  • Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep showed that Borderlands can offer deep, heavy story whilst keeping that wacky, over the top, what the fuck, lol type theme. It's wild but I love it, the ending is so painful, her reaction to everything, Lilith., Brick and Mordecai's completely assholish reaction before realizing " shes a fucking kid, who has lost someone who was like a father and best friend to her " shows humanity and growth. The DLC could easily be top ten stories let alone dlcs ever made in my humble opinion.

Their character development is completely ignored in favor of over-playing their flaws that they had gotten over by the time of Episode 5. Its like the Borderlands writers hate how successful TFTB was that they feel the need to flanderize or just straight up kill off any of the TFTB crew so that their own characters look better by comparison

    • I personally only am kinda upset that that claptrap's revolution isn't higher on the list, as it just tied up the entirety of BL1 so so nicely. Especially the final boss was just such a cool little pleasent surprise as someone who was actually experiencing it blind for the first time. I think that Knoxx' story is overall much more interesting, but not as entertaining gameplay wise, mostly because of all the driving involved and the bland areas, the cores make it a bit more bearable luckily. I also thought that its ending was honestly kind of lackluster. Craptrap's revolution on the other hand is super duper fun to play through, even though it lacks the interesting story. It's just really fucking cool seeing characters from throughout your BL1 journey and its DLCs up to that point be brought back as mechanical hybrids. The very last mission ends right where it all started too, which I'm a sucker for. The final boss is fun and unexpected too, which is just great. It is just such a perfect ending which ties up all of BL1 so so nicely that I cant help but gush about it. Had Knoxx' not introduced the concept of raidbosses and pearls to the series, I'd have put claptraps revolution higher than it honestly.

Edit: you could totally skip Moxxi's underdome unless you are playing for the achievements or full game completion what ever your thing is. • Almost every Borderlands DLC invented something new, like the Pearlescent Pearlescent weapons and new vehicles in the Knoxx DLC and the "First Raid Boss" in this Franchise plus the armory! The Underdome is just a DLC to kill time (and probably your own sanity) Dr. Ned's Zombie DLC is worth a playthrough but the only new thing i can recall is the Jakobs Vending Machine... The INAC DLC has a nice gift shop and Blake himself! Borderlands 2 has some good ones like the Torgue DLC (At this point he needs no introduction because it's TORGUE) Scarlet has some of the best weapons in the entire game and Tinas Assault on Dragon Keep is just legendary! The Sanctuary DLC is just good for legendary farming! Borderlands 3 is like a mixed table for me personally but mainly because of how the original characters are handled! The Handsome Jackpot DLC was a nice throwback to the old loaderbot days and brought us some cool new and returning weapons like the Nukem, Heart Breaker, Cream, and the infamous ION CANNON! The Hammerlocks Wedding DLC has some really interesting stuff and mythology in it which i became a little fan over the years! Sadly no Raid Boss! The next one is good but not my favorite (except the guns, those are great) perhaps because of loading times but that depends on which platform you're playing on! It has some really cool moments like the Nuke going off and a more serious tone to it compared to the rest of the game, which makes this DLC the Outlier! The Krieg DLC is one and done but they could have done so much more to it! Ok this isn't technically a DLC but don't forget the Cartels Event which added some of the strongest gear in the entire game and has one of the most memorable soundtrack that was ever produced for this game! I know that the headhunter packs weren't included here but there are so many DLCs in this franchise that it would definitely break the scale here!

  • I think out of the small DLCs, Director's Cut really should be higher. Higher than goddamn Arms Race, that's for sure. The guns are less broken, but the story content is great and practically moves mountains to redeem Ava as a character - it shows what she could and should have been in the main story, and has some very interesting implications for the lore involving the Eridians. Why the heck is it below a battle royale knockoff? There's a bit more content, the environments are neat and diverse, the weapons are mechanically fun as heck, there's a proper Invincible... As side missions specifically go, it's got some of the best in the series. personally.

  • The biggest issue for me with Bounty of Blood is two things really. But kind of go together. 1. Juono sucks and I disliked her with a passion. 2. This should've been something where they experimented a bit more with the story. Let you choose sides. I can't stress this enough. Me and so many other people I've talked to agree that always being the good guy here is just plain obnoxious. Lots of people don't like the main cast of the game. So let us be the bad guy. Let us choose between siding with Rose (I think is her name? The bad chick) or doing the good side and siding with the town. I feel Gearbox should've tried this. Choices mattering. Maybe have it be the leadup to BL4 or whatever. Edit: I still want them to do a new Borderlands game. But have it set during BL2 time. But instead of following the events that we are used to. We instead get to go up against Sanctuary and side with Handsome Jack. I can see some of the VH's right now. I definitely see Angle as one of the VH's. Would be interesting to see her powers. Maybe something like flying? or a mix of Siren powers and technology. I also see another VH that could be all about poison/venom. Like a femme fatal type character. Great looking but is likely to kill you awfully. I'd just love being able to be the bad guy and kill off some of the more annoying characters of the series. Namely Lilith. And Lilith. Oh! And also Lilith.

What you needed was a glitch rarity jakobs sniper, and it had to have the loop glitch on it. with a little weapon swapping, you could transfer the loop effect semi permanently to all your other guns. What loop did was severely increase fire rate and give about a 50% chance to not consume ammo each shot. outside the glitch itself, loop also forced continuous fire until you reloaded again

  • I know I’m like, months late lol. I’m honestly glad with how you placed Guns Love and Tentacles in the top five. For some reason people didn’t like this one as much as the other bl3 dlc(but I actually think it’s a much smaller, more ‘specific’ demographic now that I’m writing this right now) I agree with your critiques of Hammerlock, I also don’t think he’s that remarkable of a character in general, but this dlc actually got me to like and care about him a lot more; he is now one of my favorite characters ever. I didn’t know he was such an adrenaline junkie that loved adventure and excitement until GL&T. It wasn’t clearly stated in bl2, only really hinted to in the big hunt dlc, where the vault hunters do most of the ‘on screen’ exploring. I think the fact they make this character trait a main focus on the conflict between him and his husband to be interesting. To boil the situation down to ‘marriage is stressful’, while partially accurate, doesn’t exactly describe the situation of why they’re stressed, which is the interesting part of their personal conflict. That said I don’t disagree with your placement of it simply because the other stories are obviously better objectively.
