BABY HEAD DOWN SIGNS - HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOUR BABY IS HEAD DOWN?
Is your baby head down? It can be hard to know unless you know what head down baby signs to look out for. When I was in my 3rd trimester I was constantly wondering: "What position is my baby in?" and "Is my baby head down yet?" so to prevent frustration or confusion for you, I have made this video about how you can tell if your baby is head down. In this video I talked about an ECV procedure which is typically offered to pregnant women after 36 weeks for a breech baby (head up baby). This is a medical procedure carried out in the hospital by a doctor. I hope that you find this video helpful if you have been googling things like 'baby position in womb' and 'head down baby signs'

When she had my brother, the doctor said my brother wasn't turned yet and started preparing for c-section. Mom didn't want to be cut open, so she started talking to my brother in her belly, patting and asking him to turn. The next hour, the doctor came again for final examination before bringing mom to operation room and he already turned!! My brother was born normally, quick and easy. Now that I'm in my 3rd trimester, I also start talking to my baby and asking her to be ready for normal birth. I don't know why but I'm just sure she understand me 🥰
I really do believe that talking to your baby and making your intentions known does work 😜. You are deeply connected to your baby and even though they can not speak or really understand language yet, they somehow understand what you say to them when your communicate with them. Amazing story about your mum and your brother! Thanks so much for sharing it and I hope it works for you and your baby too 💖🌹
Wow😮😮 now that am 36 weeks I hope it's not late to talk to my little boy
She doesn’t. I’ve been asking mine too. She just got lucky or God blessed her or something. Glad her baby turned.
I agree to this. For some reason, babies listen ❤ Mine was breech 2 weeks after our last visit. My sonographer was upset because my baby turned in just 2 weeks. When we got home I spoke to my child to turn. Guess what? A week after, we had another scan and my baby was cephalic (head down) and she even gave us a bonus by showing up her face! 😊
It's actually true, I am 35 weeks, when my baby squeezes my bladder many times and I get the urge to pee (you know how uncomfortable it can be) I talk to my baby telling her to be nice to mommy and guess what she instantly listens ❤
1. Location of baby kicks 2. Frequent peeing 3. No more indigestion 4. Baby hiccups 5. Lightning crotch 6. Belly drops 7. Easier breathing 8. Heartbeat location 9. Waddling 10. Discharge
Thank you for consolidating the clues, ceraredfox!
I am experiencing all of these
Not all necessarily so by the way. Speaking from experience.
@@reflectionsinthebible3579same.. experiencing almost everything above but my baby is still on breech position 😅 hubby and i are talking everyday to baby, hopefully she’ll position when it’s time :)

@@HypnobirthingWithAnja thanks
Thanks for ur information I was worried about the discharge … I think my baby head down. I wanted to a normal delivery bcz my first onw was c section
at my 32 week scan i was told my baby is in a frank breech position. I am now 33 weeks and I have some of these signs you have said in your video. Im hoping she has turned around. I definitely feel her pushing on my bladder and kicks up top/side of the ribs. this is my first baby your videos are helpful :)
I’ve had some of the signs and mine is breech, so not all are true.
@@reflectionsinthebible3579 thanks, yeah my baby still breeched even tho felt hiccups below. Have to have a c section now 38 weeks with breech
Update: baby was still breeched even though i felt movement uptop thinking it was kicks. Got a scan at 37 weeks and baby was breeched. I had an elective c section at 38 weeks
Ty u Doctor for your advice
Thank you for this video 😊 I really appreciate it. I do have a question, recently I get sharp kick in my upper right side what this could be?
It's probably your baby's legs meaning your baby is head down ❤️👍
Im in my 33 weeks pregnancy and according to my ob upon checking in ultrasound my baby's in head down position
Yes I believe my baby turn head down on Sunday and I’m about 29weeks and 6weeks
Great! I hope your pregnancy is going well 💓🌹
My baby is head down…😃😃😃 Having him soon.🤭🤭
Im 31 weeks and the baby is still flip flopping in full. Big flips. I cant believe she has the space to do that.

