That “m5a3” is the sig mcx spear chambered in 6.8mm. Which is basically a beefed up mcx (m13 from cod)It’s a part of sig saures bid to create the next generation squad weapons to replace the m4 and m240 platforms. (For the us military of course)

4:25 and 11:08 These two are the same non-pat "S. ESPINOZA", they even have the same plate armor and what looks like a bomb defusal jacket. We might be seeing two different skins for Espinoza here.
Also at 10:46 we can see that this guy is Mexican, it has a Mexican flag patch on the helmet, he is the same Espinoza , you can see it because of the tattoos at his arm

Or it may be 2 different skins that are equipped depending on what team you are playing on, leading me to believe that you can play any operator no matter the team. Either way good observation.

Ahhh man, I know the dog tags are a small portion of the game, but getting cool tags with cool design or even real time stats on them is something I miss!
I showed off my stolen Dog tags with pride because they tell you the last player I took them from. I have three pairs of tags that said I last took them From LevelCap, JackFrags, and a DICE developer. After that unbelievable trio, I stopped stealing tags so that those names won’t be replaced on my BF4 account.

The story is incredibly unrealistic. There is no way any of these events would happen on the time table the story is suggesting. Why would a government send people with no allegiance into battle? Why are Russians the enemy? Russia stands zero chance against the weakest of superpowers. The only realistic enemy for the US is china but ea cant upset daddy big bucks.

Story is unrealistic. It's like all the other predictions from climate change activist that started in the 1960's. Global Warming I learned when I was in school and New York will be under water by 2015. No way that much will happen in 21 year's from now climate wise. However tensions between the superpowers is factual and happening without natural disasters. In fact it's happening at such a rate DICE didn't even add China as a superpower which is the one that will be the biggest threat to western civilization.

Polaris is acutally a real company that makes ATVs and things like that, so they might add other vehicles made by them

I saw someone using an AK-12 in the trailer. The so-called “M5A3” in BF2042 is the SIG MCX Spear which is an MCX variant which has a charging handle on the left side designed for the USArmy currently in testing to use experimental ammunition which I don’t have any detail yet except that one of the NGSW weapons would use the 6.8x43mm plastic ammunition but i’ll assume the MCX Spear would use it too, and as you can see at 13:09 it’s the MCX Spear that the soldier on the left is using. And to tell you, the SIG MCX controls is similar to the AR-15 platform rifles like the M16 and M4, But the internals are completely different and the MCX is more of an AR-15 and the AR-18 having a child together and the SIG MCX is what came out. 8:03 This person is using an LWRC. 9:34 That gun he is using is the DanielDefense M4V7 Pro, using the 10rnd 5.56x45 PMAG with an 18inch barrel and all the DanielDefense accessories.
Thats cool because the timeline is 21 years ahead time, while the US Army expirment weapons and ammuntion for the future, and that time I'm already on my 30's
I really love the background of this game. The story is exciting but for me it falls flat the moment I have to play as a specialist. The whole concept of this story is just begging for the player base to insert themselves and their player avatars into this game. It's odd that DICE chose to limit millions of players to play as 10 people in a game that's supposed to be about humanity's battle for survival.

Apparently they'll be adding more specialists but yeah I'd have to agree I like being a number among a collective of tonnes of other players charging down another team of players. I'm alright with customisation but making the soldiers actual characters just breaks the immersion a bit hopefully they don't have Overwatch like personalities I'd be alright with that.
Im glad Im not the only one who noticed that flaw too. Although it was passible in MW19 as many of the characters were from the campaign so players grew a liking to them but this being a multiplayer only game, its an unnecessary handicap.
Yeah if they want to have specific characters then just make a campaign mode
@@happywombat The only thing about that tho is that the multiplayer is supposed to tell the story of this whole 2042 scenario leading up to the 2142 scenario. Im assuming that they wanted these characters to help shed some light on the whole lore of the game while adding more as the live service goes on, opening up more dialogue to this whole "Multiplayer Campaign" deal they got going on. If thats the case i can kinda see why they went with this route, and also do understand where other players are coming from too with this issue. Maybe the playerbase would have preferred that announcer narration that we saw in BF1 in the Grand Operations game mode. we will have to see how this plays out i guess.

Sig hasn't won the contract yet. And the 6.8x51 is meant to pierce body armor at extended ranges since we'll likely be facing modern militaries in the future not just ragtag terrorist. The cartridge is the same size as 7.62 Nato and features a hybrid steel/ brass two piece case for higher pressures for more velocity.

