The S23 Ultra being the best overall (based on average of all categories) and close as 2nd in each categories is what amazes me. Imagine what the S24 Ultra can do and it's just a little over a month away.

Just switched from the iPhone to Pixel, and to be honest, I just love taking pictures on the Pixel. As mentioned in the video, it does the "the Pixel magic".

Finally somebody else said this. The whole comparison is pointless... Cannot tell from that angle if the other lenses are greasy too, but I'd assume so when the main lens is as well.
That dirty stuff will cause lens glare and blurry photos or videos 😂
Now that Video Boost is out on the Pixel 8 Pro, I'm sure the Pixel would have won a lot more video rounds. I just got the phone and got Video Boost a few days ago. It works wonders, especially for Night Sight video!

@6:59 Wow, clean your lenses! S23U main lens is absolutely covered in grease. I wouldn't be surprised if the others were as well, the light just doesn't happen to reflect well on them in this angle. This is the most basic thing you can do to improve image quality: take care of your gear.
I'v just moved on from my S10+ to the S23 Ultra. And i am very happy with it. This test showed that it most of the time is second in the line... The 10x zoom is only useful in perfect light conditions. The 200 MP mode gives you the chance to create immensely detail rich pictures, again only in perfect light conditions... I hope that Samsung can and will still improve their camera software over the next months. I think there is still room for that...

I'm a Google Pixel fan! I love not just the Camera but also the AI for an overall true smart phone! I do agree that Google needs to step it up on video quality. But more people take pictures not videos. 👊🏼 Thanks for the video as always!

When we look at Samsung and iPhone pics..u can see arti facts...and a hallow sharpening...but pixel images don't have such things and are well balanced in terms of sharpening in most cases...

I think all of them are Great when it comes to taking Pictures and video. So no matter what people like you can't go wrong on any of these phones. The Technology is awesome on all of them. Realistically, like anything we use daily, it's all a matter of personal preference on how you use it, comfort of use, style, and what you like. I switch from Samsung to an iPhone and I definitely can't complain. Love it! I have friends that love their Samsung and some love their Pixel. we all share pictures and videos. 10:00 samsung in 8k has poor stabilisation..its not fair to compare its 8k..you should've done it on 4k 60fps
Also most important point about anything above 4k is is the sensor good enough to take advantage of more pixels? Usually the answer is no in phones we already have way more pixels than details of actual picture in photos, that means more pixels equals just bigger photo, but same quality
Me and my Xiaomi crew watching with respect the Master Brands battling it out but not bothered at all. However one can't stop wondering what the S24 Ultra will do as still among those 3 phones the S23 Ultra does more especially with the S-Pen, Dex Tech and multiview window. I personally don't see myself having a phone that doesn't have an IR Blaster. 😢 Xiaomi has spoilt me. The ability to control all electronic gadgets in my house with my phone is still intriguing here.
I am currently in the process of switching from Huawei P 20 pro to S23 ultra. It is very frustrating that you will have to say goodbye to the IR port available at any time. Yes, except she messed up in basics. 6:59, S23U main lens is very dirty. This is probably the reason for the weird blue tint and it also makes the image softer. Very careless...

All three phones are incredible in camera. The differences are really minimal. In the zoom should be more categories from 2x up to 4.9x, s23 ultra win, from 5x to 9.9x the winner should be the pixel 8 pro, and above 10x is Samsung S23 Ultra. In the night shots things are different, because the 10x on the samsung has 4.9 apperture, so it will lose, because pixel and iphone have wider apperture on th 5x telephoto lens.
Differences are not at all minimal. This is simplistic. There are major differences in terms of colors, details, sharpening, texture, bokeh, dynamic range etc. And none of these cameras is exempt from major negatives (limited dynamic range, proportion distortion). To claim that from a zoom of 10x or more the winner is the Samsung S23 Ultra does not make sense, as illustrated not only in this video, but others. While it has a 10x optical zoom, the sensor is very small and low quality, so it requires really good lights to provide decent pictures. Samsung is believed to switch to a 5x zoom only with the S24 Ultra, but with a much better sensor. This tells it all.
If you look most zoomed pics of s23 ultra u can see artifacts and ai artworks...way too sharpening at the edges and way too noise reduction and smoothing out...

