10000 Mealworms VS Fish Head, Venus Flytrap, Corn, Kinder Surprise Egg
This time I fed my mealworms some Lollo Rosso lettuce, fish heads, venus flytrap plant, corn on the cob, Kinder Surprise Egg.
Strangely the worms finished the fish heads very quickly and surprisingly they couldn't handle the kinder surprise egg. They don't like chocolate :)
Some info about mealworms:
Mealworms are the larval form of the mealworm beetle, Tenebrio molitor, a species of darkling beetle. Like all holometabolic insects, they go through four life stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. Larvae typically measure about 2.5 cm or more, whereas adults are generally between 1.25 and 1.8 cm in length.
Burrowing and eating are a top priority when it comes to being a mealworm, and they will eat just about anything. They will eat grains, vegetables, any organic material, fresh or decaying. This plays a huge role in the ecosystem. Mealworms aid in the decomposition of any spoiled organic material.

Mealworm fun fact:
Mealworms are not worms. They do look wormish, but they are insects. :)

Imagine visiting this guys house. You see the tray of mealworms. He locks the door. You glance over at his desk, and on a piece of paper you see "Video ideas: Mealworms Vs. Human Body".
You're laughing but I bet it's a halfway decent manner to get rid of a body. Just need a smell-tight room and buckets and buckets of mealworms.

hats off the the venus flytrap taking one down with it. the only victim of the meal worms with a killcount on this channel so far.
It would more fair for the fly trap to have it in waves like, wave 1, 20 worms, then after a few hours wave 2 with 30 and so on as a scientific experiment to see their attack and defensive mechanims on both sides as well as ranking their robustness and resilience.
I now want to see a timelapse of a venus fly trap growing from a seed (being fed individual meal worms as it ages), and then consumed by the mealworms at the end. And whatever is left of the venus' body is turned to compost for a new venus seed.

Although mealworms are possibly the most benign feeder insect in the reptile trade, you still have to be careful with them. If they can eat trough a fish head, they can eat through a reptile. I had a small lizard lose a finger when mealworms escaped their bowl. I always feed little and often now.

Saw it at The Bone Museum in OKC. Very cool.
I keep reptiles so I breed multiple insects. I also clean up animal bones. I use those insects to clean up the smaller carcasses as they are only ones that can clean the bones inside and out. They are like tiny surgeons.
@@jasminahaverinen5759 I've kept reptiles and amphibians in the past too ^-^ I never bred my own insect as most of my family would be really worried about them escaping. I should be moving soon though and I plan on getting some bread of tree frog when I do. I also want to get a chameleon or anols again because those were my favourite reptiles to keep.
