  • Mine was super easy to train, mostly because she came with me 24/7 for her first 2 years. Literally 24/7/365. To work, home, out and about, adventures. She was still a pup with a mischievous streak, ruined pretty much every pair of jeans I had (she'd sneak up and if she got 1 tooth into the Levis.. that was it. They were tearing before she let go up to about 6 months old when I started with a bite sleeve lmao) epic dog. ALOT of work. When people see "easy to train" it doesn't mean they train themselves. Have to put in endless hours daily. It's just easy in the aspect that they WANT to learn. My mal has never been crated and she's never on a leash. Doesn't matter what were doing. Public hikes, dogs all around. People. She won't even give them a second look

I know Belgies can be easy to train but you have a great easy style showing a great demo without anger or stress on the dog, a lot of people get frustrated and that leads nowhere except to a bad relationship and a scared or unpredictable dog. Excellent clip that applies to all animals you wish to train. This should be available to anyone homing animals, 👍

  • I don’t have my Mal yet, but have been trying to educate myself on the breed as much as possible before acquiring one. I had one years ago, but due to back to back surgeries that kept me off my feet for almost a full year, I had to give her up as she required EXTENSIVE work, and even working with a trainer wasn’t helping much I had gotten her from someone who took her EVERYWHERE, she was never alone, so she had separation anxiety off the charts. Anyway, I’m so glad MaligatorMom kept pushing your KZhead as a must watch page, because just watching this one video so far was incredibly informative. I can’t wait to watch more.

I just have to be patient and always have things for him to do to keep his mind engaged..and thats one thing i learned from your videos(among other things)"Sampson" is becoming my new BFF and now goes with me everywhere. My puppy was gifted to me @ four months old, has learned the sit command, lay down command, stay command @ short distance & she loves to play catch in the air with her ball, beautiful leaping capability. I am happy to have found your video training sessions, will need guidance in proceeding with my puppy's training sessions. The turns you use and through your leg's exercises seem like good exercises for us & she must learn to heel with me. I subscribed to your channel after watching how you handle this Malinois puppy. I took a huge chance adopting this guy, but I trusted the trainer completely and was told together we would be great. • I’m 63 years old and my parents had American and Canadian champions during the show circuit. I also have shown dogs and trained them. Great video. Well done 👍

  • Short sessions for training to keep it fun but what do you do in between? They're always learning, even in downtime. So do you crate, allow free time, etc? I'm genuinely curious what that looks like.

  • Hi Robert love your videos I love the fact that your straight no messing say it how it is some people need to hear that they may not like it but they need to be told I have a 14 month old belgian malinois both parents are dutch shepherd's he is from very serious working lines I have his brn number if you want to see the working lines he is from I've had him since 4 weeks old hardly done any training with him just basics but he just knows things with no training his protection for me is off the chart he won't let any stranger near me if someone with a hood up or someone just acting a bit strange he won't take his eyes off them if they move towards us he sits right between my legs growls and barks which tends to keep the bad elements away haha also his tracking and the way he searches is relentless like he's trained I was brought up around working dogs lurchers stag hounds and terriers and they was trained to follow a scent my boy kaos works the ground just like they did but no training its just natural and I've never had a day of problems with him I am out with him all day everyday and do between 10 and 20 miles a day and kaos could do more but as soon as I stop and we get back to the tent he switches off no hassle no fuss just sits with me for the night then waiting till the morning so we can do it all again he just knows when the day starts and when it ends I think he is pretty amazing I'm lucky to have him are all working line mals like him just do things naturally or have I really got lucky? His grandad is called mensa from Ian Morgan at lorockmoor working dogs here in the UK have you heard of them? Sorry fir the long comment hope you can find time to reply thanks for listening 🙏

  • Thankful for the video. I have some experience but don’t train everyday and videos like this help me regroup mentally.
