  • Not all of these showed "idiots". There were a couple in there that showed ingenuity in the face of adversity. And that last clip of taking down the stack was incredible. I've never seen a remote control crane before. That was impressive, and showed a very safe way of bringing that structure down without the need for explosives, where explosives would have been impossible to use.

All I see here is one Knucklehead after another. Just because you get away with something without getting you or someone else killed doesn't mean you have "skill or ingenuity". It means you had dumb luck. Even some of the successful recoveries were done in a reckless fashion that caused further damage to the equipment.

  • The one at the end with two cranes and some machine on 3 girders which is taking down a large chimney stack operated by 3 men reminds me of a an old series on UK TV about a bloke named Fred Dibnah. He was an interesting bloke with an interest in old steam engines but earned his money by being a steeplejack. He used to bring down chimneys just like that all on his own with a few hand tools when he could not use controlled explosions to do so.
