Last year May 2022. I did a month fasting and I was drinking 9 bottles of water everyday and doing nothing but read Psalms over and over from morning until night time. I almost died but after the fasting, I was never the same again spiritually. I just broke a 7 day fast. I've been doing them more often after getting used to 3 day fasting. It's actually amazing how much your body does not need nearly as much food as we've been taught to consume. This is part of why we not living very long in my opinion. After my last 7 day fast I was actually tempted to do another 7 days. If you never went that long without eating it sounds crazy but you don't feel hungry more than you just get tempted to eat something just because.

The term for fasting eating the bad cells is autophagy. I've been intermittent fasting for several months now along with regular exercise, restricting sugar, and a healthier diet it's changed my body and my mind. It takes a while to get used to it. Work it up to doing 30 day fasts, and do a high fat carnivore diet. Cancer feeds on sugar, and glutamine (a protein) so you want to combine both of them and work up to fasting for 30 days at a time and use electrolytes and possibly b vitamins. I fasted for 10 days once. The first few days were hard. Kept having this fear I wouldn't be able to go without food. Then on day 5, the most incredible peace and calm for the next week. I'm doing my first 21 day water fast. Half way through, and my body is going through a lot of healing. That journaling and praying piece though is definitely essential. Someone said a fast without prayer is just a diet. I'm trying to go deeper than that. Just praying I last these last 9 days.

@@Ashley-og9ti Thank you. I actually made it through. Definitely worth it for a lot of reasons. The hardest part was “refeeding.” My stomach felt terrible after. It took about 4 or 5 days to get back normal. I would do it again.

@@Ashley-og9ti Well, not to be graphic, but it was constipation. When your digestive system goes that long without food and the activity decreases, it takes time to get regular again. I came off the fast doing smoothies and fruits/veggies, and it was just an interesting process. But I do agree that a change in lifestyle is definitely warranted. Yes, there were spiritual benefits. Definitely learned some things about myself. One thing in particular is learning about the anger I have been harboring. It set me on a journey to not only deal with the root, but learn better ways to control my impulses, not be so quick to react. I have seen a change in how I respond to ppl. There has been others, but that was one of the biggest t issues. You will get it. Make sure it is what He wants you to do. When He calls you to fast, you will be able to do it. What kept coming to mind is "Is this not the fast that I have chosen for you." A little out of context, I know, but during this time, I took it mean that there are fast that the Lord will lay on our hearts in certain seasons. When He does, He will provide you the strength to sustain it.

Girl for years my coworkers have taken jabs at me about not eating lunch at work, and not eating like a full grown man at office parties and events. They literally snack all day, and then order out sometimes 5x a week! Then look at me sideways because I have the nerve to have a waistline. The slower you go, the further you go. I started fasting 24 hours (1 day) in January. Every month I add one more day. Last month, August, i fasted 8 days...in December it will be 12 days...Not sure wherever to do 13 days next January, or start over again. Eventually i will do 40 plus days, but once ive figured it out properly, and probably with guidance.

The fasting is legit I’m doing intermediate fasting I went from 286 to like 254. I’m down to like 228 now.

@@shamarlewis6918 I eat at a calorie deficit and drink lots of water and then stop eating at 4:00pm I don’t eat anything until after 8:00am the next day. I only drink water during the time that I’m fasting sometimes like 2 to 3 cups then that’s it. Then I repeat this and the weight has been falling off ever since. So basically between 8:00am and 4:00pm I eat at a calorie deficit and then I fast and repeat.
Same. I’ve been fasting for a little over 90 days and I went from 265 to this morning I’m at 214. I wish I would’ve been working out and eating better in between but the truth is I haven’t been at all. This is the most control I’ve ever had over my body as far as “diet” wise in my whole life. The weight just falls off & you truly feel better as well as your health really improves. I would watch a lot of videos about intermittent fasting as well as insulin resistance/ metabolic syndrome. I feel like after you get into an understanding of those things it kinda made it easier for me to keep moving forward, not out of vanity but overall health in general.
