1:30 Look, this is where I sleep, and here are my few pet starfish.
Daaaaw! We actually have a lot of them who are pretty much residents at the marina in my town! I used to play with them all the time when I was younger, I gave them names and everything! One even popped up out of the water to try and touch my hand! ❤❤❤

I have had many encounters with these animals but nothing quite like this, what an amazing experience! I'm surprised you weren't scared when it kissed your lens like that! Each seal has its own personality but obviously, this guy was down to swim with you. Great video

When I took my then young children to SeaWorld in 1996, we saw the bottling harbor seals in the seal pool. Definitely one of cutest things a person can witness. We stayed until the park was just about empty and my kids cried as we finally had to leave the seal pool for the parking lot.
I've never known how cute they could look when swimming underwater with such agility.

for some reason my big brother mistook this seal for a leopard seal... i mean their are similarities but these creatures are very different :D

Haha good question! You only get the bends from breathing air under pressure, so because seals don't bring scuba tanks down with them, they can not get bent!

In your experience (and I'm asking this question with full knowledge that seals /= dogs, and that they diverged evolutionarily millions of years ago, and...oh my god, qualifiers sorry): how dog-like is their general behavior? I could pretty much watch them all day at the zoo and feel satisfied thereafter.

Haha yeah never approach them! If they come up to you that's one thing, but you never want to go up to them, especially when they are on land.
