What is the price?
Negative, comrade.
you forgot the heated seats for rider and passenger then their is the explorer model with infotainment and radars to warn you of cars in your blind spot and rear collission alarm and i think front radar for the adaptive cruise control then theirs quite a few other extras on the explorer model and the explorer model in australia is only 1-2k more then the one you rode in the video
@@kharybeckles5377 in australia its 15k so its 8k ish cheaper then a ktm 890 adv or africa twin or norden 901 and a few others just for comparison and you still get a ktm level quality bike because its made in the ktm china factory
Hes literally just test riding them he isnt paid to do these ratings. He is an honest mototuber who wants to give the best insight on all things to do with bikes. Yall just cant admit a chinese brand bike can be better than the well known brands😂
Over half of the people that gives negative comments don't even ride or own motorbikes....😂
Cause they just can't.
Yup
I actually like his reviews a lot because of this. He just just jumps on, rides, and gives you a quick and dirty review
At the moment I am the owner of the CFMOTO 800 MT Explore. Only positive emotions. I don't drive off-road, but I occasionally ride dirt roads. I wish all motorcyclists a safe season.
It's beautiful!!!
The brakes on the CF moto are no joke. My 650 Adventura has braided steel dual disks in front, after that I tried riding a Honda NC750X with single disc regular brakes, and man did they feel weak on the Honda! Not saying the NC750X is a bad bike, not by any means, but it’s 50% more expensive and the brakes can’t even come close to the CF moto.
Kinda wild to be witnessing a new motorcycle manufacture roll onto the scene. I know they are not actually *new*, but they're definitely coming up in the USA. The more competition the better!
It seems like cfMoto is taking the same approach that we saw Hyundai and Kia take in the automotive sector from the mid 2000’s to today. Provide more features and a great warranty to help overcome the negative stereotypes of manufacturing in x country. Time will tell if their materials improve, and there’s always the political issue (which somehow only seems to matter for motorcycles and not things like cell phones to self righteous keyboard activists). If anything, it will be fun to see how they do. There’s definitely no one else in the market matching their features for dollar right now.
Exactly why I bought my genesis coupe and will never sell it. I was a Japanese motorcycle owner only now that may change if they make a sport bike
Haha I've had 6 or 7 cars in my life including two Toyota and right now my stupid worthless little hyundai accent has somehow lasted the longest and given the least amount of problems. I still love my Japanese bike brands but I'm not against trying new things and healthy competition either.
for 10k thats an amazing amount of included features. pretty nice display too im honestly impressed.
I recently attended a CF MOTO demo ride at Paulson Motorsports in Lacy and test rode the IBEX 800 and was extremely impressed by the suspension and handling combined with a smooth running engine. I really have not felt this attached to a motorcycle in a long time and look forward to buying one soon. The dealers in Washington State are out of stock of the IBEX I guess they reduce inventory for the wet rainy fall season. Really like the highway comfort of this bike it tracks your intended course with ease and is super stable at speed.
bought this bike, its great, for the price you cant beat it. It feels quality and one of the better looking adv bikes out there too as well.
I rode some cf Moto’s when the demo truck was here in Asheville. They make some cool Bikes. I was very impressed with several of the bikes The cl700x was very impressive.
I recently saw this motorcycle at a local dealer, and I'm impressed with it. The only question I have is how it will hold up in the long run. Time will tell.
They build all the KTM’s up to 790 and even Owen a share of the company the owns KTM and the others in the group, same engine as the relaunched 790 KTM now they can sell it cheaper than the T7, same quality control.
Research some more....it's the exact 790 ktm engine.
I'm really impressed for what I've seen, but I think I'll skip one cause Chinese build cheap vehicles have had so incredibly bad electrics that it's absurd. I'm fairly sure these are ok, but I'll wait couple years to get more references in forums and such. I'm really tempted to buy T7, but if I'm honest and if I knew that these don't have any issues I'd buy this instead. Checked out their electronic sparepart catalog and it looks parts are mostly decently priced, but it also struck that some components were on "wish list" on that digital catalogue. That would be nice to get info from retailers if I'd get one.
The issue is not build quality of the engine (1st Gen KTM 790).. but virtually zero dealer network….and what few CFMoto dealers actually carry motorcycles makes that number even less…. and bear in mind that a Ibex800T is nearly $14k OTD because of the dealer FU Fees…. And that’s KTM money…
Well, the Czech Republic was the first piece in the world and underwent a long-term test across 3 continents and covered 86,000 kilometers. My Bandit 1250 stopped working at 58,000 km...
