🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

    • What's your opinion of the country so far ? How does it compare to other Asian countries that you have visited ?

      @3l3llala13@3l3llala134 ай бұрын
    • @3l3llala13 reminds me very much of the Philippines, although architecture and infrastructure more developed in Vietnam, you can see the government investing in roads. I am liking Hanoi the best as it is close to Ninh Binh and Mai Chau, feels like Saigon but prettier and more historical. I'm going to rewatch the videos on those towns when I get home. Very easy to get around any city, domestic and international tourism is a big thing. We did get ripped off a few times, but as my mum says ""they're not getting rich off us" so I guess we're supporting the local economy. I could see myself living here as an expat

  • I’m watching this in the depths of winter in the Borders of Scotland preparing to go home to NZ and the sunshine. I’m in..awe? Amazement? At the food at the state fairs. I love watching Sonny and his adventures, his cultural journeys are fantastic. He is always kind and respectful of everyone he meets all over the world. He treated the state fair food like tribal fare in a far flung jungle. Which, for me, it is. I have never seen food like this, ever. No wonder the people in USA are in trouble, that “food” is poisoning them. They KNOW it’s bad, but they queue to pay & eat it. I don’t understand. I just don’t get it. I was actually beginning to feel slightly nauseous by the big deep fried sandwich.😅 Thank you Sonny, not many shows provoke an actual physical reaction! Over the top, decadent, heart attack food that throws caution to the wind…. You delivered.

  • American food showcase idea! The Jacktown fair, oldest consecutively running fair in the USA. Its a tiny fair with a lot of history and AMAZING FOOD. Its only a week long in late July/early August (i dont recall exactly) in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Edit: as a teen id been there 24/7 for 4H and there was a lemonade stand who sold THE BEST breakfast sandwiches and iced coffee but only before noon and the fair opened at 5 or 6. Come for the food, stay for the destruction derby and tractor pulls! If this fair isnt enough content, the Waynesburg fair is usually within the same few weeks as Jacktown and is bigger with similar food and a destruction derby and tractor pull 😂😂

  • You're an infinite angel. You have brought me more joy to life, Even purposeful matters. I don't mean it in a sarcastic way. I really enjoy your time and all the literature sequals you've continued with me. If it weren't for me and my boringness. I would've never opened my KZhead app to watch a video. Find out, the video was a Festival Fair Food Porno. This video held so much beautifications on food and it's diversity. Me, being a student of culinary and it's arts. I had the initiative to make use of my kitchen and satisfy my own visions of a wild combination. Just like a state's fair, my food combo was unlike any you would see in a franchisee in your town hall. I had fun brainstorming the process of it all and mastering the creation, I don't know how to thank you. With all due respect and love, my heart to the bottom, loves you Sincerely, Rose Lynda

Also at 1:24:53, he talks about quantity, how many items you can buy but how is the Quality? It's not all about price but also about Quality I think. At 1:26:19, he asked if it is a Taco or Quesidilla. I think its a Quesadilla because its soft and mostly filled with Cheese.

  • As someone who is a regular attendant of the Washington state fair, I have a few things to say… That PB&J hotdog is absolutely delicious, but I think she could elevate the dish even further by creating some sort of Bacon Jam sauce, and then maybe some type of Peanut Butter Crema sauce , so that the dish isn’t just regular PB&J from a jar, but instead can truly be a sweet and savory masterpiece that is also creative and less of a gag item and actually shows an attempt to make something good not just over the top… Also, the crawfish Mac n cheese is one of the best Mac n chz I’ve ever had, it is 10/10 … I also find it hilarious how Sonny pronounces Chamoy, and btw, tostilocos isn’t fair food, you can usually find it at most hole in the wall Mexican delis, or even at random youth soccer games at that random Mexican lady’s food stand , but they serve it directly in the bag of chips … you should try hot cheetolocos, they are bomb … Lastly, as a long time fan of your show Sonny, how tf do you have no problem drinking goat blood , but you throw a fit over cucumbers?! 😭😭😭 i litterally cried laughing when you said that …. Anyways, im so glad to see you enjoyed your time here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest , please come back again and come over for some amazing authentic Filipino food ! Haha , we would be honored to host you for a awesome Filipino bbq .. lots of chicken, vinegary delights, booze and gambling lol 😂

  • The foods i would enjoy would be the pig & potato parfait though i would prefer gravy than bbq sauce, the mac and cheese topped with different ingredients, lobster, bacon, chicken. Also, I would enjoy the Picklewich. The Pizza Pasta sandwich and all the following lobster items but without the added butter pouring on. And the chicken burger.

  • People have been eating outrageous outdoor festival foods for thousands of years. The Romans had ice cream, ancient Egyptians had falafel with hummus and ancient Chinese had pork with noodles and spicy sauces.

  • I WISH we had fairs like this in the UK. Our BBQ sucks - also it seems like if you buy a deep fat fryer you can make most of these? Has anyone tried 🤔🤔
