    • @@evalaviniabucur1789While I agree you can have an idea about how you may feel if something that’s never happened to you happened, and I agree that you say you wouldn’t care, that doesn’t make it right. This is so clearly about worship of the self. A 7 year old (as this man stated his age when he started hiding this fantasy) doesn’t know a whole lot about how the world works. You wouldn’t let a 7 year old make huge decisions in their life. If a 7 year old hid from his or her parents anything for an extended period of time, like this man did, they may think what their doing is ok because it’s being hidden and not addressed. In regards to grown adults making decisions to become “transgender”, again, it’s worship of the self. With all tragedy, people sometimes don’t know how they feel so they find an escape whether it be drugs, music, being around people, or “transitioning”. The thing about escapism is that the problem will always be lingering until you address it. Why do you think the suicide rates for people who transition are so high? It’s because they’re avoiding a problem which leads them to believe that death would be easier than confronting the dragon. In a sense it is. But the reward after is so much greater than they can imagine.

Parents should accept what their child is and love them unconditionally, but the parents should also want their children to get help. Same with being transgender. People who are trans are much more likely to self harm and abuse substances to cope with their gender dysphoria. They should get the help they need to cope with it in a healthy manner.

Empathy and compassion is not a 1-way street. Some people say parents should support and accept their kids; I'm here to say it goes both ways. • Try and understand what this must be like from the father’s perspective. You can preach all you want that he should be accepting of his child regardless, however he must’ve felt a sense of pride when he held his “son” as a baby. He probably had dreams of his “son” becoming a man, getting married etc. As a result of this change, that’s an entire reality he will no longer get to experience. That’s gotta hurt man. He’s not necessarily transphobic per say, he just feels he has failed as a father.

  • There is a proverb in the Bible:Body, hair, and skin are influenced by parents. If you want to be transsexual, first consider whether it is a psychological problem. Whether it can be changed through psychotherapy, I think normal people should not have the idea of transsexuality. If they really can't get rid of it, they should at least discuss it with their families. Otherwise, isn't it a little selfish? Some people say that people have lived as long as they want, but your family has lived as long as they want. You have no regrets about your parents raising you so much. Have you ever thought that your father may regret it all his life? If you think everything doesn't matter, then strangers wish you happiness.