Looks amazing I can’t wait to start doing test rides soon as well
Probably a good time to get one before they increase price due to popularity gaining. Hyundais use to be dirt cheap once.
These bikes are incredible value for money!
I enjoy riding with you on your tests (wish you'd use some different roads to break it up). A main point of interest in motor vehicles (especially motorcycles) is engine size and alignment. ie.: parallel twin, V-twin, in-line four, etc. could you please include that info in your reviews.
That looks fantastic , and all those extras as standard. 😊
I've known people using CF Moto bikes since 2 years ago and had no issues. Looks like they are getting better.
You work for Red China.
MotoJitsu hasn’t sold his BMW for CF motors. ‘Nuff said.
Sounds like trash too.
@@santiagomatamoros7885 why would he sell a bike he loves, has put lots of time and work into, and has lots of memories with, for a brand new bike? Most folks only sell their old bike and get a new one if they either outgrow it/get bored of it or wreck it. Very few riders collect multiple motorcycles. It just seems like every rider has multiple because the ones with multiple tend to be content creators and very vocal in online spaces.
I've been riding mine for 4 years, over 50000km, and had no issues. And it still runs with the new owner with over 70000kms on odometer. And it was 2016 model. Since then they're reallt improved. So, have no doubt, these thing are reliable
thanks for doing these btw!
Nice wheels and great video! Thanks
I would get this bike. Incredible value for money. I hope the other brands are taking note
Would love to see you review the KTM 890 Adventure bikes and your thoughts on handling with the fuel tank setup
I think this bike is bloody awesome. So much value it's bonkers. I hope CF Moto tear up the market.
Also heated seat comes as standard on this. At least here in UK.
The technology in that bike is the best. I already got the 400NK and the 650MT. Thie 850MT is definitely next on my list
Wu Mao Army?
@@santiagomatamoros7885 Indoctrinated Moron Army?
The 450ss also has quickshifter you probably missed it aswel awesome reviews tho
Rising prices have eliminated reasonably priced motorcycles. Nature abhors a vacuum and CFMoto has rushed in to fill the void. $20k OTD is just too much for a middle-weight adventure motorcycle. Also, rising prices has made owning multiple motorcycles less attractive. I hope CFMoto puts pressure on other manufacturers to lower prices.
Great point
Rode my friends 2023, and he wants me to buy it from him. Such a sweet bike
Love the video. You had no mention of throttle response being a bit whacked in first gear. Maybe they did a remap. There are however more recent reviews where their complaining about 1st gear jerking. You got a great dealer there.
That is a nice setup.
I test rode a 2022 model 800MT when it was first introduced into the Singapore market. I'm impressed by this bike especially when it is from a chinese company. Looks like they catch up alot. I love the brakes, the TFT screen and the bi directional quick shifter. Till date, this bike is getting more and more popular in Singapore. Many riders here gave up their Japanese and continental makes in favour of this chinese made. I'm currently riding a 2018 Suzuki VStrom DL1000XT and a 2016 Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z.
They steal ideas from other manufacturers 🤦🏼♂️
@@motorcyclemichael2182Guess what? They manufacture for huge brands too. Surprised enough?
How do you compare it to the Tenere?
@@jussiroiko5574 800MT is lighter and easier to ride than XT1200Z. I really like the 800MT quick shifter. Reliability wise, Super Tenere Gen2 is more bulletproof because Gen1 you need to do some upgrades. I can't vote for 800MT reliabilities as it needs years to proof itself. However, we have 2 riders riding 2 800MT from Singapore to England. I'm following their FB pages currently.
😊
It’s also got turn by turn navigation on the screen if you download the free app on your cell 👍
Great review! Seems like lots of value for the money. My last adventure moto was a Moto Guzzi Stelvio and loved it! the CFMoto Ibex 800T might be my next purchase especially for what you get at the price point.
Great looking bike and great value. I may just trading my F800 for this one
Just got one , yesterday from Ride Now, in Vista, Ca. $ 10,700 OTD. Del Amo wanted $ 12,600 for a demo bike. Fun Bike supposedly had $ 2000 off, but went back up to $ 12,600 with bullshit dealer markup.
Thanks you your input on this bike. Have you seen ALL the app features as well on this bike. Wow 🤩
I am really loving my Explore, wont take it over mud or something extreme due to lack of experience but is fun!!!!! And great for my long highway commuting 😅😅
I wish Suzuki would have added the USD front forks, and features to my 2021 Vstrom that this bike has. I may need to trade up from Suzuki V650 to CFMoto. Thank you.
