I have no clue how I died to him that first time but all you need to do is stun lock him because he deals A LOT of damage with one hit. My health here is close to 600 and an armor value of ~1700
Dragon Aspect + Secret of Strength + Elemental Fury + Enchanted/Tempered Armor + Maxed Skills and Perks makes this an easy fight on Legendary Difficulty. Especially with the perk that allows power attacks to stun.
Also, no alchemy exploits were used. Just store-bought potions of enchanting (20%) and smithing (50%), also some enchanted armor pieces with 28% Smithing each (Gloves, Armor, Ring, and Amulet)
He still one shot you what a beast lmao
because of Reflect Blows perk EW has
That's the absurdity of legendary difficulty for you
Right "Ebony warrior is easy" proceeds to use full set of max enchanted Deadric mail with elemental fury, dies first time around in one shot, but yes ebony warrior is easy and you dont even need all the shit that guy has, just grab windshear and ur g2g. Hardest enemy in skyrim is probably Karstaag
The power… of reflect blows
@@BaldRicepov: you rp as a character with good morals and destroy the dark brotherhood: WELL WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO BI-
Fun fact, while dual wielding and using the dual wield power attacks the speed of your attacks is caculated based on your left hand weapon. So if you have a sword in your left hand and mace in your right hand you will attack as fast as if you were using 2 swords. This works with elemental fury aswell, meaning your right hand weapon can be fully enchanted, as long as your left hand weapon is not while you use the shout you will still fully benefit from the shout while using dual wield power attacks.
I knew the right weapon could be enchanted, I just usually hate putting enchants on weapons anyways because after like 3 uses you gotta refuel it and it gets annoying. I didn't know the sword and mace strat thought, I ought to try it one playthrough
Get the Soul Siphon perk. It keeps weapons pretty much full most of the time.
@@snooperdoge11 i used to hate enchanting weapons too, but you can just get 100% cost reduction and it never uses any charges, it can take 4 slots but if you enchant it with absorb health it's better than health regen (and armor caps at something like 580, so fortify armor is also useless) and absorb stamina for infinite power attacks without spending any points in stamina
Dude just use a DAGGER in your left hand. I always do 😎
Kharjo: "You are taking us to somewhere warm, I trust?" *Looks at the Ebony Warrior fresh corpse*

He died to his reflect blows perk almost immediately. But fr it’s easy stomping ebony warrior, the real challenge is fine tuning your equipment to make it an even fight
Wdym, EQ have much worse gear then you can craft
@@T0urGr1mm exactly
@@rossalbane7743 I sense misunderstanding I meant that it is even fight right from the moment you learn Thuum You don't need top gear to humble him Just move properly in fight I'd say that the battlefield is a grand stage and you are a bloody ballerina There's no enemy that can match your agility and recovery rate, once you learn bits of dancing with a blade and magic and additional usage of screams You just turn into a whirlwind worthy of a Whitestrake
@@T0urGr1mm I’m saying I like to make a different set of equipment that I think would make the fight not so easy but not too hard because you only get to fight him “once”(meaning he doesn’t respawn) the more evenly matched the fight is the better
@@rossalbane7743 that's nice, but be careful,if you change weapon mid fight, he can think you sheased , which will make him stop fighting and he will restore full health
I see so many tutorials to cheese this guy and I dont understand why. I personally just fight him with heavy armor and a greatsword. Im not hating on anyone who tries to cheese him, but I feel like there's no point. He's just a dude who wants to die honorably. He isn't destroying the world, doesn't work for an underground assasins cult, doesn't make a living stealing, just an old honorable knight who saved many people and wants a respectable death. The rewards aren't even that good either, at least they really aren't anything you can't get on your own.
Shield charge goes brrr. Im not sure if it still works on him tho ,but it worked before.
My favorite way to Invalidate EW is Shield Charge + Respite. Repeatedly run him into the ground with no recourse to get back up, and recover your stamina endlessly with healing magic. At that point, you can kill him with whatever means of damage you choose. One time he fell of the cliff in ragdoll and died to fall damage despite the fact that he's programmed to full heal if that happens.
Or Shield Charge into him while sneaking & invisible, then pickpocket him the second he ragdolls to loot all his armor off him using Perfect Touch with no chance of failure. It all gets flagged as stolen, but I never use his gear anyways.
The warmest place in Skyrim. A warrior underpants
didn't he have like 3 or 5 health potions
im on survival mode level 69 and the bandit chief is to die for
Just use a long damage magic effect (like 10sec burn damage) and throw him down the mountain. That way it doesn’t negate fall damage
If you can enchant that well, make more fortify one handed apparel and drink fortify one handed potion. You can probably 3 shot him that way.
More to it, with a use of dark books and azidal armor There could be much more damage, and for gods sake why ebony axes? You want damage, use dragon bones
@@T0urGr1mmebony war axes look way cooler, even in vanilla skyrim without dlc i used it instead of daedric because i hate how daedric looks
Or get dmg reflected back at you lmao. Its better actually to use weaker weapon so reflect wont kill you.
So basically, just be GOD.
Enchantments better than the atk speed shout, and use white phial and other one handed potions and use poison. I did it faster anyways
I dont have doubt you have skills but autoload helped you in my opinion :D
I wonder if it'd be cheating to call for Odahviing if fighting the Ebony Warrior proves too challenging.
Я его криком скидывал с горы. Хорошо сагрить и в ножки крикнуть - милое дело.

