    • How can wood be ugly? :D It just is. I know what youre saying, some pieces of wood are just closer to a finished project than others, or more obvious in its direction for a project. But I guess that too comes down to the beholder.

The air bubbles are an amazing idea! Well done!

  • Very nice! Love light effect! I would prefer bubbles eliminated from epoxy - seal wood surface with brushed on epoxy first and let harden and stirring liquid against wood surface and use torch to eliminate bubbles. Power cord directed through channel in base rather than hole in side might give cleaner look. Could also add fish suspended in middle of epoxy by letting partial pour harden enough to support fish and then adding more epoxy. May need to change mold orientation to pour from top

    • Bandsaw is the answer to the question I had. I was thinking table saw is not the way to go, but hadn't landed on the solution till your comment. I thought I knew how to operate a table saw, until I got one and really started using it. I had a heebie jeebie moment that did not result in injury, but I learned to recognize and evaluate near misses. To anyone that does not understand kickback: LOOK IT UP!!! Your hand can be pulled very quickly into the blade, or a piece can come flying back at you.
