In case you are wondering why certain appearances of troops were redesigned or removed, for example, wallbreaker, dragon rider, or pirate skins, while their profile picture remained as original, it has nothing to do with the CCP disapproving skulls or cleavage but rather is due to some karens in China having made complaint requests to the party to remove those images under the pretext that they are visually harmful to their kids.

I remember that's what happened to all the pirates skins. Some Karen complained about it on Weibo, saying it glorified bad people (pirates) for their kids. The post went viral, leaving the government no choice but to remove it. But I find it funny that they added the pirate king skin back on the ocean scenery as an eastern egg, just not as a playable skin for the king.

I definitely don't want any sort of gacha system in global CoC, but some of these features could be really cool. Like the cosmetic birds added to your scenery is a really cool idea that could add unique flair to your village.

The only useful change in the china version are the bigger builder potions. After a certain point 10 hours skipped is basically nothing
That and being able to buy hammers and anything else anytime without having to do clan war leagues

Kinda crazy to see some of the things supercell can do in clash of clans, but just doesn’t do them for the global version. I think more cosmetics would be awesome such as the banners and town hall skins.
Townhall skins is terrible idea , there is a reason why townhalls are so worked on their original design to make them easily recognisable , having a lot of different skins would be messy to identify a townhall level during attack , and also in the Chinese version it seemed they have same townhall appearance in skin for different townhall levels which is dumbest idea

Unreal Firstly, Wish we had a daily/weekly streak reward system. It’s actually kind of mind blowing we don’t. It incentivizes/reminds players to log on. Me personally even with my ups & downs with COC, I would have 100% been logging on more if we had the daily log in reward system. Def a huge mistake not having that globally Secondly, the cosmetic bases & player skins were honestly amazing. Wish they put more creativity in our version tbh. 7:31 the royal champion has differing skin colors in the main game as well. The Clan war token skin for example is way lighter than the default one.
I honestly want to see some of these in the global version. The Daily Log In Rewards should've been a thing without being inactive for months. I can see the Diamond Pass being implemented too. It would be nice to have another builder and maybe an extra research slot. The town hall cosmetic seems nice too. It can't really affect the gameplay, unlike map themes which can make attacks confusing at times. The only issue it can cause is guessing what level it is if there are no indicators and the base doesn't have any upgrade of the next th yet.

The cosmetics in the Chinese servers have always looked really nice honestly, even if they don’t feel like they fit the character, I would love it if the global version released those skins with some modification to make them look more like the hero they are supposed to be and just add those sceneries because they are really cool

Not the only one, though. Plants vs. Zombies 2 also went through massive changes. The Chinese version contains more features, a couple of balances and changes for the game, tons of different plants and zombies, and heck, even new worlds. The international ended with Modern Day as the final level, while the Chinese version cooked a lot in the kitchen. The simple answer is that the Chinese gaming community loved the game, and tons of support was given in China.
But many Chinese prefer the international version of pvz2 because it has better game balance and less kryptonite content than the Chinese version

Chinese freemium games generally will always have daily login rewards and give you a taste of items by letting you use em for 1day - 30days, some also have packs that are super cheap for a limited time, but will appear often which in the long run will cost a lot. So yeah, Chinese freemium games usually will try to milk the player base for as much money as they can
I spend alomost 11 years in Clash of Clans. But it was the second game of this type that I have played. The first one was Castle Clash. If you played it, nothing in this video would surprise you. (the rest of the commend kidna introduces the Castle Clash, if someone would be interested to learn more, becuse it's less popular than CoC) Actually there are skins for all the buildings, not only for town hall. Unfortunatly the only thing you need to focus on are the heroes. They attack, they protect, they do everything. In CoC, you need to use troops, spells and strategy to attack and the defences, walls, even specific layout to defend. In Castle Clash troops are useless, walls are useless, towers are useless, because all you need are heroes.
