This 30 for 30 is going to be so good
Don't blow it, keep it simple, count yo money.
This message brought to you by fanduel
Yeah...this is like the Opiate epidemic unfolding ~25 years later and it's so much more obvious this time.
Yeah who running Fandual. The real fraud..lol
Seatgeek, dicks, dudewipes. Close but no Cigar my friend
Thank you Pat for clearing this subject. Respect!
If I'm taking a fall for someone. The act stops at 30 years in prison.
Pat needs to get Jomboy Media on here!
Must!
made 150k a year to just speak your normal language every once in a while and im assuming free travel , hotel, and food the whole time. what more could you want lol
Yeah right
Plus $60k in dental he gave him, but ran off with the money instead. I’m sure there would’ve been many more benefits of being shohei’s employee.. dumbass fumbled the bag hard
Agree. But actually the latest report say ippei made around 350k a year. Ippei is a greedy conman.
It was obvious from the start Ohtani was innocent but I'm glad the receipts and documentation of everything clears him of any wrong doing and if you still think he did anything related to gambling you're just forcing it for interactions lol
He was gambling on games you must be special
Exactly. Tyler Glasnow said the team and he could tell right away Ippei was doing some shady stuff when the news came out. There are some stupid takes from people who don’t care enough to read the affidavit so these shows and news reports are good for Ohtani. It’s is amazing to see how Ohtani is handling the betrayal of a close friend quietly and performing on baseball field at highest level.
Kind of a moron to believe Ohtani is completely innocent in this. His bank account isn’t large enough to the point where 17 million missing goes unnoticed. His big contract was deferred.
@@tmac1616 Ohtani knew nothing. He mainly uses another account he set up for his endorsement earnings. Ippei stole from the account he helped to set up for Ohtani’s MLB earnings and Ohtani never logged in for nearly three years until Ippei’s confession. He thought his agent was managing the account so he never cared to check Ohtani sent all his money to his parents and chose to live in a team dormitory for years instead of a luxury apartment so he could have an easier access to training facilities. He spent only $200 from $1000 monthly allowance while he was making millions in Japan. He tried to defer his entire contract to help out the team but his agent stopped and said he can’t play baseball for free so decided to defer 97%. All these facts about Ohtani are famously know. He is hyper focused on baseball and Ippei took advantage of that.
@@tmac1616 the affidavit explains everything. Actually it’s very detailed and UGLY. Ippei is a serious fraud.
There's no way the guy is taking a fall for someone if it means 30 years in prison
They’re going to cut off and shave that bowl of a haircut Mizuhara has immediately when he arrives in prison
5:43 Just want someone to look at me like Conman looks at Ty while he talks baseball
Lmfao bro he was GAZING 🤣
lmaooo
Ohtani has reached the status of legend that people will do anything to try to tear him down. Why do you want him to be involved so badly…?
Because he is how does one not notice millions gone nobody that's why he's guilty no doubt. And if he didn't notice dumbest Japanese man I've ever heard of no way he didn't know
The Internet has ruined you man.
@@AlexDrewsumin the lack of self awareness lmao

@@864grizthat's an exaggeration and not my mind set. The whole everyone does it thing is an oxymoron. And is a silly argument. They're only talking about him because his translator stole money. So it's not thinking everyone is guilty. If it was anyone else they would do the same thing. But if you don't ask the questions than you're the moron.
Dang, pocket 60K for this teeth.. I would’ve been so thankful
Maaaaan all he had to do was not eff up lol what a job to have / ruin
Ippei is an idiod.
To all the trolls in the comments im glad Ohtani didn't claim insanity or mental health problems
you'll pay it back you'll make license plates for us 😅
Yeah you will
Angels knew something was happening why they didn't try to resign him or speak up
1:33 it’s actually a husband of someone on the Real Housewives of Orange County
Whose husband?
uh Pat it's actually 33 years in prison/jail which it would be until 2057 of when he will be released
with parole and good behavior time its prolly 8 to 10 years
@@JoshuaYuan36 inmates in a federal prison on average, serve 85% of their sentence. Its a pretty long time
Ippei better not get into debt with other inmates
Ippei drop the soap. 😂
Ippei expected big income coming in when Ohtani signed dodgers but he deferred lol good that the ungrateful conman got caught.
Agree. Ippei is a disgraceful conman.
In 30 years I’ll be about 50 and I’ll see it or hear it on the news and I hope I’m like “omg remember that big scandal when that guy stole 20 mil from shohei?? He out!”
true irs hired 50,000 more workers to screw middle class
With all the legal pressure on him the guy probably didn't even get to sit down and sweat out a close bet ever. What's the point of sports betting if you're stressing over something other than someone's over/under. Truly a generational bag fumble by this dude. Learning Japanese in case Shohei needs someone to step up again
I thought that his mother controls his bank accounts 😅….

