    • Phillip Schofeild the great divine his overwhelming nationalism and want to see the best for the British Empire even during the Depression has that old keep the stiff upper lip mentality which was always very British to me. Not to mention his ability to literally weaponize words to encourage the masses to fight even in the grimmest of circumstances. And as we all know no one has a better command of the English language than the British, stereotypically speaking of course.

He saw his parents so little that during a dinner party he made the declaration that he’d spoken to his son more that evening than his father in his entire life.

  • This has got to be the best ERB in the channel's history, for several reasons. 1. There was no clear winner here. Both Churchill and Roosevelt were incredible and delivered some of the hardest lines in the series. 2. It's the classic "Murica vs Britain" using the most badass leaders from each side's respective histories. 3. The background music slaps hard. 4. It's actually epic and is actually about history.

    • @@-Alter- It isn't wrong, they freely reference one another's time period (as in all of the battles). Teddy straight up says "Keep Calm and Kiss My Cousin's Ass;" they know which Roosevelt they are talking about (rushmore, panama canal, big stick, cuba, fda, parks, fitness, etc.).
