    • Grace, technique, quality of movement, sheer athleticism (he can get to anywhere on the court exactly when he wants to), agility (he can make any body angle advantageous to his offense) *Edit* : Today I was physically threatened on the court by an aggressive player in a pickup game. His teammates were holding him back from running at me. I just got home opened KZhead and saw a notification for likes on this comment. Thanks, all 27 of you for reminding me what my own game is truly built off of and why I play the game basketball.

  • Kobe's career requires knowledge of proper context. Being a 21 year old shooting guard for one of THE franchises in all of sports, having to face the best perimeter defenders on any given team in the lowest scoring era ever was A LOT to have to manage. By the following year, at just 22, he was truly on par with Shaq for production come playoff time.

  • Just imagine being drafted at 18 years old in the mid-90's, being expected to win from day 1 on a veteran stacked team. Imagine being handcuffed by your coach, and coming off the bench for your first 2 seasons despite being better than any of the veteran Guards on the team. By your 4th season, you're a 21-year-old proven veteran superstar. The team acquires Phil Jackson as your new coach. The team starts winning, and you go on to dominate as a player alongside Shaq with numerous great performances, some of them being historically significant. You prove yourself over and over again in the playoffs, and the Finals as the best Guard in the league, and maybe the best player in the NBA. Your team ultimately wins 3 championships in a row. You have a couple of seasons of turmoil where the team is still winning, but loses in the playoffs and the Finals. Shaq leaves, and starts talking crap, and everyone starts trying to invalidate your career because they love Shaq's goofy TV personality. Now that Shaq has left, all of the sudden people start saying that you could never win without him, and that you were just a role player, or a sidekick on those championship winning teams. What does it make you if you prove those people wrong twice in a row? Kobe was already a certified first-ballot HOFer and an all-time great after that 3-peat, but by winning twice without Shaq when people were trying to invalidate Kobe's previous accomplishments, those last two titles made Kobe one of the top 5 player of all-time, if not top 3. None of those Lakers championships would have happened without Kobe Bryant on those teams.

The 14 years he played full time 99-13 he was a top 5 player every year during that stretch also can’t forget the 2 Gold Medal he helped lead Team USA too.. How quickly they forget..

Antman, Tatum, Jalen Brown, SGA, Jamal Murray, Embid, Maxey. The only two players that has their drive and energy up every game are Jokic and Brunson, which reminds me of Kobe. Every damn game he is ON, he might be missing shots but gtdammit it isnt for the lack of energy or being passive, or "camp out" on the corner baseline away from the action. So many of these players have no bag! They can only either shoot threes or layups lol. Only a handful can score on 3 levels nowadays smh.
