  • When I was in college in the 70's, I took my morning run in the early hours before most people had woken. One day while running, I felt a force within me leading me along a different path from the one I always took. I stopped at a beautiful water fountain. Then I felt a strong urge to sit on the retaining wall facing the waterfall. I got settled and looked up. I saw a vision of Jesus standing before me with the sweetest smile and His arms held out like He wanted to embrace me. Then I heard Him say to me, "Come to Me". He repeated the message several times before He dismissed me. I pondered over what He told me for years. I was shocked that He would appear before me to give me this message. About 9 years later I converted to Catholicism. Then I understood, Jesus wanted me to come to Him via the Holy Eucharist. He has been so good to me. He patiently and sweetly called me to Him, and I came.

  • Didn't know contentment was a spiritual gift...well I have it ! Despite or maybe because of a vicious spiritual attack lasting three years until I got deliverance prayers said over me and masses said in my houses..I went from being a lukewarm Catholic to someone who has a solid personal relationship with Jesus and Mary and a profound love of God -Father So0n and Holy Spirit and my Church, imperfect and all that it is. nothing phases menow, nothing -Just trust God and everything will work out- you MUST have faith ,hope and trust, see God in everyone and love them. We are all brothers and sisters on this journey.Thaank you Fr Mike for you inspirational homilies and your wisdom and thank you God for loving me and bringing me back to you.

  • If I lived near your church, I would convert to Catholicism. Your sermons are awesome. You feed my soul like it hasn't been fed for a long long time. I'm so disheartened with my church. It used to be great , but has now become a social event, it's all about not offending anyone.

  • This is so approriate to my murmuring time. I knew it was a wicked spirir that felt so familiar I never noticed it before. Its from my family. I prayed it to begone! And it turned into a flock of crows and flew off. Nothing against crows...

  • Please, Fr Michael, could you answer a couple of the many questions/problems I have? What is the significance of the number 40 in the Bible? It is mentioned often, and I have never been able to get a reasonable answer. Next one! I know and believe in the Holy Trinity, 3 persons, 1 God. Now if Jesus is God, why on the night of his betrayal, while praying in the garden of Gethsemane did He pray to the "Father", asking Him to take this cup from Him, but not my will but Your will be done??? Next one! Years ago I read a book on Eucharistic miracles, it was fascinating, but I stopped reading it because ( I'm ashamed to say knowing that it is the bread of life and Christs body) God forgive me, I felt like a cannibal every time I went to communion. I stopped the wine as it is the BLOOD of Christ. It was always a relief to taste the bread and the wine as bread and wine! I am a lapsed Catholic and haven't been to any church for years (except weddings and funerals). Being fortunate enough to travel, Mike, my husband, and I went on many pilgrimages, in Europe, eastern Europe, Medjugorje, and saw many Eucharistic miracles from way back when. Absolutely amazing and humbling.....but thinking back on it I don't think it helped my feeling of nausea and revulsion......God please forgive me. I don't know if Satan has got my soul but I must admit I'm afraid. ✝ Thank you Father, for you wonderful helpful homilies; you bring life to the Bible, just what I need. God bless you and keep you safe.
