Costa isn’t wreckless like Whittaker though, and he will eat izzys punches easily, just look at the Romero vs Costa fight, for the first 2 rounds costa had Romero PRESSED against the cage the whole time throwing mad bombs, he caught some too but that just shows his iron chin. Heaven knows if Costa commits himself, or fights recklessly like he did with Romero he just might get K.Oed it’s gonna take a very gifted and disciplined fighter to beat Izzy ,his counter striking ability is next to non , his Jabs and hooks , kicks and elbows all well coordinated and executed, and nobody has successfully used their grappling or wrestling against Izzy, isn’t that something to think about , this kids footwork is next to non.

Thing is, Izzy never has to deal with not having the height or reach advantage. With his defensive striking style, it’s reasonable to expect safety to come from managing distance properly. But when you finally face an opponent who’s the same height as you and can use the same technique of leaning back while throwing hooks without losing the ability to connect…let’s see what happens. I’m excited for 281.

Time does beat all, I'm just using this more to talk about boxing with another fan Floyd was not only unique in being the best defensive boxer, the other unique quality even I overlooked and was very interested by it when noticing was Floyd never performed below Floyd level despite his age. We've seen Floyd dig deep before but Idk I'd we have ever seen Floyd tired. Like not one round his entire career, which is what his opponents actually tall about rhe most after. That Floyd was infamous for still training harder than any other fighter even at his oldest. That's pretty nuts Jones AND Hopkins are a little diff in each way. Jones Def may have been untouchable for years after actually losing to Tarver if he simply stayed at his normal weight. Most people crediting his weight gain to Heavyweight then returning to a lower weight again for Tarver and his loss. They would talk about how doing that changes your speed and reflexes, which is interesting. And Hopkins, your Def right on that. He was like Floyd, infamous for training like a madman and having that champion mentality. A shame how he went out but remember when he was doing push ups in between rounds in one of his last fights? Man that was amazing That's the mentality that makes me a fan of certain fighters, like Khabib in UFC. That he trains harder than anyone else fighters say. That he is a Floyd type where the belt isn't rhe end. His work ethic is caused by the desire to be totally undefeated and a long reign as the champion. A great example I didn't notice first watch. Watch Khabib vs Conor again. You'll notice Khabib didn't sit between the rounds. I've seen them doing that in movoes like warrior but didn't catch it yet in real fight till Khabib Conor. What a brutal display of breaking the other fighters will. An amazing mental warfare trick

They would talk about how doing that changes your speed and reflexes, which is interesting. And Hopkins, your Def right on that. He was like Floyd, infamous for training like a madman and having that champion mentality. A shame how he went out but remember when he was doing push ups in between rounds in one of his last fights? Man that was amazing That's the mentality that makes me a fan of certain fighters, like Khabib in UFC. That he trains harder than anyone else fighters say.
