Trapping is excellent knowledge to have as another way to provide meat for you and your family. This is quickly becoming a forgotten skill but not all is lost. In this video, I do a short demonstration of setting up a soft catch #1 trap for rabbits.

I have the 1 1/2 traps. My question is, can I set one up and bait it? Just set a apple cider vinegar mush up over the plate?
You should set up on an active game trail. Your bait should not be on the pan, the animal needs to step over the pan to have a good foothold. So the bait if you use it should be just past the trap through the trail.
