the fact that he can still be considered the goat 🐐 after so many crucial injuries is alone one of the reason he’s one of the all time greats; to me, no one was better than him before the injuries, I think there has never been a player so fast, technically gifted and deadly at the same time. But I still give #1 to Pelé, what he’s accomplished is absolutely out of this world and probably no one else will ever match it, and I’d tie Ronaldo and Romário at second place in the goat argument 😊

i have always thought the fact that Ronaldo had a seizure and didn't want to miss the final was a good enough explanation. And after something like that happening to a player i can totally understand why the rest of the team (especially those who saw it) were just in shock and not in the right condition to play to their best in the final. and against that France team, anything less than at your best was doomed to lose. i'm very glad that Ronaldo was able to complete what is in my opinion one of the greatest comeback stories of all time after this and the his knee exploding once he got to Inter.

Do you wear a nappy? Why would they be not be able to play football if someone had a fit?? People have seizures ten times a day! A grown up man will not let that affect them! They would say play or don't play! They wouldn't care!

Considering you mentioned lunch while explaining the story, I wouldn't have been surprised if you said France pulled an Arsene Wenger on Ronaldo. He was their best player by far and would've won Brazil the world cup if he was fit, so it's likely that someone put something in his food to make him sick.
Growing up, I always heard from people that what happened to us in the 1998 was either: 1- the bribe stuff, or 2- that Ronaldo found out that his then girlfriend was cheating on him with a famous journalist from Brasil, and that combined with specific medication he was (supposedly) taking + stress made him have a convulsion whatever it was, I guess most people today do believe that all that happened was Ronaldo had an unfortunate seizure and it is what it is; we don’t see a reason so many people would lie about that for so long, which might not even be possible considering many outspoken players such as Edmundo talked about this several times on the media.

Do a video what if the 2002 world cup wasn't rigged - italy vs spain quarter final, winner vs. germany semifinal, winner vs. brazil in the final. both the italian and spanish teams were better than the german one, so a different final would have taken place
