For astro-photography, there is a special mode on the S24 hidden away in Expert Raw (I really wish they'd merge it with Pro mode!) You can choose from 4/7/10 minute exposures, and it overlays a cool constellation map - check it out.

@@AuthenTech you have to go to Expert Raw / Settings / Expert Raw Labs / Astrophoto to enable it, you then get a new option on the toolbar. It's really cool, I don't understand why they hid it and didn't promote it more.
While it is close, the S24U looks to be the clear winner in the important categories!

Hands down your best comparison video. Loved the fact you brought up the lens transition animations. I love pixels but those transitions and horrible video noise steer me away from wanting to record video with. Photos are the best of the best most of the time straight out of camera. Iphone is boring but the best camera system of the 3 for sure. Samsung is def getting there as well better than the pixel in video no question. Awesome video!

I love how similar yet still slightly different phones have become. Basically it just comes down to preference on OS even betwenn Raw android on pixels vs samsungs UI.

@@Frankcg29not much maybe 15 minutes less. However that is compensated by fast charging for 1 hour instead of 2 hour of iphone. That thing is that samsung already up par with iphone battery life.
Pixel 8 pro is superior, the Price not be mentioned is irrelevant, pixel 8 pro is phone to beat

I think this would have been better video if you would have went with the Iphone 15 pro max, that way all 3 phones would have been the best version of each not just Google and Samsung. Unfair advantage. I don't want to take anything away from the content. This is still a very well put together video and extremely useful! Thank you

I will still argue that the performance between the 15 pro and the max is the same, only advantage 😮would be slightly better zoom, not even worth commenting

@@oc3144 I think you’re exactly right. Most people have no idea that the Pro and Max have the exact same system, and only difference is that 5x. Which honestly the Max performs worse in that 3x and 4x range. It’s quite negligible.

My issue with Samsung has always been the software. 6-12 months behind in mainline Android updates and the continued insistence to push rebranded Samsung bloatware on customers. Even with the hardware quality, I stick with "stock" OS phones like Pixel and IOS.

People bash samsung for using grade 2 titanium... When the anti glare on the screen is the real G. Who cares about titanium you're gonna put it in case anyway just added cost.
At this point, I only got the Samsung S24 Ultra coz my last phone was the S6 edge plus and I'm so used to the OS. Pretty much all of them are Champions, can't go wrong with any of them😂😂

I think iphone held well in 1hr of usage considering its battery is in the 3000+ mAh range whereas, the other two are in the 5000+mAh range..
I didn't think pixel videos came a long way loved it

Good video bro, but the zoom test was not a fair fight for the iPhone, you needed the max mate, it makes a difference.
most people dont go the max, it just is what it is. In thos terms a more fair comparison would be S24+ vs iphone 14 pro, but this isn't that kind of video

I've just got the s24 ultra, noted that when zoom from 3× to 5× there is a slight vertical shift on the picture, something feel like the phone tilt a few degrees. Does anyone have the same issue or just me got lucky?
P8pro is stepping up in video compare to previous model. The price is also much cheaper than both s24u & ip15p.

@EmotionalTrance yea man...the pixel is better for motion for sure. But they did much better this year, the shutter is faster for sure. I took a Pic of my dog the other day and caught him turning his head pretty quickly and the picture actually came out really good. I was in bright sunlight tho

This is a true statement
In terms of image quality, my preference bounces around… there’s not one phone that’s superior for every shot. The Galaxy however has an advantage in terms of features such as an extra zoom lens, being able to capture stills, pause, and insert different angles while recording; they’ve had that advantage for years actually, plus Samsung has already confirmed an update to further improve camera performance on the new S24.
Yet it's the absolute worst with motion blur and shutter lag.
@@mrkring1526 I can’t speak to any motion blur or lack thereof since the fastest things I photograph are kids and cats, and even coming from an S20U it was never an issue for me… I always took motion photos and just picked out the best frame. In terms of shutter lag however, they’ve improved by leaps and bounds over the last four years. It used to be clearly noticeable, but on the S24U it’s the same difference when compared with my wife’s 13 Pro Max… that is, no lag to speak of on either. Far as I can tell, Samsung being slower or not as smooth as iPhones is no longer a thing, at least on the S series.
1:22 Pixel more flat and natural, Samsung more vibrant. Shows images where Samsung is the flatest and Pixel has most contrast.

Good comparison. But know that the Samsung 24 ultra camera has 200 megapixels, while the iPhone 15 pro max has a 48 megapixels. How can you compare them? My iPhone 15 Pro won’t focus for anything. I’m super disappointed with it. I had a Pixel 7 Pro and the zoom was unreal. I could read street signs three blocks away.
How is the Pro Max “too chunky” and $200 more but you’re also using the S24 Ultra, which costs more than the Pro Max? You can’t complain about the Pro Max size and cost when the S24 Ultra is $100 more and a similar size.
