I want to testify to something that just happened while my daughter and I were about half way through listening, enthralled by this magnificent sermon, she was holding a cup and the handle simply fell off spilling the remains of it's contents all over her! I stopped the video to see what had happened and we were astonished by it. What are the chances of such a thing happening randomly? I told her, "That, my daughter, is the evil one trying to interfere with us hearing God's word to us ALL. You can be assured you are hearing and doing the correct thing, when something like this occurs. The evil one and his minions will do whatever they can to distract us and subvert our attentions from goodness. Please remember this for discernment in the future." I may be wrong, but my soul says otherwise.

I'm sorry but this was not just lazy but cowardice by this priest. He's willing to rant about fellow Catholics and conservative politics but on a weekend that nationally showcased a man being brutally murdered by police, on the weekend that our church has the Sermon the Mount preached,he cannot even call for action for change? I don't get it. How is this homily energizing a hungry church?

I can also wake up tomorrow and claim that i have a message from some kind of god. Quaran is good when you are short with toilet paper. A stupid guy jumped off some Arabic desert 600 years after Jesus resurrection and started saying that he is a prophet. He listened to some stories from Christian Jews and others when worked with caravans, messed it up and started it's own. This has nothing to do to God of Abraham, God of Isaac,God of Jacob. Guy was so stupid that couldn't write, so basically this book of nonsense was created over 200 years after his death. Who can remember what someone said two centuries ago. It's ridiculous to believe that it has something to do to God Almighty.

Very powerful to hear the entire Sermon on the Mount read straight through. And yes, as was said, these are challenging and humbling words from our Lord ... but good words.
MAT 19: 4 - 6 "Have ye not read, that He who made man from the beginning, made them male & female? And He said: [5] For this cause shall a man leave father & mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh. [6] Therefore now they're not two, but one flesh. *What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder*"
Mark 10: 6-9 "But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male & female. For this cause a man shall leave his father & mother; and shall cleave to his wife. And they two shall be in one flesh. Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." ~ God makes no mistakes, and has the same law then, as now & forever. Whoa to those trying to amend God's law while questioning His justice.

Im am drinking right now this is the first time since sitting in a church i just was siting ive got adhd. I want to beleave. In god i dont know im drunk im trying im going in basic traning in june i want to be a good i try to help people i feel like i cant but i try even if i go to hell for being a solder or killing someone. I know i will be a good man. I will help one little thing like giveing 1$ to someone it helps beleave in god even if i cant be a good person help people for those who cant live by god i want to leave this world knowing that i helped someone a little bit
Sitting in a church is a good practice (well done on doing so because I've heard it's not easy if you've got ADHD) but you can also kneel in front of the Sacrament or a shrine. If you ever do something unfortunate on duty, remember the Church offers reconciliation through the Sacrament of Confession. Even in just wars, soldiers still have to confess killings before taking Communion. In any case, best of luck with basic training!

Forgive me Father but What if your brother keeps treating you badly even if we try to do Gods will , how do you deal with that. My mother is 102 and I have been minding her for twelve years with no assistance from my brother. I pay for her care after I had to sell my house and while he has a good job he refuses to pay anything. I really don’t know if I can continuously forgive someone who does not seem to care. Help !
You can only lead by example while sharing with your brother the Good News ~ he might find encouragement in part of today's sermon... (do unto others ~ our parents cared for us as children, and so should we care for them in later years)
Pray to the Holy Spirit to help you.

Believe in True God. God sent His only Son to keep us OUT of hell by Christ's perfect sacrifice! God gives ALL mankind the freedom to choose heaven or hell, we choose heaven by clinging to Jesus, and trusting the finished work of the cross ... But people who decide to reject the Way to heaven the Lord Jesus. (THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD) have already CHOSEN eternal hell, PLEASE THINK ABOUT It and FOLLOW JESUS! while it's STILL NOT too late!
My friend says God is not a person but a Spirit ( John 4:24). How to rebut?
Your friend has a lot of nerve citing The Gospel of John, because it literally starts with the Proclamation that Jesus is God: John 1:1-3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God, all things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made." In John 2:18-19 it reads "The Jews then said to him, "What sign have you to show us for doing this? Jesus Answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up" (Meaning His earthly body) Jesus didn't say "God would raise it up", He said "I will raise it up", making Him equal with God. In John 10:30 Jesus says "I and the Father are one" making Himself again equal with the Father, which is made even clearer because in the very next verse it reads "The Jews took up stones again to stone him". And Jesus replied "I have shown you many good works from the Father, for which of these do you Stone me?" And the Jews answered him "We Stone you for no good work but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God." In John 5:18 it reads "This was why the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath but also called God his Father, making himself equal with God. In John 8:57-58 it reads "The people said, "you aren't even 50 years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am! ("I Am" is another name for God) and also, this statement could not be possible in Biblical terms if Jesus was merely a creature. In John 14:6-11 It reads Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also, henceforth you know him and have seen him." Phillip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied." Jesus replied, ' after I have been with you all this time, you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the father. How can you say, 'Show show us the father?' Believe me that I am in the father and the father is in me, or else believe because of the works I do." In John 20:27_29 it reads "Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands, and put out your hand, and place it in my side, do not be faithless, but believing."Thomas answered him "My Lord and my God!" Now I will leave the book of John and cite other verses. In Philippians 2:5-6 it reads "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to." In Mark 14:61-64 it reads "But he was silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the son of the Blessed?" And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son Of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the Clouds Of Heaven." And the high priest tore his clothes, and said, "Why do we still need Witnesses? You have heard his blasphemy. What is your decision?" And they all condemned him as deserving death. (Because he once again made himself equal with God) In Isaiah 9:6 it reads "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name Shall be Called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." In Hebrews 1:8 God the Father calls Jesus God by saying "Your throne oh God, is forever and ever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom. In Matthew 1:23 it reads "Behold, the Virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel." (Which means, "God with us".) Conversely, I know a fellow who believes Jesus is God but doesn’t believe in the Trinity. He follows a preacher, Gino Jennings. He preaches God does not have three distinct personalities. Father, Son and Holy Ghost is the same person. A twist from usual anti-trinitarians that deny the deity of Jesus. Every scenario is promulgated.
