A guy was walking down the street carrying a car door. A truck driver saw him and yelled, hey watcha doing with that car door. Guy replied, when I get hot I roll down the window.
U could make Charcuterie Boards out of those floor samples. They are pretty popular and expensive, irl
I don't know how I haven't found your channel until now, and it is really enjoyable. The 3000 lb safe though...your efforts were great. Your channel is one which I will let all the ads play for support.
LOVE ur videos🎉 Scrap is Life Recycle till the Cows come home 😅
Thank you for another great dive 😀😀😀
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
The broken aquarium with a crack in it would be good to put plants in
The red thing with the key is a glad hand locks for semi trailers . They use those to put on the trailers to keep the driver from hooking up his airlines.
Good video and I love the map😎🤟🏼
Thanks. That map is going up on the wall for sure.
Nice seeing someone put a Lightning to work!
Those deck planters can go on top off the fence good finds
Yeah, we don’t have a deck like but some friends have called dibs on them lol
Board samples. Take off the label and sell on marketplace for craft. Woodworkers take it
It co-ax cable. Depends on your scrap yard, I use to buy it for aluminum breakage. Look like fun.
We just found your channel. We like your channel!
Welcome, thanks for subscribing!
Crawfordsville Arkansas here
Love the work! Keep it up! You come across enough heavy/awkward stuff that it might be worth it to pick up the truck bed cranes they have at Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. They’re between $100-200 but saves your back and make it easier to haul some of that out of the dumpster.
I'd love to get a lift gate installed. The new truck is 5 inches higher than my old Tacoma, I didn't think it would matter, but I'm defintely noticing lol
The Vernors was classic! Plus the vintage Certron cassette in the b/g.
It is truly hard work , you need a long box truck like mine 😛
For a country 34 Trillion in Debt, we sure throw alot of useable stuff away in a highly disposable lifestyle pattern.
Stuff in cans does not spoil unless the can is damaged.
Why do you have pieces of a mannequin in your trunk you really should take that out of there because that looks strange
To get people to comment about the weird stuff in my truck 😂. Just kidding, if you watch the vid before this one, you'll recognize the thumbnail, you'll see I found a ton of mannequins. I'm planning to hide the parts around the house to scare my wife.
Also, pretty sure most the cable you got from the ATT is just steel coax. steel core with a sometimes copper sometimes aluminum outer shielding. There is such thing as copper coax but its mainly just used in old CCTV applications
The yard was closed Friday and Saturday for Easter. Then on Monday they were giving an extra $10 a ton on shred.
I did go on Monday, thought the price had gone up permanently. Oh well, I was happy to get a bit extra.
I wonder if you could use the floor samples for flooring in the chicken coop?
The red thing with the key in it is a glad hand lock. Where truckers hook their air lines to the trailer you slip this over the hook up on the trailer, pull the key and pop in the button. Now no one can hook up and move the trailer. 😉
I took some cables into my scrap yard once like the ones you found and they cut the ends off and the ends had gold pins in them and they paid me #2 copper for the rest of it...each cable weighed 1.6lbs and there were 25 cables per box and I had 37 unopened boxes...it was a great payday...if you are unsure about it take it to the scrapper and let them tell you if they will buy it but I always take it just in case
You tossed money away. There's copper in those florescent starters.
You're likely right. To be honest I just don't have the patience to part stuff out, I'd rather go find more stuff. Just my style, there's definitely money to be made breaking stuff down.
Happy Good Friday scrappers!!! Keep on Scrapping...
Yeah took some comments for me to figure this out lol
No Pub Mix? Cool hobby you have!!
I'm keeping that pub mix lol. And yeah it's a fun one.
A short box on a truck is completely useless.
Nice haul. Build out that truck box. Will be good.
The rack arrived today, gonna be installing it when my Dad gets into town next week.
Im not sure exactly how large they are but I think that the flooring samples would make great cutting boards. I am really enjoying your videos.
Glad you’re liking the vids! Unfortunately the flooring samples are coated with something.
It was Good Friday sr
Ooohhhhh. That makes sense now. Thanks for helping me clear that up.
They would be great for meat cutting boards
Unfortunately they had some kind of flooring finish on them
you.can use the floor samples to make dart boards?
All that pet food could go direct to an animal shelter, what a waste by mean spirited corporates. So many shelters struggle….
Just found your channel…new subscriber….love the content
Thanks for watching. Welcome!
I working in logistics company and sometimes the receivers rejecting the shipment due to the broken pallets or other reason . That's happening everywhere on a big DC .
Are u from Buffalo NY? I'm from Chicago , how often are you there ?
That's why I go to the big warehouse complexes, I've found those pallets worth of product tipped into the dumpster before. I made a couple grand last year from 3 pallets of paper towel dispensers. Yeah I'm in Buffalo. Haven't been out to Chicago in a few years.
