  • You gotta respect Gorillaz when they’re a band that’s been for 20 years on the spotlight and still pulling bangers to this day. Not a lot of bands do that

  • I really like how the "fool's gold", something that could be perceived as a false promise, false hope or a delusional perception of what could bring happiness, coats not only stuff like xanax but coats the very members of the band aswell. It could be interpreted as callback to the "reject false icons" and that the very band members themselves are subjective to corruption and can mistakingly mislead fans down the wrong path. It's important to not worship symbols with too much zeal, cause you might not realise it was just "fool's gold" all along.

    • That's my favourite aspect of Gorillaz and why I get so annoyed at """""fans""""" who ceaseless bitch about "their new stuff" because it doesn't sound exactly like _Demon Days_ or _Gorillaz_ or _Plastic Beach._ Which is ironic, since the same kinds of people bitched about _Plastic Beach_ not sounding exactly like _Demon Days_ or _Gorillaz_ too.

  • My number one all time favourite band. Was literally blown away when they returned from non existence with Humanz and been keeping us so spoiled with the sheer amount of new music, that's simply shocking to an oldschool fan, used to listening to all their classic albums back to back with no hope of anything new ever again. Don't stop Damon! Godspeed!
