  • I met Mat with my wife and kids at Gravity show 2022. He was very kind and friendly. And Hanna gave my little boy a free airfreshener with Kevin's face on it. One of the things that he said to me that stood out was something on the lines of, he enjoys these shows and meeting people as most of his life is spent in the garage fixing the cars. He's worked so hard and deserves his success. Good luck Mat.

  • You can see how genuine Mat is and how he’s far more comfortable talking to camera than in person. He obviously has a very wise head on his shoulders and learns fast when it comes to his business model. The biggest thing about Mat over and above anything else is he’s so likeable and has remained true to himself. The Mat we saw rebuilding the TT is still the same Mat we see today (yes the builds have got bigger and the video quality better) but as a person he is no different. Great interview👍🇬🇧

  • Great story how mat evolved. One aspect that he doesn’t consider is, his personality is part of his appeal. He comes across as genuinely excited and passionate about what he’s doing, if he had a bland personality, I doubt his channel would have become as successful.

  • Matt is a totally genuine and humble guy, that really shines through in his content. The rebuilds are very aspirational, rebuilding super cars form scrap that normally regular folk could otherwise never afford. Matt is out there doing what every weekend Garage warriors dream is to do. I love the relationships he has with his Dad, Girlfriend and his mates. They are all in it with him and they are focused on the one goal. Good luck Matt in all you do.👍

  • This was a fantastic interview, I love success stories like this, grass roots to high highs… I knew Matts life was going to spiral upwards since his first TT video. He has such a positive outlook on life, and it’s going on like a family business now, seeing his dad and girlfriend all the time is refreshing. Nothing seems too much for him and I know he mentions he does some “sketchy things” but he learns as he goes and never puts anything or anybody down. Again, brilliant interview, thanks very much

  • Im 50 Young and recently discovered your channel (2-3 weeks ago and allmost finished playlists on main chan now 😂) After first video i was basically hooked. The mix of your positive and "lets try it" personality paired with your dads coolness and giggles + choice of seemingly crazy broken cars (the structural carbon i thought would be a spare part in the end tbf) makes it entertaining (and the sound of a Porsch ,Lambo,Ferrari engine first start helps) Add no real car mechanic background makes it addictive to look at. Sometimes wanna just jump in and say, why not make a groove for the o-ring instead if risking another engine teardown, but....its history now 😊 and you made it work, im still worried about that lambo o ring that leaked 3 times. I believe they milled the head = milled the o-ring grooves away and forgot to re-add them. Waiting for last episodes on a few builds....patiently 😇

  • The two the guys that deserve all of this are Matt and Joe Achilles. Genuine journeys, hard work ethic, dope content (helping idiots like me understand more) and risk tolerance. Always take risk. Comfortable makes us weak. It’s gruelling at times, yet working out what you need to do to stay in the game and executing that strategy is the difference between success and failure. Stay relevant, and deliver, consistently. Much, much harder than people believe.

This vid was bang on the money (bar the iffy sound at one point!), and I'd not realised how much I'm intersted in this side of KZhead. The interview was well researched, well conducted with intelligent Qs asked, and Matt was obviously a great interviewee with very revealing honesty and his good nature. Trouble is, I'm sat here now trying to figure out what i need to do to get off the rat race conveyerbelt! Think one of my problems is I have too many varied interests and most successful people seem to be more focussed in a single direction. I haven't given up on this dream but not going to give up the day job just yet!

  • I used to work with mat when i was younger. I remember seeing the TT and him telling me that he bought it from the insurance. He is a real sound guy

  • Matts point of difference other than his advanced skill level is his down to earth personality, he always appeals on an equal level.

  • Great universe, and I am one of Matt’s followers been for the last year or so, and I’m no car geek, but I absolutely love his videos. I’m very amazed at the stuff he turns out regardless and truly hope he goes onto bigger and bigger things and can’t wait to see him do the Bugatti one day.
