Your videos are incredible! You have a combination of creativity, ingenuity, technical skill, patience, respect for your audience, and engaging screen presence that is truly remarkable!
+Stella Belikiewicz Thank you so much!!
+Stella Belikiewicz You have so right!!!
I agree. Beautiful.
Well said. I might add entertaining as well.
Mega Dittos!
"Just going to grab a saw and... Break it off" I laughed at that. I lol'd, in fact
how was that funny
Charles Wanous I feel sorry for you
I haven't laughed that hard in a video in a lonnnngggg time.
THATS WHAT SHE SAID!
denno021 to lazy to wait what part in the video did he say
honestly this channel was quite a change of pace for my usual stuff, but this channel is so mesmerizing
I went down this youtube hole and came back astonished at the awesome skills you have!
Excellent video & project Jeremy.
Thoroughly enjoyable video, and the bowl looks great!
+John Heisz Thanks! :)
Incredibly talented young woodworker. I only wish I was a mildly autistic Canadian child of wildly affluent parents when I was a kid.
Ticky Tacky Instead you were born a salty, whining loser with no talent. Shame. Maybe we’d all be better off if your non “affluent parents” hadn’t brought you into the world at all. You don’t seem to be adding much to it.
فن وابداع وهندسه شكرا لك
I like your commitment to supporting local businesses! Job well done!
Who knew that plywood could be so beautiful? I certainly didn’t. Very nice
That is a great bowl, also a big job. Well explained!
Weave looks very cool at that angle!
+Wintergatan Thank you!
The 20 degree tilt was a great choice!
Anyone can throw paint on a canvas, but this is art. Nice move with the hand saw.
This video was loaded with good stuff! The bowl itself is a masterpiece, and your delivery was great. Thanks ;)
+pocket83 Thank you!
I love your humor. That's the best way to saw the bowl off of the base....... I had to watch this video a couple of times. Also, that is a GREAT looking bowl!
+Smedleydog1 Thank you!
Fantastic work!!! I'm in a Sculpting-like class, and I made a chess piece, the pawn. (clay, haha) And If you'd like, I can send you a picture of the finished piece once it's done. I still need to let it dry out and turn it into Bisque ware, after that I'll glaze it and make the finished product. (My instructor is going to teach me how to make Glaze look like marble)
Hey Jeremy, please do not take this the wrong way but you are a pure woodworking nerd and I love it. In my past life I was a shop fitter and would make jigs for everything. The way you explain everything in your video's is great. Great project and thanks for sharing.
Another well thought out aand realized project, Jeremy, you are gathering quite a group of admirers and it is all well deserved. On the subject of bowls and the finishing thereof, make yourself a LONGWORTH CHUCK; you'll find plenty of information about it, right here on KZhead. With your skills and brains, I am convinced that you'd be able to build one in your sleep. Think about it, cheers.
I’ve considered it. I thought about it a lot until I made a few a bowls this way, but this works well enough I’m not sure it’s worth it.
7:59 that looked so cool! Great bowl too!
Just started watching your channel. I like the way you explain the processes and reasoning. You make things understandable and interesting and digestible.
Very smart, really good work. This guy is gonna be one of those super turners....way beyond everyone else.
Ok now your just showing off...I love it! Who would of thought a piece of plywood could be made to look so Good. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Great idea. Great execution. A beautiful product. I would be proud to have that on my dinner table. Just gorgeous!
The whole time I watched this I just kept thinking wow that's smart. Great work.
same here. i was like .. is he a nerd? coz his measurements are all on point! wow
I don't know how you come up with these magnificent looking projects and then manage to make it look so simple to complete. You have a real gift and by all means continue using it and sharing it with others. I totally enjoy all of your videos. God Bless My friend.
+Frank Ingram Thanks! They really aren't difficult, they just take a lot of time.
One of the nicest plywood bowl I've seen. Thanks
I really appreciate the way you explain the technical aspects of how you went about creating / solving this. Nice work. Thanks for the video.
+DRMNZ Thanks!
Dang! Nice job!
I have a very dear friend that has your gift. He spent his life woodworking. He was your age (20-30?) in the 70's. There was no safety equipment or respirators. He's now on a lung transplant list. Healthy as a horse except his lungs. Doctors say the life of dust collection by his lungs did him in. Please take care. Keep up the good work little brother.
I enjoyed the creation of all your products ! Please make more and start selling them! They are really good quality stuff!
Beautiful Jeremy!. It really has the basket illusion thanks to the angles
So much work into this quite interesting object! Great video and great explanation!
+Get Hands Dirty Thanks! :)
Deceptively simple.Simply beautiful...
Very clear audio and video, step by step work accomplishment, and an excellent product. Who can beat that, JEREMY SCHMIDT, one of the few and the best.
somebody warn Frank Howarth! Impressive Mr. Schmidt.
how did you get so good at woodworking at such a young age?! impressive work. very enjoyable. thank you
I'v built bowls like this before but I really liked how you explained how to build one. Very informative...you could be a teacher.
Brilliant! The math of all those angles blew me away. This probably the most unique piece of plywood I've ever seen.
I've always enjoy watching all of your videos, but this time, THIS time, you knocked it out of the park. Matthias finally has some competition. I was surprised to see your lathe tools weren't 6 inches shorter from all the sharpening you must have done. Plywood is so tough on them.
+Jimbo L Thanks! Haha, the lathe tools did lose a lot of length!
It really does look like a basket weave. well done.
Grab a saw and break it off lol! loved that! Bowl looks great!
thats a piece of art. should be in a gallery. love your work :)
"Now I'm gonna grab a saw and break it off" LOL
Spreading the glue with a credit card, like a boss.
Best video ever seen of making a bowl.
