Wish I was still half as skilled in these games as I was in my 13's._ Granted, yeah, getting THE best Ending on a *very first playthrough* is fantasizying too much. At the most, I'd give it to a second playthrough, if the kid perfectly memorized the entire game *afterwards.*
and it started out as a joke. Seriously. The game book for Metroid called Samus "he" throughout it. and as a joke at the end they made Samus a Woman. but she was the very first video game heroin so they decided to make it official.

@@jacketofdiamonds nope. its the god honest truth. Sakamoto-san, the creator of Metroid confirmed it in an interview. IDK if it was Sakamoto-san's idea for the joke but after the positive response he went with it, and Samus developed into the planet destroying, Boba Fett killing (TY Death Battle.) Bad ass we all know and love today.
There not being any alternative "See you next mission!" screens for various completion time/item% in Dread is baffling.

No matter what game it is, no matter what Nintendo console she's on, Samus Aran will always be probably the most beautiful bounty hunter ever...but that's just my opinion

Yes that tends to be the case for every game ever
Prime Hunters is one of the few times your actions have genuine impact on the ending. Reason being, if you only beat the first phase, Samus and everyone else present is confirmed dead. It's only by fulfilling the prophesy that anyone survives. Most endings are just additional footage or less clothing.
Did you know that when Samus gender was still a secret so the licenced manga went ahead and depicted Samus Aran as a cool male hero surrounded by woman.

People can say what they want about Other M being a bad game, but God damn it, that true ending... Water works every time. I stand by my saying that that is the most emotionally powerful true ending to a Metroid game that I've ever seen.
Hits hard when you played fusion too. I still believe that other m was a write idea wrong execution, there's nothing wrong with giving more life to characters outside of shoot n scoot
i loved other m, was a lot of fun to complete.
Imagine a remake of other M with updated gameplay and with a reworked story to make it take place before Zero Mission (explaining her fear of Ridley) whilst keeping the same aesthetic as the og wii release
For me, it's the opposite. The fact that Fusion and Dread made me feel more for what's essentially supposed to be a cold computer voice with a personality compared to an actual human in Other M is the emotional part for me. Other M did a HORRIBLE take on Adam especially in regards to show some kind of fatherly/daughter bond between Adam and Smaus. I feel like his death in Other M was simply the writers suddenly remembering that Adam is already dead in Fusion. But that's just my personal take.
Oh right. I forgot Samus was orphaned because Ridley killed her parents.

I believe it's assumed these missions are canonically finished within a reasonable amount of time

That's actually cool how some of the games were not just based on whether or not everything was found, but as well as clear time
I always loved Samus with her hair loose and her more "casual" attire from the Fusion endings. Sometimes in SWTOR, I leave my female Smuggler without pants and a top because the _"underwear"_ looks a lot like what Samus wears in those endings. _(and I find it_ hilarious _how my char's butt is _*_less assentuated_*_ then when I put some of the game's pants on)_ XP

It's funny how for the prime trilogy, the ending cuscene that doesn't require 75% or 100% is clearly always the best one anyway.

Man, I love Metroid. Love it so much, I'm gonna make my fan story of it.
After watching this, I realized that if I ever heard Samus was on my planet... It's time to leave that planet. It will not be there when she leaves.
I've never been a Metroid fan so I never saw the "save the animals" thing, but did we really save them? It looks like we set them free, but the planet still blew up.
Watch the ending closely, when samus ship is flying to the screen, you can see a little dot fly away from the explosion. It is confirmed that it is the animal's escape pod, but it doesn't appear unless you go down to save them during the escape.

How did you get that alternative suit in Prime 1?
It's the Fusion suit which can be unlocked after finishing the game. In the original game, you have to link a copy of Metroid Fusion with a GBA-NGC link cable, and on the trilogy version you can purchase it with achievements credits.

I also thought they said she was disfigured at the start of fusion because of the X...I always pictured her with scars and messed up skin after that and that's why dread never showed her out of the suit...maybe metroid DNA changed some of her body too. But no she probably still looks like some skinny anime char.

If you look at the right of the screen after the explosion you can see a hint. Also they appear again in fusion and this time they save you instead.

It was stated back in metroid Fusion from 'Adam' that the X absorbing creatures of higher intelligence was sort of a new thing for these creatures. I believe (my theory) given enough time the X that gain the forms of these higher intelligent beings will gain more than just their host's skills, intelligence, but also eventually mimic how they behave too. Similar how SA-X at the ending of Metroid Fusion saved Samus from the Omega Metroid.
I hated it about "Prime 3," that the other three bounty hunters became bosses who died after their battles. Obviously, Samus must have felt the same way, the way she thinks of them in the ending.
Whoever says they play Metroid for the plot is lying.

Not really? It happens between ZM and SR. Fusion suit is an additional difficulty mode.
@@lemonov3031 The Fusion suit doesn't exist until Samus gets infected by X in Metroid Fusion. If Samus can choose to wear it in Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion must have already happened by then.
@@frantisekvrana3902 You can also unlock Fusion Suit in Samus Returns. Which is a remake of 2. Does that mean that 2 happen after Fusion? Not really. It's a non-canon unlock. You can only get it on repeat playthroughs as an additional challenge. In Prime, you unlock it by connecting Fusion to your GameCube. In the Wii version, it's an achievement unlock. And I don't know if it's available in the Remaster at all. It's an unlock. It's not canon. Don't think about it, it's not a part of natural progression.
@@lemonov3031 I can't not think about plot holes. But seeing as Fusion can not happen before Return of Samus/Samus Returns, I can ascribe that to a temporal anomaly. And the same thing is then available for Prime.

Like how you can replay the game as Vergil in DMC despite Vergil being logically impossible to appear in the same scenarios as Dante did along the story. Supposedly that was kind of the idea for the N64. But time happened and it pivoted into what we know as Metroid Prime.

Super metroid is still special to this day. The music and all of that made it feel that you finally defeated a big obstacle. Fusion and Zero mission are similar in a sense and both are good. Metroid prime one despite being possible the best metroid game on pair with super metroid is ironically pretty average. Mp 2 and 3 are good. Other M is a pretty bad game but it has the sexiest samus model ever. Samus returns is pretty good as well. Dread is just another metroid fusion.
