    • @milky8471 I wanted to have the birth at home, but my partner wasn't comfortable with that. We mutually agreed to have it at the hospital but still incorporate a holistic approach. The hospital and my doctor were very accommodating. I did all natural, no medication or pain management. I did hypnobirthing, and it was a great experience with hardly any pain. I plan on my next being at a birthing center, just for a little more of a peaceful experience. She's almost 4 months now! 🥰

  • My family always teases me that my pregnancies are the only things I have completed from start to finish without trying to bail. That isn't true, however. Trust, you, me... come 8 cm I was begging to back out... "I've changed my mind, I can always adopt!" lol. However, with each baby, as soon as I held them, even during stitches (2 V birth) and Closing (1 911 C-section and 1 planned C-section) I was already planning the next baby... "Hey, Doc! About this time next year? You up for it?" He never took me seriously... My first 3 kids are roughly 15 months between each. Doc was sure he was done with my bipolar labor and deliveries... Then, my 4th was 5 yrs after the third. Be proud mamas! Never doubt your ability and when you inevitably do, keep pushing! Don't allow others to hi-jack your Births. If you have a plan or not, you will know as things progress what your body (and the rest of you) needs. Follow your instincts. If someone you don't want is there, have the nurse ask everyone to leave. You can always call back those who you want there. If you need to rest, shower, eat, etc . If you start not wanting pain meds but change your mind when you actually experience the pain, do what is best for your body. If you are suffering your delivery will too. Obviously, there are exceptions to every birth, as no 2 are the exact same. I'm simply saying to trust yourself and listen to yourself. You know this already. We were quite literally designed for this. Be your own best ali.

  • I was SO blessed when I had my son. I was 21 years old. I went to the hospital at 11 pm, on a Monday night. Had actually been in labor for some hours. Once in the hospital, I actually slept overnight through labor! Naturally. I was accustomed to getting to bed early.. so I was tired! The nurse came in every so often to check my progress. At 10 am, on Tuesday, they said "You're ready to go!". Rolled me into the delivery room. Everyone was so nice. The doctor was hilarious.. cracking jokes. I'm sure it was all to keep me calm. I was fine. And before I knew it, my son was born. The nurse brought him to me and I held him while the doctor finished up. It was a wonderful experience. No problems. Baby and I were fine. Afterwards, the baby was taken to the nursery, I was back in my room and I went back to sleep for a while. Yes. I was truly blessed. Thank You, Lord. 🙏❤️ That was it for me. No more children. One-and-Done! 😄

My mother had to tell me I was in active labor because I wasn't having any pains, but she saw my stomach muscles contracting. Idk if they still DON'T tell women that getting demerol through their IV is an alternative to an epidural, but it is! I went to right to sleep until it was time to push. If you’re a screamer you won’t be able to hold it, if you’re not a screamer in life in general, you won’t scream. Women’s character and emotional coping mechanisms do not change but enhance in labor. Those dealing with their feelings and emotions internally do the same in labor, those of us that deal with all externally do the same in labor. I remember tapping a lot during contractions, like banging a rhythm with my hand on whatever surface I was holding on to, getting it out. But I’m an external coping person.

  • What’s the cause when women are in early labor but the contractions are severe?

    @NoMoreCremesavers@NoMoreCremesaversКүн бұрын
    • It could be a result of baby's position or sometimes linked to pain tolerance levels. Sometimes it could be a result of dehydration, high stress or the body running on little to no food. Sometimes you may have intense contractions but the cervix isn't opening as much as it 'should have' by a certain frequency of contractions. So, there are many factors that could influence this. Hope my answer has given you some helpful information though 💖🌹

    • Perhaps. It is true that labor is different for every woman and even every pregnancy. Like I had back labor with my first I’m really hoping I don’t feel that again this time, because it’s just constant pain with no breaks vs. contractions where you get at least a little break in between. It still gives women an idea of how their labor will/might progress. It’s actually astonishing how many women go into their first labor completely unprepared. I was one of those. The hospitals really teach you very little and it’s hard to grasp how relevant some of the information is until you’ve been through it.

  • *3cm dilated* Her: "Just about to watch a movie and have a cup of tea" Me: "I'm sorry you're having a hard time, sweetie. I'll hug you until you stop screaming and stomping. ... No. Off limits. Come out of the road. Okay, we're going inside. What are you doing? Don't touch that. You know not to mess with the dog's bowls, why did you do that? Okay, let's clean it up. Oh, hi, David, what are you guys doing today? Finishing up the plumbing? Cool. Yeah, let me just get a few gallons of water so I can boil it for our bath later first. Hey, Carl, when can I expect the electrician? Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, I'll guess we'll have to wait until next week. Hey, Mom. Yeah, go ahead and start packing. Sorry we're a month early. I'll let you know as soon as they're consistent so you can get down here in time. Yeah, be careful around (canyon), we almost skid last time we went through. WHERE DID YOU GET SCISSORS?? COME BACK HERE NOW. Hey, David, we still don't have water and there's a leak in the basement. David? Sorry, sweetie, mom needs that. We've got to get this bad ready for little brother. So exciting, huh? Ughh, we only have 5 onesies. Honey, I'm going to spend a bunch of money, sorry. Yeah, hopefully they'll get here in time. David??? Sweetie, don't come too close, this is really hot. I need to get it up to the tub without spilling, so you need to stay out of Mama's way. Carl, we might have to wait on the sprinklers, sorry. Hi, honey, how was your day? Oh, dang it, I'm sorry. Yeah, it was okay, just exhausted. STOP pouring out the dogs' water! What is with you today?? *sigh* Thanks, honey." *collapse on couch*

  • Early Labor : 0-3cm Active Labor : 4-6cm You won't start really feeling those contractions till you're 4cm dilated. They usually don't admit you till you're 4cm dilated because when I went to the hospital I was 4cm dilated && that's when they admitted me. If you go to any ER they usually make you wait till you're 4cm to induce you. Some women plan the date with their ObGyn && they'll go to the ER to be induced especially if you're having a C-Section. I know because my ObGyb told me to go to the ER to get induced && I was only 1cm but I just waited till I went into active labor.

    • Why would you go to ER to be induced, what’s the purpose of this? how is that even legal, what country is this done in?

      @Pohlmaster@Pohlmaster7 ай бұрын
    • @@Pohlmaster I also said that the hospital doesn't admit you till your 4cm. Just because you feel contractions at 2cm doesn't mean that you're in labor because Active Labor doesn't begin until you're 4cm-6cm like I said.

    • This is a video of the different stages of labour. I am acting in it and showing the stages with a pretend pregnancy belly. I am demonstrating the different stages of labour and what they are usually like. I have one minute available to do this for a KZhead short. Labour is obviously longer than this in real life ❤️

    • My labour was 25 hours from start to finish. Each stage can last a while but this video is to give you an idea about what contractions would be like, how long they would last and how a woman may behave during the different stages 🌹💓