I’m confused who did he steal the money from?
Shohei
The 37 page report by the Feds and the recent interview with IRS criminal dept conducted by ESPN says it all. The player is completely innocent. End of story. You have to be pretty biased or just plain stupid to think otherwise.
So how much do you gotta make before you realize 17M is missing from your accounts?
@@tmac1616 What DOJ, IRS and Homeland Security say weighs a million times more than your mere opinion.
@@tmac1616 700mil

Do you pay attention to every single dollar that you pay? It auto charges your account. Im also too lazy to cancel certain subscriptions
He didn’t plead guilty. He agreed to plead guilty at a date to be determined.
So what whats 16m to ohtani
16m
First agen
While I know Shohei Ohtani's interpreter has said that Ohtani knew nothing about the gambling & federal investigations have drawn the same conclusion I kinda feel like the interpreter taking the brunt of this was going to be the result either way. I say that because no matter whether that’s true or not I don’t see Shohei Ohtani a well-liked person & someone who’s making 700 million dollars facing any real repercussions for this especially since gambling is not the cursed word & or thing it once was. I will say though while I also know gambling is an addiction I can't get over how much money the interpreter Ippei Mizuhara lost which is 40 million dollars.
The 37 page affidavit explains what happened. Thief.
That was kind of quick wasnt it?
Bonza living the dream 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤🎉😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shhhhhhhoooooot can you take this fall? I know its gonna be the tough but better u than me
$17 million lost of someone else’s money gambling is wild. There’s gotta be more to this story..
That's just what he lost. I want to know how much he wagered.
This is all lies
Shohei probably has somewhere near 100 million (just based off of his endorsement deals in two countries) liquid assets right now split between multiple bank and brokerage accounts and denominated in at least two currencies. Now look at your situation. How many things do you set to autopay? How long would it take for you to notice if Netflix charged your double? Or if your insurance didn't cover what you thought they would and you copay was higher. The point being is that if you find it hard to keep track of less than 200k (just a probabilistic function), imagine what it would be like managing 500x that. Oh and by the way you need to do at least half of that business in Japanese. And be the best baseball player in the world while youre at it. It sounds improbable to you because you aren't doing any of those things, me and you have no idea what that world even looks like.
You obviously never met a gambling addict. They keep gambling thinking they can make their money back
He impersonated Ohtani ??? How similar do these guys look that people thought the scrawny accountant was the MLB superstar
If you don’t know what Ohtani looks like then it probably wouldn’t be difficult. Tim Lincecum and Bartolo Colon were MLB superstars also, it’s not really a sport that’s big on athleticism.
Ohtani didn’t speak English when he came to America so he had to open bank accounts for him
Ippei had all of ohtanis info.
Pretty easy to take millions from someone swimming in atleast half a billion dollars and millions flowing in all the time. Ohtani has no reason to gamble. Hes a billionaire already and can litteraly buy his own franchise if he wants when he retires. Ohtani probs pays ippei well but not well enough ,as his gambling grew it became harder to hide his debts.
@@TP-pq9xxr u kidding ? Lincecum was an athletic marvel
$60k in dental work alone sounds crazy. Ohtani should just date better looking guys to start with.
Pat and Sean got their talking points handed down from ESPN. Just repeat the DOJ memo. Ohtani just loves baseball, he had no idea. This is kind of cringe.
Gambling propaganda
He ends up in Japan and not in jail
Someone explain why someone couldn't be losing 17 mil
It's all written in the criminal complaint if you happen to be literate.
Fair dinkum unbelivable 😂😂😂😂❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
best fall guy ever
How much tin foil you need to think someone could be paid off to face 30 years in prison when they're already rich? The FBI, IRS, DOJ and US Attorney are not on MLB's payroll, these departments' cooperation led to the official report which completely cleared Ohtani and unveiled details about Ippei's including his unrelated tax fraud and other dishonest escapades that clearly paint him as the lone culprit.
This is common in the Yakuza. Members actually earn more respect by serving time. Especially if they do it for someone of higher rank within the organization.
comon no one is doing 30 years for someone. Not even mob guys did thats why so many flipped
@valhallaoutcast wanna be best troll ever
@@BossKillugh he will probably serve 5
So what's up with these Dodgers why are they built like the Yankees? Magic Johnson awith all the money or what?
I mean to say that there couldn’t be a cover up because the FBI got involved in the case isn’t exactly credible lol it’s not like the FBI doesn’t have a few blemishes on the ol reputation
Not if the IRS criminal dept and the Homeland security fraud dept is involved simultaneously. Also, the fact that ESPN , which broke the story about the wire, has been dead silent about this is a good indication that they can’t find anything on the player either. Otherwise, they would be all over this to get more attention, if you know anything about journalism. The 37 Page report is pretty convincing, full of evidence. It’s more convincing than “ I have a hunch” or “ I am more qualified than the Feds because they make mistakes” type of justification.
FBI, IRS, DOJ and homeland security were in the investigation. Ippei is a conman.
This is not important. It is all about taxes.
How you not know millions is missing

he didnt manage his money and was so rich he would just pull out his card to pay for things and know there was money there. plus not speaking english probably not easy for him to navigate the internet for his bank info or a phone app in america lol

Wild that someone can gamble away 17 MILLION dollars of someone elses money and for one. That person to not be aware that 17 million dollars is magically disappeared and 2 that this dude is so piss poor at gambling he just constantly lost everytime until the amount became so astronomically big its hard to comprehend...
