BELT COLLECTOR: The Full Kenny Omega Run (Documentary)

2023 ж. 8 Қаз.
238 174 Рет қаралды

In 2019, Kenny Omega won the AAA Mega Championship; dubbing it the O-Mega Championship; and in the following two years set out on a title collecting run that we haven't seen in a major promotion since Ultimo Dragon and Lance Storm.
Determined to raise the profile of AAA and Impact, Omega won their championships and added the crown jewel to his collection... The AEW World Championship.
This is the complete Belt Collector run of Kenny Omega in IMPACT, AAA and AEW. This includes all wins & title defenses.
Due to copyright, there has been massive sections cut out/trimmed down in this video. This video is nowhere near as finessed as our usual videos; there are several elements that overlap at times but this is purely down to how much time it takes to edit. • Although i liked the belt collector run of Kenny, it's nowhere close to his days in NJPW. This maybe due to him working with lingering injuries but Kenny in Japan is built different and hits hard. I encourage you to do a documentary on how he almost single handedly brought back western prominence to NJPW from 2016-2019

    • One could say Fin Balor and Kenny omega laid the foundations for AEW ever existing. Kenny deserved it all. His acting, ringwork, athleticism, and drive set this man apart from the rest. I think of the amazing names that are often up just by working with the guy. They are nearly countless.

  • Kenny Omega is truly the best in the world. It’s not because he’s was the champion from multiple promotion, because all that is predetermined. But it’s because those promotion trusts and willing to make him their top champion even though they know AEW will benefit the most from him being their top champion. They trust he will make the world see their promotion and he will help their promotion even a little. I truly believe Forbidden Door wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t Kenny Omega close relationship with NJPW.

  • Holding that many belts is very cool, but what is most impressive is that he defended them all quite regularly. How many defenses did he actually do during this Belt Collector reign? It may be a record honestly; not for a single belt but championship defenses over a short period.

  • The very first match I ever got to see live was Christian Cage vs Kenny Omega for the Impact World Championship, it's not lost on me just how special that is. I got to witness the unraveling of The Belt Collector right in front of me. There's plenty of people I still can't wait to see hold the AEW World Championship, but god I need one more proper run out of The Collector in front of an actual crowd.

He is incredible and I regret not learning of him until he left NJPW (his rivalry with Okada was god level). He never failed to captivate and his love for Japan and anime made me idolize him even more. Its a shame his body started breaking down and now his health issues have him sidelined indefinitely 😔.