My son has been head down the entire 9 months
Lightning shock is a real thing omg 😆
Amen amen 💖 God is good I also pray for a safe, natural, healthy birth, these doctors just want to cut, but with our fathers grace all is well 🙌
Yes!! It's great to be informed but at the end of the day God is in control and His grace is sufficient for those He calls His own.
Noticed all of these, ill be 34 weeks tomorrow, EXCEPT I still have loads of heartburn/acid reflux…. I do have a herniated diaphragm tho, so I was expecting this.
So sorry to hear about your reflux! It mustn't be very nice to deal with. Atleast you know what is causing it. Hopefully when your baby is born, the heartburn will ease off 💓🌹
Is it possible for a baby to turn at 29 weeks? The nurses say i am 29 weeks but i am counting 33 weeks. I have those signs
I’m 27 weeks and he has been head down since 20 weeks
He flips every which way I’m 35 weeks he still doing summer saults like how !!!?
My baby girl was head down at all ultrasounds (17, 20, 28 weeks). Sometimes I notice she turns because I feel kicks down near my crouch, but most of the time, 90% I feel it up near my ribs. I'm now 30+3 weeks
Also I barely have any stomach problems! And I do pee often 😂
I also can feel her feet on the upper part of my belly all the time hahaha. Breathing is definitely easier as well because she is head down
I feel movements up high and down low. I also know baby keeps moving sides of the belly and don't know if that's because baby is flipping or just slip and sliding... it's so hard to know where they are
I can totally understand this! Sometimes, having a scan is the best way to figure out what position your baby is in if you're finding it all a bit confusing with your baby's movements. 💖
@@HypnobirthingWithAnja yeah. I'm 35 weeks today, but every other ultrasound I get baby is in a different position... thought I got lucky with head down at 33 weeks. Lol
My child has been side ways since conception head on the right and feet on the left and he hasn’t moved from that position, he moves around a lot every day but never moving up or down. I have horrible cervix and pelvic pains when walking or lifting up my legs to put pants on. The pain intensifies at night is this normal? 30wks today
Please reply
Wow I’m feeling all of these signs I turn 37 weeks today😬😬😬
That all sounds really positive! Hope the final days of your pregnancy go well for you! Have a great weekend and thanks so much for watching the video ❤️😊🌹
Hi, what position will baby be if i feel the baby's hands in the abdomen
It could be baby’s feet just fyi.
Is there a station the baby will not move out of anymore? Or can they still move out of head down at any time?
It's unlikely a baby will flip into another position after 37 weeks of pregnancy but before that it is still possible as space isn't so tight 💓
What if the hiccups are near my bum area? Is that a good sign at 31weeks?
Yes! It sounds like your baby is head down. 👍💕
I've all these symptoms but my baby is in breach position.. I'm in my 30th week

Thanks for your message! Sorry you've got a lot of pelvic pain. Having warm baths can help ❤️ I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well for you 💓💕
32 weeks pregnant too. Girl too😊. All the best.
Baby is head down and I got lightning crotch. But also heartburn came back. Whyyyy. I feel hiccups down low now too. But her body is mostly on my right side.
Hi! So sorry to hear that your heartburn has come back. Try to eat small amounts of food rather than alot in one go. Try to chew your food more than you usually would and don't drink anything with your meals. Also don't eat chewing gum as you can swallow alot of air and that can make heartburn worse. Sipping on peppermint tea can help in between meals too ❤️👍 I hope your heartburn eases off soon 💓
Hi, can a baby who was previously Head down at 28 weeks change his position later on as the pregnancy progresses?
Yes sometimes. It depends on how much your sitting down and in what position your hips are in compared to your knees. To keep your baby head down it's best to walk every day and have your hips above your knees when seated as often as possible. ❤️👍
Yes this happened to me with my first, he was head down at 28 weeks and turned frank breech around 31/32 weeks and unfortunately I had no idea what I was doing with my first and I didn’t know anything about spinning babies or breech tilts, my doctor failed an ECV and I was forced into a csection.
@@Romans08.31sad. But the exercises don’t always work and ecv doesn’t always work either. ❤
How many pounds is considered a big baby & does this mean C-section has to be done? Can normal delivery be done?
A bigger baby is considered to be OVER 10lbs. It's only if you have gestational diabetes that your doctor might worry about your baby being over 10lbs and suggest a C-section. Most babies can be born vaginally with no issues ❤️👍
Thanks for the response! My Dr said according to her experience, they do C-section if the baby's head is big & the passageway is small. 38 weeks & baby is 6 lbs,13 oz..
@@amazinglifeadventuresI know a lady who had a 12lb baby and had it naturally