I'm not a wood turning guy, but I watched the video because I knew you'd do something innovative or creative. As I expected... you're a smart guy. I love your creative solutions. Awesome bowl.
+Fernando Rosales Thank you!
+Fernando Rosales Thank you!
Awesome basket weave bowl. Now, fill it up with fresh fruit and place it on the dinner table.
like it
Wow, just, wow! Where did you learn your stuff Jeremy? You've made some amazing pieces, hugely impressive!
+Mario Cappellano (The Woodfather) Thank you! I'm mostly self-taught, with the help of some youtubers...
Wow. That looks really great. Thank you for sharing your project. Well done. 😎👍
Wow - such talent and I know how much more I have to learn - keep up the good work.
I was watching you glue and clamp all the rings together and they were sliding all over the place. If you sprinkle some salt in between the layers it stops the pieces from slipping and the salt just disolves. Cheers.
14:08 imagine jeremy clarkson doing a voiceover here "Now introducing the new bowl"
Great explanation and wonderful looking bowl! Thanks!
Beautiful work, and great design!
You're good at solving technical problems. You should pursue engineering as a career if you're not already.
Looked like there was a hole at the bottom. Am I right?
+CyniuxD Yes, but it's clogged with glue
Oh, its k then xd
+Jeremy Schmidt -got this from watching someone else's video: mix appropriate color sanding dust with glue, pack in any holes left over. Also, one gentleman used elongated rubber bands to hold the pieces in a ring. when the ring was too large, he tied a rope around the rings, put a smallish weight on top/middle, made sure the pieces lined up and tied a rope around them and in the knot of the rope, twisted it tight with a screwdriver, used something to hold the screwdriver (I couldn't see what - probably a rubber band! 😉), periodically checking alignment. Then he piled on more weights. That seemed to work, but I bet it takes a lot of practice. But you probably have figured this out all ready, just thought I'd pass the info on.
you are a multi talented young man. great job in every aspect (the actual work, video, editing, your commentary). you'll make an awesome instructor!
the craftsmanship is topnotch but what makes me come back and watch is your great editing!
Why do bowls sit on the rim of the bottom? Why don't bowls simply sit on the entire bottom surface area? Same with mugs, cups, etc...
+Kovacs Kovacs If there is a small bump or a piece of dirt on the table, it's more likely to land in the recessed middle area. If the bowl was flat then it would rock back & forth on the bump.

Anyone reading the replys, Jeremy has added a spot the difference challenge. Or has he? Find it if you dare
Also has to do with the weight of the circular object is basically all carried using the outer rim of the circle. So by cutting away the inside you actually lose next to no stability.
Impressive. Not only the bowl but also working out all the angles and grain matching. Nicely done.
+Mike Lange Thanks! There aren't really any angles to work out. It's just a normal 12-segment ring except it's cut with the blade tilted. And so long as the blade stays at the same angle throughout the project, everything will fit.
What a clever young man. He is brilliant.
What a beauty! Love your work Jeremy.
I admire your ability to think outside the box when it came to matching the grains up like that!
What an amazingly ingenious design - beautiful work Jeremy.
I wished I was there with you assisting you and enjoy the time inside your workshop.
Wow... gorgeous bowl!
You're so clever! I am not a woodworker (i just watch woodowrking vids for relaxation/entertainment/wishing-I-could-afford-to-become-a-woodworker purposes) and thoroughly enjoyed this. SUBSCRIBED! 👍
I used to do wood working high school. I absolutely loved it and got pretty good at it too. I wish I could pursue that and have my own machines....but that's a lot of money that I do not have! I guess I'll have to live vicarious through you! Love your videos!
Turned out wonderful, a bowl in motion!!
am from the Caribbean and this really looks like the bush baskets the market vendors sell, only this one can hold liquids. nice idea, the video was very informative and so far I seen many wood turning videos and you the only one that I have seen that have actually use plywood to do a project, great job!
Your solutions are very inspiring!
Who would have thought plywood could look so pretty. Lovely job.
that was really great on every front: excellent, fun editing, excellent technical explanation, excellent result.
+ThoperSought Thank you!!
Gorgeous bowl!
While you were taking off the rest by hand that sound was so satisfying 😍
Very nice basket, Like the way you explain the faults 2. keep it up.
Man, that is gorgeous! Great job!
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing your talents.
The King of plywood
Very nice work from a truly talented artist!
Wow you are very creative and a great problem solver. I enjoyed listening and watching you. Very entertaining. Beautiful wrk!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Really nice design. I love it!
Wow. Nice work Jer.
I’m going to have to try and duplicate this bowl. Awesome work. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful. Good job!
Excellent job Jeremy!
Wow! Not only a terrific looking bowl, but a great 3D sense of the geometric challenges in this project. Not to mention clever solutions to these challenges along with clear explanations of the grain/geometry issues. A model KZhead video. Congrats! 🎉
Thank you!
Sorry, I just looked and found the video on the sled. WOnderful. Always look forward to your postings....amazing. Thanks Jeremy.
Great looking bowl.
Awesome bowl! Love your workshop. Very impressive 😉
Not only beautiful but ingenious too. Very nicely done.
Beautiful job!!
It is a beautiful bowl!
Nice work Jeremy, you are great!
Never ceases to amaze me what creative ideas you can come up with to use plywood for. Looks great even if the glue up was a pain the results looked great.
Excellent. Such creativity. Congratulations.
I don't know how I have missed your videos all this time. I just discovered this channel. I love the band saw in the background
Love it, so many options when doing segmented bowls.
Man, you're some kind of woodworking genius!
That looks really good! I really love how the look came out!
Jer - Awesome figuring out of the patterns... The basketweave and the walnut grain. I love this type of brain teaser.
+Greg's Garage Thanks! :)
Fantastic job. Beautiful bowl.
