One of the most iconic for sure, together with Paris Roubaix.

AGR 2019, RVV 2020 and now this Strade Bianchi 2021, all historic races. When he wins big races he does it in an extraordinary way. Can't wait for MVDP first Paris Roubaix win!

@@eerhartb3996 MVD move was expected. Incredible and monstrous move but expected. Bernal finishing 3rd was totally unexpected, so under this premise, Bernal is impressive.

Like MvdP have nightmares last year at Strade and MSR.
@@mathieuvanderpoel4007 in Strade 2020 he Got a flat Tire at bad timing , after that he was exhausted. And MSR is not that big of a nightmare for him , Jasper stuyven won , not Wva or Julian alaphillipe. Even if they win it is great sportmanship

In dutch, a topper in the sport is called "classy". Purely because he or she is the top of the top. I really believe that Mathieu van der poel should be given a name that is even better than a class one. Mathieu van der poel = mama mia.. So good. And remember my words people. .. The 2021 worldchampionship i think Mathieu van der poel gonna be the nr 1 favoriete for the title. If he have 100% the legs who will stop him? Julian alaphilipe? Wout van Aert? They are in my opinion the only 2 in this moment who can make it difficult for Mathieu. They are the 3 best in this moment. Its a fact. Greetings from Holland..

Time in classics races is not a realible measure,It depends from the peloton's pace most of the time.

I believe egan knows he is not ready yet ,still in tapping mode.His target is just to join 1st group. And u can see the best of out of him in next race or 2

He does not need to be. The team he's in is completely build around him. This team also allows him to ride multiple disciplines, like MTB and cyclocross. If they want they can enter any GT, because they became first in the UCI Pro standings last year. Another question is, does MVDP need teammates at all to win races?
@@lucasswerts4526 Probably Alpecin will join WT in the next licence revision. As you said, they're on startlist for all three grand-tours, all important one-week races and classics Yes, he needs teammates. When he was winning classics 2 years ago, he gained much attention and many teams started to think how to stop MVDP tactically. It is actually more difficult for him to win classics on his own because more teams know what to expect from him. It is even harder because MVDP is going to ride classics more frequently and the fatigue can appear on April. So, it was necessary to hire more world-class domestiques. Modolo, Meurisse, Dillier, Vermeesch, Rickaert, De Bondt, Vakoc and many more make this team completely different and more WT level as Corendon looked two years ago. I don't agree that Alpecin is built completely around MVDP. Philipsen and Merlier will have many sprint opportunities, probably each of them will try Tour and Giro flat stages. Some riders will try their luck in breaks, in WT races where MVDP won't appear (he can't ride everything). Dutchman is the team main superstar but better riders will come year-by-year because Alpecin will be able to offer them something.
If you streamed the race this year on Eurosport player only, you were playing dirty, Eurosport team! I was hoping to see it on Eurosport 1 or 2 as well!

Not very good highlights, very sparodic and difficult to follow, made worse by the idiot commentator trying oh so hard to pronounce every riders name in some weird foreign accent. Sometimes I had no idea what he was saying. Watch coverage elsewhere e.g. it - much better and less agonising pronunciation.
