  • Italian here. We also use Mikasa (mostly MVA200) and Molten in our men division competitions. I have always been great fan of the MVA200 for the clean touch. However, that was until some days ago, during a match in which the ball slipped from my fingers as I was setting! So now that I understand how relevant it is to have a strong grip on the ball, I'm looking to try or buy the M5V5000, which sure is developed to be the ball with the best grip.

    @Liquicatslowedmusic@Liquicatslowedmusic5 жыл бұрын
  • I compared the MVA200 and the flistatec and I must say flistatec has become my favorite not only for serving but for spiking and setting as well but the only thing I kind of dislike about the ball is how heavy is feels when receiving compared to like the MIP300

  • Ive started playing volleyball about 3 years ago, and played with different brands. My personal favorite is the molten ball, second would be the tachikara balls. I love the grip on the molten ball and for the angle hits and line hits you can really feel the contact with the ball. The tachikara balls is great too but it gets really sweaty real quick lol

  • In my team we mostly have mva200s which are starting to get replaced by v200ws those are the balls that we play official matches with. But we also have moltens at practicing which are great especially for serving they are soft and have a nice feel but i honestly prefer the mikasas and the older mva200 by a slight margin to be specific it's just so classic and it feels just like how a volleyball should feel. But they're all amazing balls i would be more than happy to play with either of these 3

    • Well everyone has its favorite one i guess but for me it feels like its never falling down to the ground once i hit the Mikasa. Whenever i serve this one it lands around 4 or 5 meters behind the field while this molten is going down around 1 or 2 meters before the rear line of the field. ^^

      @Hunde_Floh@Hunde_Floh6 жыл бұрын
    • The Mikasa ball really tends to float a lot more than the Molten one. I think this is due to the design of the Mikasa vs the Molten. The Mikasa is so smooth and only dotted with golf ball like divots that probably allow it to float a lot more, whereas the Molton ball is completely covered with a hexagonal net of grip with makes it so much easier to put a top spin on it.

    @arweenamischka5055@arweenamischka50556 жыл бұрын
    • Start by just watching for setter tendencies. Those she tend to set certain hitters when she gets bad passes, or does run the middle when she gets good passes. Those her body position give away where she is setting, because a lot of setters do certain thing when setting certain positions. I.E. Micah Christenson (the USA national team setter) tends to rotate his body to set the opposite hitter. Read blocking is not really about completely blocking a spike, it's more about getting at least a touch or smothering the hitters' hitting options. What changes a read block to a commit block (where you completely commit to blocking a certain hitter) is when you start anticipating the setters set, you only really start doing this after carefully watching the setter for multiple points and learning her body patterns. It usually takes me around half a set (20 or so points) or even a whole set for me to start really reading the setter well enough to start committing on certain hitters. Overall, you just have to start looking out for setter tendencies.

    • Sure buddy. This ball is officially approved by FIVB vball federation. And this ball is official game ball in countries like Japan, Italy, USA, etc. I actually prefer Molten over Mikasa

    • I know this comment is a year old but as a regular beach player here are various balls I've seen/played with often. Wilson AVP OPTX game ball (Very popular in most US domestic tourneys/has grip, easier to add top spin) Mikasa VLS300/BV550C game balls (not as popular in US, but very popular internationally in FIVB events. Not as grippy as OPTX/floats more) Mikasa King of The Beach official ball (Used in King Of The Court events, grippy texture - if you like the AVP OPTX but not the expensive price tag try this imo) Molten BV5000/V5B5000 (FIVB approved, decent grip/not super floaty. Least fav out of the bunch but still a solid ball imo good budget price
