This medal is a mid-level United States military decoration which is presented for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service. Five of these vessels could reduce the planet Earth into radioactive ash, but no one would be left to award them anything or be around to tie up these boats to port rubble or even to wave or greet them.
One country stooped to use nukes, absolute inhumane acts and they call themselves the number one despite the truth. look at history of slave trades making them richer, and abuse of colonies resources and people but cant provide health services to the most pf their own people without ripping them off.

The reason is the UK submarine nuclear deterrent missiles UGM-73 Poseidon, Trident i and ii are USA missiles and the agreement is UK needs USA approval before such missiles can be launched so basically you’re not on you’re own. So literally your submarines are US submarines.

Part of the reason is that contrary to what Wikipedia says, the Columbia is already under construction, so its given the benefit of the doubt. Theres also a couple Ohio Class that were never built to consider as part of this, because they are to be "modified" from the actual Ohio design and are called Ohio SSBN-X like the Columbia.

They are very lethal, but the huge missiles in silos are more deadly and we also have the heavy bombers with nukes, two thirds of the nuclear triad.
the idea of nuclear subs launching missiles that hit land targets is just fantasy fear porn . every missile ever launched against a land target has had to come from above water , ie : on land , aircraft , aircraft carriers , and battle ships . the reason is that it is very very difficult and dangerous to the sub crew to try to launch a sea to land missile because all of the advanced technological knowledge needed to get even one successful strike . these type missiles can easily blow up while still in the water or go the wrong way and hit the sub or near the sub and there are numerous things that can go wrong when launching from a underwater sub that would not go wrong if launched from above water .