*I'm still getting a Pixel 8 Pro in a few days. As a phone overall, I've liked the Google's Pixel series more than Samsung's Galaxy lineup or Apple's iPhones. Every Pixel I've had has felt smoother and more fun to operate than any iPhone or Galaxy I've had also, so I can't not choose Pixel.*

@@smperl0c0 Are you gaming or something? I barely get passed below 45% on a daily; when it intelligently finishes charging to full at 7am til when I get home around 730pm with about 45% battery left. However, I don't really game; I just watch some youtube videos in 2k / read some emails / browse the internet and texting/calls. So I do use it quite often during the day and it's pretty impressive. Google Pixel 8 Pro btw.

you didn't face any network problem. In Bangladesh 200 dollar phone is getting better network than these pixel phones. s23, Iphone also has better network. But after pixel 6 series, it just f*ckin poor.

iphone cinematic mode is fantastic.. incredibly stable and crisp.. I find screenshot off cinematic video coming off better than still photo taken from the main camera!

What a difference, you can tell right away that this is a truly unbiased camera review of these phones. There are a lot of reviewers on KZhead that unfortunately their iPhone fandom gets in the way of making realistic and honest camera reviews, always pointing out the iPhone's strengths while minimizing their weaknesses or in some cases pretending that they don't exist. It's clear that if it wasn't for so many video comparisons the Pixel would have taken this comparison. I can't wait for what Google's Video Boost will offer this coming Feature Drop in December.

@@invisibleunicorn3337 Believe me, the first thing i do before taking a picture on my s23 ultra is to clean the lenses :D Somehow, when using the phone , my fingers are always over the cameras and they are always dirty, so now its more or less like a habit for me to clean em in the tshirt before actually using them.
IMHO you get your money's worth based on the feature you want. If you are a zoom user who wants 10x to 100x zoom. Then the S23 Ultra really is the most preferred. As well as the 8K video feature. Also there should be a moon shot comparison also. One of the best features done by Samsung is the Camera Assistant App which allows you to customize a lot. But still it depends on the user.

@smperl0c0 it's not only about the weather. Movement is way more impactful on the quality of the video. For example , filming football game when you stand in the crowd is ideal use of 8k video capability, while moving and filming your kid while playing is where 4k 30/60fps will produce way better video quality.

Cant be the best if you still can't take clear shots with little movement. The moment pets or little kids even move the slightest bit, it's horrible smudged shots

S23U has a better selfie camera overall. Iphone struggles with over-brightening and saturation especially if you have a brown skin-tone.

I’m not sure cinematic video should’ve been its own category. I never use the feature and doubt the average users uses it either. Now that I’ve had this iPhone 15 pro max for more than a month I kinda wish I had bought the Pixel tbh. I’m not happy with the pics I’m getting in some scenarios.

@@fakedazzleful the pics on my iPhone come out alarmingly dark sometimes and other times they’re perfectly adequate. I owned a previous pixel and imperfections aside, the pics were almost always amazing.

Xiaomi 12t pro king of value. Shitty camera.and audio, some compromise on build but it's very good at what's important. Got it second hand for 300€ and it's basically as fast as any current flagship for 1/5 of their price, and 120w charging is game changer

In my opinion, the iPhone 15 PRO MAX And Pixel 8 pro are equally the same when it comes to photo, but the galaxy S23 ultra sense it came out sooner than both the iPhone and pixel. I think it still needs some more work on photo quality.
Let's hope Samsung is going to improve the photo quality with the S24 series

I face none of that.. Got the pixel 8... No heating so far... Warm every phone gets today coz of the crazy processing... I had the iPhone 14 pro and same thing.. But cameras are better on the pixel than the 14 pro.. You should maybe give it to the service centre once to check for any issues...

That blue tint on samsung was becoz on smudge on the camera lens.. we can see that on some of the back shots of phones
I still think the proper way to compare cameras is going for manual settings. If you check videos comparing mirrorless cameras, nobody do it on auto...
