Try out this delicious recipe for Kimchi Jjigae, Kimchi and Pork Belly Stew! It's hot, spicy, and savory!
Ingredients List:
1 x onion
4 x green onion
2 x garlic
1/2 lb. pork belly (thick slice)
1 lb. kimchi
1/2 lb. tofu
1 tbsp. sesame oil
4 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. gochugaru (red chili flakes)
1 tbsp. soy bean paste
1 tbsp. gochujang (red chili paste)

  • Fry the pork and then fry garlic before you put in kimchi then the garlic will be much tastier

    • Yes you can use fresh kimchi but it will change the flavor profile slightly. Fermented kimchi will give a stronger sour and tangy flavor that goes well with stews and stir fry.

    • It already sits in some water, but it never hurts to rinse more. Just be gentle.
