Another great upload of my favorite B777. Very nice landing Captain! This may have been the same day that the Emirates A380 went around at SFO the Emirates A380 also went around at LAX. It’s a rare occurrence and very costly to the airline❤✈️

J'attendais cette suite avec impatience, merci beaucoup l'approche finale et les détails du roulage Sublime, il ne reste plus qu'à faire un tour à alamo square au côté des painted ladies attendre le coucher du soleil , déguster un bretzel bière à Hayes valley , place octavia, souvenirs, je m'égare ! Taxiing over a mile is maddening from the back.. it must seem SO slow to y'all! Like getting off the highway after hours and trying not to speed in the city. At least you're occupied.. I hated landing on the wrong side of DFW because it meant we were going to spend 20 minutes taxiing. I went back and forth between DFW and ORD a lot and would sometimes spend well over an hour on the ground, between taxiing and waiting in line at each end, and it's only a 90 minute flight.

Nice one. Minor point .... your airfield map graphics @ 2.28 onwards shows the aircraft vacating on 28R, but you landed on 28L?

I like how you do the taxi videos, they are so interesting to watch. Can you answer a question for me? A few weeks ago, I saw an Air France 777-300er land on 28L at SFO. The crew did not deploy the reversers after touchdown. The winds were gusting 29kts down the runway, so I thought perhaps the ground speed was slow enough that the reversers weren't necessary. Under what conditions would a flight crew choose to not deploy reversers?

- It depends on the runway length, the weather conditions and the aircraft weight but yes! As far as we can we try to reduce our fuel consumption and let our reversers on idle power on landing is a way to do that! We have onboard tools to compute runway lenght needed in all condition and we choose the best option regarding the results we obtain!

Did I see that right.. did you open the reverse thrust before the node wheel touched down? I watch a guy that makes videos with MS Flight Simulator where he hits full reverse while the front wheel is off the ground and somebody said that wasn't possible. I don't quite get the high bypass reversers. I think I know they divert the air from N1.. but that seems like it would suddenly make the mixture too rich by diverting air from N2. It also seems like it would still be putting more thrust out the back than the reversers.. 🤔

Is the digital distance guide to stop a the gate a new thing? I'm always used to ground crew guiding you to a stop. I guess it makes sense though given how high up off the ground you are and how close you are to the terminal that you wouldn't be able to see anything in front of you. I've never seen it before.

- Bonjour, oui cela arrive mais malheureusement c'est une question à laquelle je ne peux pas répondre en détail pour des raisons de sureté ! Par contre je vous conseille de poser la question au chef de cabine la prochaine fois que vous prenez un vol en vous présentant et en montrant votre intérêt pour l'aviation 🙂
