  • Dave, after watching this the other day, I went to 2 of the 3 targets that are within 4 miles of my house. Their dumpsters are full of strollers. It's crazy! I was alone, and the dumpsters were super deep, so I couldn't pull them out. I did pass the word, so hopefully, someone gets them.

    • Baby products get recalls for safety issues. Personally I think it crap, just so u have to buy need stuff in my opinion. Like how could a car seat have an expiration date????

    • Ev ,great till u have to replace that battery. Some go for as much as $7,000. And there again it's not an environmentally friendly product to make nor dispose of.

  • You could try stripping the ethernet cable into the 8 individual wires and then selling it as regular copper wire, may get away as that thin insulation variety. Stripping it is relatively easy, especially if in long lengths... cut a bit of insulation at the end, tie two pairs of wires to something and pull on the other two pairs and the exterior sleeve will just split. Would also use much less space as you could even spool the 8 wires on something.

    @mariushmedias@mariushmediasАй бұрын
    • The ethernet gets a lot more $$ than the regular low grade insulated. $0.80-1.00/lb ... at that price it's not worth stripping it for me. I'd rather go out and find more stuff. Just my 2 cents though, I know a lot of people break stuff down and make more $$, just not my jam.

    • My System One ladder rack just arrived yesterday. I'll be doing an install video in the next 1-2 weeks. It'll effectively give me those side walls and a mounting area to hold stuff like the picker stick and other tools. I'm really excited about it.

  • For the copper have you thought of getting a furnace and smelting it? Even a trash can furnace that you could build for less then 100? Melt it down to pure copper get a better price

    • Cool idea ... I'd just rather go out and find more stuff. I don't actually find that much copper. There's definitely $$ to be made breaking stuff down .. I just dont' have the patience.

  • To make the copper worth more money you can make a easy stripping tool and then melt it down in a grill with heat bricks. Same with you aluminum and any lead. The cleaner the better plus it takes up less storage. You can do all the melting in your back yard while you wife is resting. Then recycle the waste that you pull off. We made our tool with just 2 boards and the proper holes drilled to fit each size of wire. Then made slits in the wood for razors. Screw the razor to the wood and when its dull just replace it. Can turn a 55 gal drum full of wire to a gallon size brick .
