Former Post Office CEO Paula Vennells refuses to comment on whether she misled parliament

Former Post Office CEO Paula Vennells refused to comment today when questioned by Channel 4 News if she lied to MPs.
It was the first time she has been seen publicly since this programme released damning revelations confirming Post Office management knew of issues with remote access to its Horizon system, several years before prosecutions were halted.
She will give evidence to the public inquiry next month.

    • I’d like to think it was a bug in the program that cause the accounting errors but it was noted by people both Fujitsu and Investigational as well as postmasters themselves but was totally ignored and powered that be knew of it as well. @alantalbott8377@alantalbott8377Ай бұрын

I suspect fujitsu were faking a bug to have a maintenance contract added. • I have worked closely with a number of CEO’s in the past, all have been fully aware of the importance of their position within the company they were in charge of. In the event of any kind of misfortune or mismanagement within the inner workings of any business, there’s a sliding scale of culpability. Depending on the severity of said misfortune or mismanagement, (like in this case, very severe) the higher up the hierarchal ladder the responsibility firmly sits. Any CEO that thinks they can’t be held accountable for other people’s actions, within their realm of responsibility is sadly mistaken. I don’t understand why PV and her associates ever thought otherwise, something tells me that they were so arrogant and up themselves, they thought quite wrongly, that they were all untouchable!
