TRAPPING RABBITS in my GARDEN *humanely*

A few days ago I noticed that a rabbit had found its way into my garden. This may not seem unusual for most, but this summer I made the investment to fence off my garden from all rodents around the farm. After investigating further I found a spot where the rabbit must have weaseled its way in. I reinforced that spot and then set out to humanely trap and relocate the rabbit outside of my garden area. In this video, I go through the process of preparing the garden for trapping a rabbit and then how I bait and relocate the little furry friend.

"I'll be back".
If you release it outside the fence he’s just gonna come right back
turn him into food
That was good food you let run away, chicken of the woods my man. Next time fry that wabbit up and make some biscuits and gravy.
I love Rabbits! With Salt and Pepper.
How long did it take?
How nice. Has he returned? Or has that worked?
Thanks very much for your review. I've seen so many of these reviews where they don't show how to release the animal. I'm glad to see that it can be done safely
I never realized how fast rabbits where
Awesome! Mine got loose, but is avoiding the trap. agrrrr Thanks for sharing.
Good luck!
Rabbits are lightening ⚡️⚡️ FAST!!!!!! Now a question 😉 Have you figured out how to fix the entry way that the rabbit 🐇 used 🤔 Thank You sooo very much for treating the rabbit 🐇 so humanely ❤️❤️
The way i see it, if the rabbit has been eating from my garden, then it is no different from any of the live stock I feed. Any live stock that I feed either has to be producing food or will become food. I'd either fatten it up or outright prep it for a meal.
There are ways to take care of these problems without killing. Thank you for showing everyone how easy it really is. You're awesome!
The problem is, if you don't kill them, they reproduce and then you end up with a bigger and bigger problem. This effects not only you, but your neighbors as well. No self-respecting human on the planet will allow wild animals to take their crops. Death is the only answer.
How do you complain of having not enough rabbits?
Too much conversation, not enough content.
Thanks for humanely trapping the rabbit. Love watching you!
Glad you enjoyed! :)
Won't he just come right back?
Hey, thank you. Rabbits came this week and ate our expensive roses :) will do what you did
COOK AND CLEAN , DON'T RELEASE
I use a rabbit trap just like this, and the rabbits never ever come back. Because I eat them.
Need to know size of trap. I have a rabbit with a Dart thru its back. Nasty trying to save it
It's funny that rabbit ate all that food in such a short time
Thank goodness you didn’t kill it because that would be horrible
I use Have No Heart traps.
You didn't show the trap set. Without a chicken wire fence I would take the rabbit at least 2 miles away.
What was the point of trapping this rabbit if your goal was to release him on site? Should have just saved the cost of the trap and fixed the entry point.
Rabbit climb fences also electric fence be best bet or try eating them
That fence won't stop a groundhog!
Our local rabbits decimated our garden this year. We never did find anything that worked 😱 Also chipmunks eat tomatoes by reaching up from under the tomatoes and eating the bottom of the low hanging tomatoes. Chipmunks also dug up all the zucchini seeds as fast as they were planted. We sprinkled cayenne pepper on and around the plants which didn’t deter anything. Super healthy vegan rabbits and chipmunks. Eliminating water bowls did keep the raccoons away.
I have a rabbit eating the food I’m growing for my family. It’s a rodent. I came looking for help to catch it. My dogs seem to be useless. I’m so disgusted with them. They just chase like it’s a game. I prefer to kill it. Jeez.
Rabbits are great. Best served fried or baked.
@Stacie baby bun 😂😂😂
Yeah where I live at we're overrun with rabbits on doing a very aggressive approach I have a Honda big red converted to a two-wheeled huge fat low pressure tires that's perfect for running down the rabbits in the rose of the garden I'll be setting snares and to catch them and then just run them over with big red we can't shoot them cuz of the ordinances and all the farmland and everything is gone now it's all houses for the last few Farm surrounded by progress and it's so bad that the rabbits are eating the bark off the trees I mean any given time and the fields Outback there's thousands of them it's never been like this and I just don't know what else to do so I just run them down and run over the rabbits but there's so many you can't help but run them over as they run so fast but most of them end up just running right under my tires but with so many of them the garden is just going to be almost impossible and the rabbits are so destructive I don't feel bad running them down as I crush them flat under my tires we are just overrun with rabbits and so for now until I can figure a different way to deal with them I use big red as it's very efficient that running them over and see if I can reduce the rabbit population that I doubt it
Rabbit is like: HELP
I really wish I could have a wild rabbit but #1) it’s illegal where I am #2) there are no breeders and #3) I don’t have a cage for one
Thank you, I have that same problem with a juvenile rabbit. He is not a juvenile delinquent yet. Yes, he deserves to be free. I have the same idea about not killing them. I will though if things get tough with food shortages. By freeing them it makes for an easy solution for being able to shoot one when needed for food. If I kill all the rabbits off now, then that would be shooting myself in the foot. My wife is mostly a vegetarian, and I am mostly a carnivore. I still love to garden so I don't mind keeping tasty rabbits around, I just don't want them where they don't belong. I hope I never have to eat one, but we must survive somehow someway.
I have had a rabbit eating my plants. I might try this! I would have to take mine further to release it...... 🤔. Great video!
Don't forget rabbits live in communities usually so you don't want to be releasing your rabbit away from their supporting community, or in a dangerous place for them. Can you fence off your plants instead?
I would catch a rabbit just to torture it.
No kill it.
I'LL be back
I hate to tell you but rabbits can go right through that chicken wire I’ve seen them do it and I have never live trapped a rabbit they are too smart they jump right over the paddle trigger eat the bait and jump right back out over it .I even had it on video
LMAO Charles
Nonsense to set rabbit free. You have avoid the problem.
IMMA KILL THE RABBIT I CATCH!! That damn thing has destroyed some of my flowers 🌺 I hate that damn thing!!!
So, vegan, do you also release mice and rats when caught? Let someone else inherit your problem? Not everything deserves to live.
You lost me at vegan…. Sorry man.