The things I worry about is the amount of technology offered and how good is the dealer support fixing electrical issues? It’s hard enough to find a decent mechanic to work on basic bikes.
Test rode this bike twice a few weeks ago. Awesome bike, amazing features for the price, however there were two major issues for me. 1) The throttle off idle is horrendous, very jerky off/on. I rode it a second time in rain mode and it was no better. This is a major issue at low speeds in low gears, think parking lot or off road. 2) The indicator switch is mushy with no positive "click" feedback, I constantly had to check if I had activated or cancelled them or not. If they fix those two issues it would be a no brainer buy, but those two issues, especially the throttle response off idle killed it for me.
Have you heard of the on/off throtle of the ktm 990 😊? Im positive its the same thing. You can fix it with a remap.
They have a very simple throttle fix that removes a lot of that jerkiness
Wish it reflected what you can see on your mobile phone on the screen and had the front camera like the TRK 702x
Your GoPro sensor just died. Did it recover somehow or you had to exchange it? I’ve seen this in really hot conditions, that’s no excuse though I think it just accelerates a manufacturing flaw that would have shown up anyway, just a theory though. I’ve seen a few moto tubers with similar issues.
Love this bike - the look and all the features. Make a version for 5' shorties or capable of lowering height, and I'd buy it for sure. 😍👍🏽
Agree! Make a 300-400cc version and I'd get one for my 5'2" daughter who is just starting riding. There are a lot of great bikes that many people can't ride because the bike is too tall. They need to stop ignoring shorter riders and limiting them to like cruisers.
Nice bike. RH mirror adjustment looks very wonky.
Heated seat is standard as well.
Didnt know about this bike.. now I need it lol
How much are these bikes? I’ve never heard of them. What’s the reliability like?
The bike looks good, but I would like to ask about the wind protection, does it protect or not
Yes and no. Rode it last week, and it needs to higher. Your head does catch sudden gust, but at 90mph its not bad
Fwiw those guards definitely beat nothing I suppose, but not to the degree they encourage people to not buy aftermarket upgrades because these are like triumphs stock drop guards, then bend insanely easy. It’s almost like they’re more scuff guards than drop guards.
I think you have it backwards, Cf Moto makes the engine for KTM not the other way around.
I think it's only for the ktm 790.
nope, this model has ktm engine
in fact, cf moto re-engineered the 'old' 790 engine (with ktm) and that resulting engine is used in the new 2023 ktm 790 adventure and in this bike...and in more 800 bikes to come from various manifacturers like cf moto and ktm...
Dealer network will be the issue in the UK as well as all the dealers so far as I can see are all in England and quite far south at that so not a practical buy for me but it looks a nice bike
Thanks, just got one
I am amazed
Just saying I really enjoy these reviews, we should switch to " Shut up and buy " for the reviews. 👍👍👍
With that KTM engine should be good power and torque wise.
All the comments about "CF Moto is a Chinese company, no thanks!" are coming from people who don't own CF Moto bikes. Talk about close-minded.
that thing has Quick shifter and auto bleep!
@MotoJitsu in your humble opinion do you think it's wise for me to swap my 2018 VStrom 650 for the CFMoto IBEX 800T? I know it's night and day in technology, but what about reliability? Suzukis are so reliable that makes me doubt my decision. What do you think? Anyone?
It does have a quick shifter
Hi Greg, Tiger 900 pro as almost all the stuff mentioned stock.
The Tiger 900 GT costs $6400 more!
@@Ry-lx2kl more than fair point 👍
Not sure I'm happy with the bike I most recently purchased. 2015 zero s. Not bad, but not the most comfortable. Don't know that I want to settle with it. Debating about doing another spur-of-the-moment action trading it in. Registration is due sweet time would be now but probably not going to at least get the registration and test drivers first. It hurts because I'm poor and it might be cheaper to get a new bike, other than repairs to two have. Tires, overall maintenance due to age, luggage, charger when goes out
Nice bike
Great bike , much value for the dollar.. BUT virtually no dealer network…thus NO SALE And did I mention that the OTD price is nearly $14k…. That’s KTM money…
You should try the 650GT if you have the chance
I don’t think the gt650 is sold in the USA but it is a very appealing bike
Add some info about service and parts availability.
Didn't you say there will be exhaust change in one of the videos?
It will be my next bike!
