The senior member of the royal family with whom Harry spoke is Princess Anne and she did not inquire with any malice or racist overtones. She is absolutely not racist.

It was so manipulative of Meghan to say this. Indian people come in a range of shades. Some Northern Indians look Italian. Some Indian are so dark that they look Black/African. When 2 Indian people of different skin colours get pregnant... Indian families (the in-laws) always ponder what the baby will look like. It's the same with a couple where the Dad has blackest of black hair and with hazel eyes, and the Mom has fiery red hair and startling blue eyes.... people will wonder (and maybe hope) that the baby will have blackest of black hair with piercing blue eyes. How cool would that be? People always wonder "who the baby will look like". It's not weird. It's not racist (except with Indian people. Old Indian people DON'T want their grand babies coming out dark because of their racist standard of beauty from the olden days). Chris Rock did a comedy special calling out Meghan. He said BLACK FAMILIES ALSO discuss out loud... how the baby will looks (what skin colour it will be). Even if Princess Margaret did say those words.... it's not weird, it's not different, and it's not racist (unless she said, "I HOPE the baby doesn't come out tan"). But she didn't say that.

Not long after the Oprah interview, a new white friend explained that she was married to a man whose parents were from Nigeria. She told me about their four kids, their lives, etc. There were three boys & a girl. Of the boys one was black, one brown and one white. The girl was born with sort of Bollywood (light) South Asian colour. Suddenly my friend gasped and stopped, tearful, saying she was not a racist but, it sounded like she was, weeping. All this from simply lovingly decribing her kids whilst the RF was being accused of making remarks about H & M's child. It took ages to reassure her. She and another mixed race Mum had talked excitedly about their babies likely colour whilst pregnant, as well as boy/girl, etc. If this offends you stop,- every colour of skin on this Earth is beautiful. And the kids? The first two were born within 2 years, and very close. The third (white) was a young teenager 4 years younger. The first two went into business. People made comments to the white son that upset him, so he was keen on fighting injustice. The sister, born before the youngest boy, was not an intellectual or entrepreneur, or budding socially commentator. She was adored by the family and preoccupied with make-up and boys. Each child was doted upon. Their colour, the discussion, the honesty, should not be taboo. We have made something very simple into a such a tangle of artificial PC rules that a mother dare not talk about her childrens colour. What really struck me? Like many kids all four used her as a full taxi service! It sounded familiar 📱🚕😂

In the Oprah interview, Meghan said "they were so attacking and inciting so much racism, really, it changed our . . . the risk level, because it went . . . it wasn’t just catty gossip. It was bringing out a part of people that was racist" Quoted from the Oprah interview. These are the Markle words, in the interview- not mine.
