Thank you, for these videos! I am a new employee at a gas station, who uses the Topez regerister... I want to take some time, to train better at home ( its a very busy store, and im being trained by other employees, not manager ) I want to learn as much as possible, to be a better employee :). I really appreciate the time, that you have taken to make these vids. *** Can you make more? For the regerister ( ill look, to see what others youve made ) . ALSO, IF YOUR AT A AM/PM. , would you be willing to do other educational videos? Like food prep. , baking ( doughnuts/ pastries etc. ) , or other " pm" foods. Anything else also . you are the only one, that I have found to spend your time like this :). I really feel lime a burdon to my co-workers . I have completed my second shift, and we get so busy ... I find, that my co-workers often just do the work for me VS. Actually teaching me :(. It would be great, if I showed up soon & knew all that I needed to haha. Im a mother of 7, and dont get much time to shadow anyone, durring my " non-work hours" , which is a ootion to learn more. * Have a great day!

And keep the bill they hand you OUT of the drawer so you can prove to the customer what they handed you. Sometimes they claim they gave you a different bill. Also put the damn coins in their hand not on top of the paper where they slide off. In other words DON'T GIVE THE CUSTOMER A SINGLE PILE WITH THE RECEIPT AND PAPER MONEY WITH THE COINS ON TOP !!!!!! STUPID!!!!! Hand everything separately. PROFESSIONAL.

I always keep the bill on top until the change has been given to the customer. If not then you have to count the till to see if your till is over or short. Another thing I do is when they hand me the bill I say "out of $__. For example if they have a purchase of $17.50 and they hand me a $20.00 bill then I would say "Out of $20.00" then count the change out to myself then count it back to the customer. I would say " Your change is $2.50" and count it back to them 1,2 and 50 cents

@Matt Sayers. Too bad there is so few like you that know what they are doing. I almost lost a hundred dollar bill to a girl that put all my hundreds in the drawer with the rest of the hundreds. I was going to recount them a second time but she reached across and grabbed them when I was distracted by another worker who was to take my item to my pickup. Eveidently she was too stupid to check how many hundreds she grabbed. I told her never ever do that again!!!! I had to wait for her to balance the til and luckily it was $100 long. Just three weeks later another girl, in that same place, stuck my money in the drawer immediately instead of keeping it out until the transaction was done. That time I really gave her manager hell for incompetance when he didn't even try to give his workers proper instructions. Have a good one. 😊

about the coin, should give them sideway then? so the coin will fall to their hands, because putting them bellow the paper money most of them won't expect to catch it and keep dropping it

No, not "sideway". Hand them the coins, separately, first. They will obviously know they have coins in their hand and they can put them away easily, without handing them additional paper money and a receipt. Men usually hold their billfold with one hand and only have one hand left to handle coins, bills and receipt. Don't overload them.🙂

Thank you agin for your feed back. One thing i learned from dealing with costumes is that you will meet a very nice people who will appreciate you and maybe be your long term friend. On the other hand if any costumer wont respect you DONT take it personal! GOOD LUCK:))

they mostly taught this for the boomers back in their old days, nowadays this wasn’t taught since the cash register is meant to give you the total and calculators exist

No, not "sideway". Hand them the coins, separately, first.