I still need ur opinion on an Indian Challenger dark horse. Ill allow u to pick the color 😂😂😂 love ur content man!

Met the CFMoto guys last week @ Lusail MotoGP - they state that the competition is the BMW 850.
i get a feeling this brand will only be cheap for atleast a year or three
The Tiger has all the same stuff apart form the standard crash bars.
Yah, 18,000🤷♂️
@@trucker-d4161 More expensive for sure, but the question was around other bikes with these standard features.
@@ThreeStreets42 yah you’re right, but when it’s that far apart in price, then add the cost of crash guards for a triumph, it really is a great value. Just amazes me the comments, they never even heard of cfmoto🤷♂️, they know nothing about them, but they’re all experts. They’ve been in the atv, side by side for many years. They sell a ton of those, not your typical Chinese stuff. And the comment about supporting China, well they really need to research everything else they buy.
@@ThreeStreets42 yes I understand.
What's the warranty period?
2 yrs i think.
ive never heard of CF moto where are they manufactured? and how long do they last lol
They are a Chinese company who own's 51% of KTM. They do a lot of KTM's engines. They have been around for many years and so far these Ibex 800s are one of the best selling bikes in Australia. They call it the 800MT in other continents.

@@JasonRidesmotoAnd do they have a good reputation as far as reliability goes?
@@martinrea8548does KTM have a good reputation? I hope that answers your question lol
@@desertedcake Not really. You have answered my question with a question. I don't know much about KTM bikes, and I know nothing about CF Moto bikes. I have heard that KTM are good, high performance machines, but if something goes wrong, it is difficult to get parts for them. That's all I know.
What's wrong with mentioning the price?
just saying, you misspelled it in your title
The new V Strom p/t msrp is $8+k . I think I’d be happy with a known brand for less.
CF moto putting their luggage rack on from the factory was clever considering the only boxes that fit them are the ones from CF Moto.
Not true, do your homework, many brands are adjustable. I have Lone Rider on my vstrom.
Can get a givi conversion bracket for panniers.
I’m curious if the height can be lowered. It’s a nice bike.

Supposedly
No. I test rode one 2 weeks ago. The throttle off idle is horrendous.
So what doyou think..
How much does it cost???
dont have internet? google to make a search?
The ibex sport version starts at 9k usd and I think this one, t model, has more features so it’s like around 12k usd
Really? Just a google away🤷♂️
Good for beginner?
Um, no? It's tall, heavy and not the cheapest.
Fuelling is crappy on those. I had one for a few months in Australia and when trying to sell it, the loss is more than 40% after leaving the dealer. On highway it is great, but on traffic jam it is crappy. It almost overheated 3 times, but the fan kicked in just in time before a had to do an emergency stop.
So the fan kicked in when it was supposed to?
@@trucker-d4161 The only bike I had that worked hot like that was my vtr1000f many years ago. I just found this week that cfmoto is recalling the motorcycles for the water pump impeller because they are cracking.
@@erosas887 ok, so that’s ktm, good lord, that means they’re no good?
@@trucker-d4161 If your plan is to ride only on highway it is amazing because you don't feel the crappy fuelling in low speeds or the heat issue, but it has lots of factory extras like heated grips, crash bars, .... My daily ride was 40km on highway and then 30km on heavy traffic where in many areas lane filtering is impossible.
@@erosas887 no I get that, but when you have bad fueling, you certainly will fell it anywhere at low speeds. But I’m sure somewhere I read that they reflashed for that. Lots of different bikes have had fueling issues.
[ Nice ] :)
Has lean fueling issues at low speed. Coming up to a light in 2nd or 3rd gear, it would lurch pretty bad as soon as it dropped to 3000 rpm. Have found a couple of sources for ECU flash. I'll wait till I have 500 miles to do a baseline top speed run, before getting it flashed, then top speed after. Pretty sure it will take an aftermarket exhaust from a KTM 790 / 890/.
I think his GoPro has been on the mushrooms...
Be interested to see how they go in a few years. They might be a trash disposable bike.
They are still an unproven item, wait until 50/60,000 miles roll around.
I first rode a CF Moto in 2002'ish in BC. It was called a v3 and it was hilarious. Just find a picture of one, its inspiringly bad looking. They've grown up since then.
Farout yeh,the V3 is definitely weird looking bike alright!
It's too bad KTM sold out to this Chinese company CF Moto who now make their 790/890 platforms but I guess the allure of cheap labor/parts is too strong to prevent these companies from doing so.
