If it doesn't have an onboard swimming pool, I'm not interested.

It does!!! but have some Radiation in it
@@JustAvoidNothinghere "some" 😂
Open up a hatch underwater, now you'll get a swimming pool
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I was thinking that instantely. Live chickens or goats were on the typhoons sometimes. I'm only 99 on that.
Boreas is the Greek god of the cold north wind, storms, and winter. IDK why, but I just love this name and can't remember anything cooler.
borealis the freezing fog from Elden ring
Really sends a chill down your spine, doesn't it?
Borei is the name that the ancient Eskimos, gave to the oceanic animals, nowadays commonly called as: seals.
Ha...
Retired as it maybe but Ill still love the typhoon class. That baby thicc!
Only recently retired I believe. They were using the last one as a missile launch test bed.
Do you remember the goldfish project the sub made from titanium with 45 knots speed then the torpedoes had only 40 knots speed
The typhoon was indeed impressive, from having side by side separate pressure hulls to having an actual swimming pool and sauna.
Well it's thick because it's two submarines in one -trenchcoat- I mean outer hull.
Its not exactly retired, they use it as a test bed for new stuff since it can hold practically anything they could make
I thought this was about the Belgorod submarine

Were was that thing last seen
Let me give a few addtional history. The Borei's, which are the product of Project "Zapad" a Soviet era submarine building program, were originallt slated to be armed with 12 R-39UTTH SLBMs. Now R-39UTTH is an improved version of the R-39 SLBM, the major difference between the two missiles is that the R-39UTTH SLBM has a greater throw weight which is 3.05 tons compared to the R-39 which is 2.55 tons, plus with newer, compact and light weight nuclear warheads which were adapted from the R-29 SLBM the R-39UTTH can carry 10 or more low yield nuclear warheads. Another difference is the accuracy, NPO Avtomatika developed the guidance system of the two missiles, the R-39 was reported to have a CEP of 500 meters, while the R-39UTTH was reported to have a CEP of 120 meters. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Russians decided to move the development of the R-39UTTH was moved to Russia, the development of the first stage of missile was transfered from Yuzhmash (Ukraine) to NPO Iskra and NPO Altai, so was the second stage. The third stage was already being developed by NPO Iskra during Soviet times, the MIRV bus segment was already being developed by Kbkhm which is Russian. All three stages of the R-39UTTH were produced in the PZKHO plant in Perm in fact specialize production equipment from Pavlograd (Ukraine) were transfered to the PZKHO plant to produce the 1st stage of the missile. The first test of the R-39UTTH in Russia was on November 1993, but it was declared a failure, there was a total of 4 tests all were unsuccessful, Makeyev attributed the failure of the lack of funding in the localization of production of the 1st stage of the missile, plus the Ministry of Defence was complaining of the cost of the production of the engines. Makeyev still defended the R-39UTTH as the missile program was 70 percent complete and that they needed additional funding, the problem is that during the 90s the defense budget was so small that design bureaus were fighting over the small defense budget that available at that time.
Just the presence of sauna already makes the new Borei upgrade vastly superior.
but the typhoon has also a pool
@@krisstopher8259 I meant in relation to the original Borei. Just having a sauna in comparison to no sauna is a worthwhile upgrade by itself.

Found and explained, a show about a sub that is difficult to find and not easily understood, you sir are a steely eyes missile man!
Even if the Kursk had had an escape pod like that shown on the Borei-class boats, the sad reality is that most--if not all--of the Kursk's crew would have still died on board. I'm not sure if those who survived the initial explosion (and gathered in the stern sections) could have made it to the pod.

Please do one on the Yansen M class SSBN too. I have seen reports saying its really really good........
It is Like a virginia but more boom boom
@@cideltacommand7169You mean an Ohio? The Virginias are SSNs and are exclusively Attack Submarines. Designed to take on ships and other subs. SSBNs are designed for first strike capabilities. And the ship probably will be. The Ohios are old. The Columbias will replace them, and while they carry two less tubes, each missile will have more warheads than the Ohios did. It's expected the Columbias will carry 2/3rds of the US Nuclear Arsenal once all are in service.
I would love video about Akula class subs

29 secs ago is crazy
It is somewhat ironic that these weapon systems are designed in the hope that they will never be used. If the enemy is uncertain they can neutralize that threat, they will likely never start a war. It is better for everyone if both sides have missiles boats that are nearly, or even actually, impossible to track.

@@vladimirlenin8236 sure, but the VA-111 is light year away from what the Poseidon torpedo is supposed to be, i.e. James Bond's villain class threat, understand that it doesn't exist or at least doesn't have the capabilities the russians are boasting... like they're doing with all of their weapons who in reality fall far from their claims. We just have to look at Ukraine to see how "well" russian equipment works with S-400 being destroyed by 30 year old tech missile they're supposed to intercept with ease, the same S-400 that can't detect SCALP EG missiles even when those missiles are literally flying over the SAM and only detected by its crew! The Su-35 falling from the sky despite its legendary best electronic warfare capabilities, Ka-52 and Mi-28N flying tanks who performs as good as the turret flying tanks on the ground despite the supah dupah President S defense system who was describe as the most advanced system in the world, immunizing the choppers against any MANPADS or SAM system... until 2022 when apparently warranty expired and it ceased to work leading to half of the Ka-52 fleet loss in less than a year. Should I talk about their so powerful navy with the great Slava cruiser Moskva, one of the most deadly ship in the world? Deadly she was, for her crew. So when I hear stuff like "the most silent and advanced submarine in the world" I will take that not with a grain of salt but with the entire box.
