when you put two single players who couldn't do much in single tournament to double, they create magic. I won't say they are the best double, but what they have achieved are brilliant at this era. I still vote for Serene/Venus for the best WD (of coz due to their overwhelming power).
Navratilova and Shriver would Handily def the Williams Sisters on all 4 grand slams. So would Kohde-Kilsch Sukova over the Williams Sisters. Both teams were pure serve/volley players and that style definitely is suited for doubles
