mealworms seeing a sticker on produce: this is some serious gourmet shit
I wonder if they will eat sh*t
Why my throat burn?🥵
Finally some good fucking food
*why is it spicy*
JAJAJAJAJA
In case anyone was wondering: Mammals are the only ones that feel the pain effect from spicy foods. It comes from something called capsaicin that mimics a neurotransmitter that translates to pain or injury from heat or burning in the brain. Insects would only be deterred by physical heat or acidic properties strong enough to damage their bodies. Birds are also not susceptible to spice and are used by many plants such as the reaper pepper to eat and spread their seeds.
it's so interesting the chemicals plants produce to deter certain animals from eating them, but we enjoy them for that reason. like caffeine and nicotine are naturally produced insecticides
Does the stomach also have receptors for Capsaicin? If it's only the neurotransmitters only giving the illusion of heat, why do I have diarrhoea whenever I eat spicy food? 😢
@@dangerousatomizer6162perhaps a website called google could offer some insight instead of a random youtube commenter
@@dangerousatomizer6162 i believe that happens because there's receptors in your intestines, and the pain makes your body push it through the system faster that it usually does

I rarely see people eating excessively hot food, toss their cookies.. alcohol on the other hand does. when a person binge drinks too fast, the body sees the alcohol as a toxin and you toss it before it has a chance to fully absorb..

The Carolina Reaper is a type of chili pepper that is currently the hottest pepper in the world. It measures an average of 1.5 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), with some individual peppers reaching over 2 million SHU. The Carolina Reaper is known for its intense heat, which can cause extreme pain and discomfort if consumed in large amounts. Mealworms, on the other hand, are the larvae of darkling beetles. They are commonly used as a food source for reptiles, birds, and other animals. They are high in protein and other nutrients, making them a popular choice for pet owners and some people who incorporate them into their diets. In terms of comparison, it is difficult to directly compare Carolina Reapers and mealworms as they are completely different things. Carolina Reapers are a type of chili pepper known for their extreme heat, while mealworms are a type of insect commonly used as a food source. However, if you are asking about the level of spiciness, Carolina Reapers would undoubtedly be much hotter than mealworms. Carolina Reapers are considered one of the hottest peppers in the world, while mealworms do not have any spiciness or heat associated with them. In terms of consumption, Carolina Reapers should be consumed with caution due to their extreme heat. They are often used sparingly in cooking or as a challenge for those who enjoy spicy foods. On the other hand, mealworms can be eaten as a snack, used in cooking or baking, or incorporated into various dishes. Overall, the Carolina Reaper and mealworms are two completely different things. Carolina Reapers are extremely hot chili peppers, while mealworms are edible larvae commonly used as a food source.

Fun fact: capsaicin, the chemical that makes hot peppers spicy, evolved specifically against mammals. Basically only mammals and birds were eating the peppers, and birds spread seeds way, way better than mammals, so the ones with more capsaicin got eaten by more birds and less mammals. What that basically means is that for these meal worms eating Carolina reapers isn't any different than eating a bell pepper since the capsaicin doesn't react with their body chemistry.