I strip it sometimes have copper shielding the fittings are stainless or brass basically it's kind of a like antenna power cable for signal boosting or transmitting I think but if you find a bunch that's in good shape it sells for over a dollar a foot good luck man I like your channel I'm subscribing and liking Scrappy later
I’m gonna start garbage picking I need side money
It's a good way to make some extra $$ for sure. So many ways to go after it too. You could resell furniture or big stuff locally on FB marketplace, sell smaller stuff on eBay, turn in scrap metal, find household goods or construction material you would have bought anyway.
But you made loads with Truth Social going public. Trump2024
@@gazb87yorkshiresalt48 In 1990, Spy sent 13-cent checks to the world's richest people. (In NYC) Only two cashed them: an arms dealer & Donald Trump.
I would donate the pet food to a animal shelter. Several here are always asking for donations for food
That’s a good idea. But putting it out for free is the lowest effort for me.. and the most important thing is someone is putting it to use.
And there's gold in computer's
Would those flooring samples make good cutting boards?
Wish i woulda found this channel sooner. Very entertaining, and dumpster diving channels are few and far between
Thanks. I love getting comments like this. I've been putting a lot more effort into the longform videos lately.
@@LoveInTheDumpster Keep it up! I love people being real as well. Sometimes I feel like Mike the Scavenger (if you watch him) feels very fake occasionally. Still fun to watch but I love the more real videos
Nuce truck
Thanks, just hit 1000 miles.
You need a trailer.
Good friday??
Yeah I think that's what it was.
I would try to throw everything directly into the back, not on the floor and again onto the car.
A nusery home might want the masks that u cant use. But im not sure lol
They disappeared in front of our house within a few hours.
@@LoveInTheDumpsterthats Good!!
@@LoveInTheDumpstersorry i commented bf your video was over
There's copper in TV's. Did you know that? The older ones have copper and the newer ones have aluminum in them
Yeah, it's just a lot of work to part them out. I'd rather go find more stuff, just my style.
@@LoveInTheDumpster ok. I understand that. But I'm used to watching Mike the scavenger and he takes everything apart before he takes it back to the scrap yard
The larger cables @ ATT are just large coaxial cable- aluminum breakage, nobody will buy them for anything. The connections should be aluminum
Thanks for the info!
Hi,this is my first time watching you, wow you have a beautiful truck to haul scrap, but you don't have a big box to put scrap in ,you should have a trailer,I subscribed, liked and hit the bell, my name is Adrian i'll be following you ,good luck.
Thanks for subscribing! I plan to get a trailer soon. And I'll be installing a ladder rack this weekend that will give me sidewalls.
Make chopping boards 😊
Why not open the all in one aquarium and take all the other supplies out of the broken one
Should have done that
My area human society has a free commodity box for donations and where people can get free pet food and stuff. Someone mentioned about donating the masks to a senior living facility, please check to see if the product has an expiration date. Sounds weird but they are not able to use if expired even the mask.
Most of the stuff I donate I just leave it between the curb and the sidewalk and it disappears.
What sort of insurance premiums do you pay on your truck as a commercial vehicle? I've looked into thus and companies want more than $1k a month ! Geez! But I earned operating the truck without it would result in being banned entirely. Law enforecement fines were well over $1k for each instance. Damn. Operating as a scrap collector could easily cost me more than $5k a week if caught. How do you it? I don't want to run illegal. How do you operate your setup legally? Suggestions?
It's only a commercial vehicle for registration purposes (15lbs over the 6000lb limit in NY). It's still on our insurance as a personal vehicle.
I have one thing to say David get a trailer dude I have 6 and dude I rack up every week
Very very nice video kaibigan
you can probably give that cat food to the chickens too, dont think they would care lol.
I’m sure they’d eat it.
No selling at Clarence??
The flea market out there?
@@LoveInTheDumpster i use to do it.. my folks lived in east aurora, so free room n board, havent done it in several years. My folks r gone so my free ride ended... I do avon 2-3x during the season
one frito-lay distributor threw a hissy fit over dumpster divers and put up a 12' perimeter wall topped with looped razor wire . now the drivers have to unlock the gate drive through lock the gate load the truck unlock the gate drive out lock the gate run the route unlock the gate drive the truck in , lock the gate, park the truck get in their car unlock the gate drive out lock the gate and there are two truckees . all this over a few bags of stale chips . i now boycott frito . i buy grippo husman even generic . they had a buy 2 get 3 free sale i just walked right by
WB mason got rid of their dumpster because of me and put a semitrailer permanently at one of their docks and they fill that up now. Apparently my videos made it up to the COO of the company and everyone got chewed out for tossing new stuff out.
@@LoveInTheDumpster pfft ''for a few cents more.''
Stainless steel
👍👍👍
Bro lost one metal pipe on the way.... 3 where sticking out. When he arrives only 2 left....
In the beginning before the scrap run?
Looks really desolate.
Everyone needs a hobby lol. Modern day hunter gatherer.
On the mother board
Is that a electric truck?
Yeah, the EV F150
Dude... bx cable here is going for $1.97/lbs Canadian... you didn't take the transistors off the fluorescent lights $.60/lbs Canadian.. my man you're loosing big money I literally just took this exact same shit in a week ago
