true justice.

      @furthur96@furthur9618 күн бұрын
    • You acting like Reggie was too early for his time. There were many scatback RBs that put up better numbers before Reggie. He just didn’t pan out to be as good as everyone expected. It had nothing to do with him being in the “wrong” era.

      @Madman33-nv8ht@Madman33-nv8ht18 күн бұрын
    • @@Madman33-nv8ht Bush simps will never accept this, but it's the truth. Well said.

      @djmohab2@djmohab218 күн бұрын
    • @@Madman33-nv8ht What I’m saying is that the success of HIGH PASS volume with Drew Brees and Reggie at New Orleans was an eye opener compared to the High Run low Pass that Brees Ran with Ladainian Tomlinson and the Chargers (why were league MVP backs not getting rings? And scat backs were?). It ushered in a new era that led to the dying out of traditional bell cows. Pierre Thomas and Reggie went to work and split the load nicely. Reggie was able to be utilized any and everywhere. You could make the argument that the Saints entire offense revolved around Reggie Bush, positioning him like a chess piece. In today’s ruleset, every team wants to be the Super Bowl Saints. Prior to that NO TEAM was throwing it that many times a game. So the league is literally NEW ORLEANS ball. Even your chiefs are running it. So in a league of SAINTS style offense…REGGIE would feast. Especially with the rules catering to the offense. *Reggie Bushes exciting play in the NFL 100% impacted the game* . It’s why the passing game is what it is today. Otherwise Mahomes would be on a 25-28 Throws per game team with a different offense entirely.

  • Reggie’s heisman was never revoked. He was never forced to give it up. Everything came to light, it was a big controversy and the NCAA began deciding whether or not to make Reggie give it up, Reggie voluntarily gave it up of his own volition in order for the NCAA to not have to make a difficult decision. I always thought that was a real class act by Reggie. It’s weird to me how only over the last few years he’s changed it to “They made me give it up.”

He was a great college player (the best money could buy) but he was criminally misused in New Orleans. As a bears fan though, my favorite Reggie bush moment was in the 2006 NFC chomp when Reggie yac-ed what I recall was a wheel route 80 something for a touchdown at soldier field and waved at urlacher on the way. Why? Because NO scored no points after that and it began to snow and I’ve never seen Chicago happier except for with MJ and when Dev returned the opening kick of the Superb Owl that year after two weeks of chatter about it. That night with NO going down, I fookin surprise blasted a my super beautiful blonde best female grad school friend in the face with a wonderfully crafted snowball. Riding high. The way it ended that season though, never felt Chicago so depressed as the day after. Hurts less today. I should have married that girl not my ex wife too.