Hi .i am 32 weeks of pregnancy. And i feel so much pressure in lower abdomen while i stand..i feel relax when i lay down. Is it ok or not normal
Hi! It doesn't sound like there is anything to be worried about but I'm not a doctor and I can't diagnose anything. If you are worried, I always advise seeing a doctor to get checked. 👍❤️
Super normal. I’m feeling the exact same. I’m 33 weeks.
Hi there, this might be a silly question but if baby is head down is it safe to wear one of those belts for lower back pain? Not sure if im squishing the baby wearing it.
Hi! Thanks for your question 😊 I wore a pregnancy belt for back pain and my doctor actually suggested I wear it. So, I don't think it harms a baby. They are protected by the amniotic sac, it acts like a cushion. ❤️🌹👍
@@HypnobirthingWithAnja thank you ❤️
There is still heartburn and baby is head down.
Is it normal to have lightning crotch in the 1-st trimester? This is the strangest and unexpected symptom I am having.
I'm not sure. If you are in pain or concerned do get checked by a maternity care provider. It may be linked to your womb expanding in size. It may be linked to pelvic changes in the tendons and ligaments as everything widens and stretches for your baby to grow. I would still get checked at the hospital though as I've not heard of lightning crotch in the 1st trimester before 💞👍
Am 33weeks + 2 days preg.. My baby is in cephalic position from the first.. I just felt the baby's hiccups below my belly button.. And not feeling any pelvic pain for the past 2 days... is it normal?? Or my baby's position has changed?? how we can get to know whtr my baby is engaged into pelvic bone if position is not changed???
It's probably too soon for your baby to be fully engaged in the pelvis. That will usually happen in the next few weeks of pregnancy. It's lightning crotch/electric shock sensations and waddling that were the main sign of my baby being engaged. 💞👍
I need excsice ball
How the baby moves much when the head is down??
Your baby still has some space to move. They will be wriggling their head and still kicking and moving their arms and legs ❤️
Well doctors said my baby is in breech position but am always peeing every now n then though i feel kicks down the stomach now am confused
Your baby’s feet are on your urinary sack. This lady have some false info. -pregnant now on baby number five.
Hi am 31 preg.but l can't sleep on mi left hand side help me pls
Don't worry. Your right side is ok and so is sleeping propped up with pillows like this (see link to photo below) So long as you feel fine in different positions and not dizzy or lightheaded, that means blood and oxygen flow around your body is ok 👍 images.app.goo.gl/szJpGehTsCoQ2wTV8
I’m 39 weeks and 6 days I went to hospital yesterday because I have amount of blood came out to my vagina . My back really hurt and I have the feeling that my baby wants to see outside the worl I been 3 times already going back to the hospital but they always say that it’s 3 cm what would I do , im worried
I'm sorry I'm not a doctor and I can't tell you what to do from a medical perspective. You are doing the right thing going to the hospital. Your baby may be in the back to back position which is causing you back labour pain. Have the doctors checked your baby's position in the womb? It sounds to me like you may be in labour but it's going slowly. If you are worried, go back to the hospital and say you won't go home because you are frightened and want to check your baby's position. Also, I don't know why you are being sent home when you've been bleeding. Stand up for yourself and don't let the doctors make you feel like you are wrong. If you think your baby is coming, you know your body and I'm sure you're right 👍
