Today our family will be sharing some of the saddest news we have had since we became a family. Our sweet Kona is gone. She was such a big part of our family. We got her when David was just a baby, and I chose her from her litter because she had the prettiest looking head. We brought her home on a rainy Valentine's Day evening and we were so excited about having our first puppy. Since then, Kona became a mother herself, then she "mothered" our new puppy Hana. The two of them have been inspirable since the day Hana joined our family. This vlog tells the story of her last day with us and also celebrates her beautiful life. Thank you all for being a part of our story, even during the hard times like today. Our family is very very sad. The day after this video, we were going to take Kona on her first road trip, and she never got to go :(

I had a golden retriever just like Kona she passed away when I was about 2, I didn’t know what was going on I never got to say goodbye never saw her again. Watching this 3 years later still makes me cry and think about my Savanah. Also for my cat I was about it 3 my parents did not let me say goodbye.

I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to bill the cat, and I know this feeling. Poor Owen learned the hard parts of life, yeah he’s so young and didn’t understand at first and that’s very understanding.

omg the pain from losing my little girl just came flooding back when I saw Kona lying there. It is really the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life. I don't know you guys, but I can tell Kona was surrounded by love and lived such a happy life with her family. So one time I was sleeping in until I hear my dad say it a accident pls and I was scared so I wake first than my mom and the twin sister but not my baby brother so my mom went down there and not us than I went downstairs I say what happened and they nothing than one day they told my big sister died my mom and dad were crying and I was so close busting out tears and I sat where is she and she in heaven oh that we stop talk we went inside of the car and we drove there and I saw her coffin and when they took her coffin i started crying and crying

Everytime I watch this video it never fails to make me cry. All of the kids and Kristen’s emotions always overwhelm me, but it’s something about Matt’s disposition through the time in the room with Kona that just affects me differently. My dog is going to the vet tomorrow to get a lump on his back checked out and I pray it is nothing serious. I wish you all the best ❤️