No one has mentioned how the soldiers were climbing up the side of the container to get to the top. I was clearly not a vaulting movement or a jump, but a climbing. I wonder if that is a new feature of the movement abilities in BF2042.
I think the UMP is actually the LRWC-45 which was seen in Modern Warfare, it looks similar but distinct

Yes and with a new caliber, 6.8. I really have confidence in DICE to have done the proper research for the weapons. DICE usually do a great job of picking the old, the new and the cutting edge.

I’m curious do we get attachments from getting kills like on bf4 or buy it with in game credits like bf5 but I prefer bf4 way of getting attachments with the grind to get the your weapons better
I agree except for optics. Some of the irons are so horrible that it makes it a chore to get 10 kills

How about a hybrid between the two where you get attachments from kills but you have the option of buying them with credits (the price goes down the more kills you get)

The Specialists are fine, they are way too far into Development to change those big key gameplay elements unless you want it to be delayed for another year. Plus you may even like the Specialists
The 4 classes are still there, its just you have a further selection of primary gadgets and a trait, only thing im iffy on is the fact that each specialist is a character, so that might mean the same character models running around the place? Not sure.
@@Fudz4 They will be customizable, in the trailer you can see the female medic specialist with a standard uniform and helmet, while in the other picture she doesn't have an helmet and has a different uniform. I'm sure customization will be "taken more seriously" this time around, hopefully everyone will be able to have their unique look in a couple of weeks after release

They shouldn’t implement changing your setup on the fly. It detracts from the battlefield (actual battlefield) environment. It will result in an unbalanced weapon play. However, if everyone can do it, is it actually unbalanced?
2:49 someone pointed out to me that this tank looks very similar to an ongoing US Army-Bundeswehr concept design, it's somewhere on the BF subreddit, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find if you wanted to have a look at it.

I hope all the Specialists are highly customizable, so they do look different like in the Trailer and you won't see 128 "Wingsuit-Guys" or 128 Boris running around. Still a bit skeptical about that... I'd have preferred "generic" Soldiers which u can edit like you want. But in the Trailer is does look like kinda fine already so i have hope lol I also wanna see more various kinds of Jets like F16, F18 or F22 Raptor. Cant wait to see Gameplay. Bonus: i hope Battlelog, Commander, the CTE and custom Emblems are making a return
We have only seen 4 of them also, and there will be 10 on release, so those "normal soldiers" in the trailer might actually be the other specialists that we haven't seen yet

You won't see the F22 in-game anytime soon as it'll be phased out in the next decade, and this time around DICE did their homework when it comes down to art direction, like the SIG MCX Spear from the American NGSW-R program The F-35 makes perfect sense at it'll be used for a lot more time than the F-22

2:01 This is an MCX Westie. Known as the M13 in MW/Warzone Edit: It’s an MCX Spear*
More specifically it’s an mcx spear chambered in 6.8 which is what the army is testing currently to replace the m4. It also has an Elcan specter dr 1-4x scope on it.

It's actually the MCX Spear, which is currently one of several firearms in testing to replace the current M4 in the US military.

In the first frame of the Manifest map we can clearly see the SIG NGSW (an M13 chambered in 6.8mm. A replacement for the current gen ar15). The UMP like smg is actually based on the LWRC 45 (the same gun behind the MW’s Striker 45). In the frame in which we see the T34 Tank (before the Tornado), in the background we can spot some sort of an ACR. Espinoza’s LMG (KAC LAMG) is the MW’s FiNN. Also in the frame of the SCAR we can spot a Glock in the soldier’s holster.
That’s a T-14 armada tank, not a T-34, which was a WW2 tank

Being an aircraft maintenance engineer, I am somewhat confident that the aircraft will retain their original names 20 years from now. We’ve been using the same Aircraft since the 70s and 80s, only with modernized equipment inside. Very likely they would still be in service today. Like we still fly F-15 Eagle into strike missions, and the US just started upgrading them to the EX variant which is just the same aircraft with newer equipment.

what about other modes? rush, ctf, scav, gunmaster,... the "limited time mode"-bs has to die in a fire! is the tornado survivable only as the wingsuit specialist or can any soldier parachute out of it? unless you´re smashed against debris or a building.
I'm sure those modes will show up later. I imagine they will at least have like a few modes at launch. Their new massive one, classic conquest. And Team Death match and Death match. That's my guess.
That’s what I was thinking. Are they going to remove the parachute function? That’s one of the best functions in BF4. The parachute could be useful with the tornado. A way to travel around the map.

1:51 that is the SIG MCX Spear. It’s a Next Generation Squad Weapon designed for use by American Forces, though British CTSFO use a version called the SIG MCX SBR. The M13 from Warzone and MW also has a version of this weapon.

I can definitely feel that, but there's an entire group of people they skip over. Some people hate pvp so they play campaign or other bot modes, I just enjoy the way they tell the story. Bf3, bf4 even war stories they were enjoyable and gripping
