  • As someone who takes medication for concentration and for anxiety, I wanted to try GFuel, but after seeing that it worked better for me than coffee, I wanted to consult with a pharmacist before buying more. Now, what I asked her was specifically if there was any counter-indications from any of the ingredients with any of my meds, and while I expected disapproval from some of the ingredients in the energy part of things, like caffeine or taurine, it ended up that the only really problematic ingredient in there was the _grapefruit fruit powder_, listed as part of the antioxidant complex, because apparently grapefruit contains something that can lower the efficacity of anti-anxiety meds. I'll tell you, I definitely wasn't expecting that one 😅

They literally don’t care about anything you do unless you’re trying to provide something truly healthy for the people in which case they’ll tell you it’s terrible and toxic like raw milk. The lie to you and say you’re going to get E. coli or some garbage like that that’s not even remotely possible with today’s technology but they’ll keep lying to you and telling you how unhealthy raw milk is when the reality is raw milk is so incredible for you plus people who are lactose intolerant can actually drink raw milk because raw milk contains enzymes that naturally break down lactose in your stomach which means that lactose intolerance only exists because people drink milk that has been heated to the point where all of its natural enzymes in benefits have been burned out of it, so don’t believe anything the FDA has to say their goal is to keep you connected to the medical industry which keeps you paying for drugs that have insane Side effects

  • 7:25 I’m a paramedic, and I’d like to add something to this whole but that’s unrelated to the food and gamer drink point of this episode. I honestly didn’t fully understand how this worked myself until Mat explained caffeine here, but I think it’s interesting to others, especially if a paramedic tells you they’re using it on a loved one. In the US, at least, and likely other countries and territories, one of the essential drugs for EMS and emergency rooms is Adenosine. It’s used to slow down tachycardias (abnormally fast heart rates) to stabilize a patient’s heart. I always thought it had some kind of reaction on the heart because the way my instructors explained the pharmacodynamics of Adenosine was unclear at best. This makes a ton more sense that it’s a brain reaction. Adenosine also has a short half life in the body. I’m talking 10 seconds short of a half life. In medicine, generally speaking, if a medication experiences 5 half lives in the body, it’s more or less ineffective at that point, so Adenosine, at least for my purposes, only has 50 seconds to work. It needs to be pushed via a good IV site rapidly to have any chance of working. When it does get through, it does what I call a “heart soft reset” because it reminds me of restarting a computer with the Restart command. Knowing the info from this video makes it clearer, to me at least, why this happens, and I’m glad I saw this video when I did. All this to say, thank Matt for educating me and others.
