1987’s Predator film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is a classic in its genre, and Hollywood has been trying to squeeze more money out of the franchise for years. The latest attempt is called ‘The Predator’ and it stars Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn. A LOT of questionable decisions went into making this movie. Why does that Predator want to help humans. What’s up with the weird global warming message and Super Predators? Why does shooting a Predator dog in the head make it your best friend. To answer these questions and a whole lot more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to The Predator. It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

LOL.... you have one the Internet today....
@@RogueBoyScout Thanks! I always wanted to WHEN the internet
the worse the movie is the harder it is for me to not wonder if this is how the actual pitch meeting went
They should do a version of these where they visit the editing bays after these movies are shot and the execs expect the editors to fix their mess. But I guess that would just be several days' worth of humans screaming and sobbing loudly.
i swear to God i wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if this is how actual pitch meetings go down at Hollywood movie studios nowadays 😒
Like withr the Marvel movies! Absolute nonsensical trash.
@M 40 I assume they also use pie charts and opinion surveys.
The logic of this statement is inescapable
“When all the people who pioneered cinema roll over in their graves at the same time...” 😂😂😂
that was my absolute favorite part.
Best part by far. And it's actually saying a lot, since I enjoyed this particular episode quite a lot.
😂😂😂😂 wow!
I’ve often said they should hook up a generator to Michael Crichton so that each time they release a new Jurassic movie, they can power several states from all the spinning.
They can cause some little earthquakes 😂😂😂
"I'm a powerful studio executive, and I'm gonna approve that idea!"
Saw this as he said it. Brilliant.
In reality it was probably his idea and he forced them to put it.
I think if John Davis ever watches this Pitch Meeting he will either get the best laugh of his life at this sentence and/or some cutaneous flushing.
It works for The iron Giant
That one got me so hard!
In all sincerity I think there are some studio execs in Hollywood that genuinely NEED to see some of these.
Sadly yes
I don't think they would get the message
@@wagnerthomas6780 They watch all of them and shrug and go on about their business.
They laugh and find it funny just like the rest of us.
unfortunately I think they would just take notes and think these pitches "are really tight" !

Pioneers of cinema rolling over their graves is tight!
@@SivaR1020 it is said the dead roll over in their graves when their legacy is disrespected so outrageously. Elvis Presley rolled over in his grave when Michael Jackson married his daughter.

It still is.
"She tells the government ' *You messed with the wrong family* ' and then we never see her again" 😂

That's usually what happens. Jan 6th was a setup to get rid of people like this. look at the video evidence of the capitol police letting people into the building after Nancy Pelosi REFUSED to allow the national guard in and prevented the capitol police from bringing in additional protection. The people causing the violence at the capitol are known Antifa members (who have not been arrested yet) and the guy who shot Ashley Babbot (while she was outside the building) is a BLM member who has talked about killing Trump supporters.

I think it's a much broader statement than that.
But they used the word "disorder" so they're bigots. Um, he.
@Dr. M. H. I think the connection goes this way: Communism is leftist ideology that usually solves problems the violent way and Hollywood right now is also pretty leftist with the whole "woke" thing. And leftists from either the woke crowd and communist side see themselves as good people.
@@HateshWarkio As opposed to any other ideology? Not trying to defend communism, but mostly all ideologies have been pushed through either force or violence. From petty feudal lords, to absolutist kings, from the centralized Roman empire to the colonial British empire, from the American imperialism to soviet Communism to the alt-right Nazism, they all used violence to make sure their ideology stayed on top. There are exceptions, such as Gandhi and his liberation of India, but these are... exceptions. P.S.: All people with an ideology will see themselves as the Heroes. Why would think you're evil if you firmly believe in something that is in your/everyone's best interest.

We had to stop the movie 3 times and vent to make it all the way through. I think the part where they are all inexplicably on motorcycles all of the sudden for no reason is my favorite.
I had to do the same thing with Jurassic World 2: Electric Boogaloo. It has to be celebrated; that point where these blockbuster movies start to feel like you're watching an over-funded B-movie. Occasionally inducing Whooping and Cheering at the horrible cheesy feel of a Direct-to-Video 'production'.

I heard the boy playing autism did a good job
I have both Asperger *and* Tourettes, and I can tell you neither condition has anything positive about it. Watching this movie made me cringe, but it was mostly the scenes with the kid. I'm plenty used to Hollywood's portrayal of Tourette's sufferers as spasmodic, expletive-spewing lunatics.
"Yeah so there's this one army veteran and he's got Tourette's so he's going to be saying a bunch of swears and silly words!" "Aren't people with Tourette's exempt from military service?" "I don't know!" "Fair enough!"

That rolling over in their graves joke was hilarious
I love how they make fun of how the Predator came to help us, yet he's killing everyone. That was my biggest complaint. I mean, there were a lot of problems, but that what bothered me the most because it makes absolutely no sense. I even read the original draft of the script and they comment on that: Head Government Guy: "That Predator came to help us." McKinna: "But he killed my men!" Head Government Guy: "I didn't say he was a nice guy, but he was here to help us." What the hell?!