You should play requiem mod for Skyrim makes it way harder and more rewarding and balanced
I usually play Fallout 4 with a bunch of mods that make it tough but balanced. (MAIN, SCOURGE, Gas Masks of the Wasteland, etc.) Skyrim is usually one of those games I roleplay in unlike Fallout 4 which I play for a challenge but I might use Requiem next time I mod Skyrim. This playthrough though didn't have any mods, since I wanted to play classic Skyrim while also getting all the achievements and having an OP character lol 😄
Or, you know, you can actually one-shot him with a crossbow stealth attack. You don't even need to abuse the alchemy loop to accomplish it and his reflect perk can't activate against marksmanship attacks.
Why bring up alchemy loop? Nothing to do w this
@@canyon805 Some people will say it's imposible to one-shot him without it, which is false.

Somthin fishy about this...
I swear I didn't use AI to auto-generate the fight...
Fun Fact, half of your armor rating means nothing :) Armor rating is capped at like 870 or something, which is around 85% DR.
A couple of eyebrow raising questions: 1) How come he isn't hostile. Every single time I have taken him on over the years, he is immediately hostile, he does wait for you to hit him. 2) he has the Reflect Blows perk in the heavy armor tree, but you aren't taking any damage from your reflected blows. This is either modded to be easier or just outright fake.
he isnt instantly hostile. he says this little thing about how hes done everything and whatever before attacking you. I also think he died the first time to the reflect bows stuff. Lastly i have no clue if it is modded or fake.
1) Your game is bugged then 2) Reflect blows only has 10% chance to trigger
@@Metalija1315 I even reloaded a couple of old saves one modded with the unofficial patch only and one vanilla. Got them both the rest of the way up to level 80. The Ebony Warrior always meets you in one of the main towns after and explains himself. Then you get the Ebony Warrior quest. That is the last time he isn't hostile. No matter what I do on either save. With or without a follower, with weapon drawn or sheathed, with no weapons equipped. It does not matter. As soon as I am anywhere near his little campfire, he instantly draws his sword and starts attacking. I definitely cannot walk up right up to his face like he does in the video. As for reflect blows. I know it is only 10% but he hit him about 50 times. Even if you are lucky, it should still hit him a couple of times. Even if it doesn't kill you, it should still cause damage. Yes, he dies on the first attempt, but then it just cuts to him doing it successfully with no damage at all.
This is my first time ever fighting him so I have no clue if he's normally hostile, I usually never get to the right level to start the quest but in this playthrough I wanted to fight all the bosses and get all the achievements. Also, yeah, I did take damage to his reflect blows perk, that's how I died the first time I think or either he got a sneaky hit in. Ironically this save file is me trying it out with zero mods for the first time in years, not even the unofficial patch. (Edit) I did some research and Reflect Blows only activates every 0.5 seconds so it wouldn't matter how many hits I did but I checked and I killed him in 7 seconds so that gave the perk 14 times to activate. Maybe I evaded the 10% chance for it to activate because he was stunned, or maybe I got lucky on the second try and evaded the 10% unlike on the first try where it activated immediately. idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Don't know how I died first time" Ahh yes, a newborn skyfan Gives me quite a nostalgia Remembering my old days... Killing EW with no armor upgrades, with only a conjured bow and two daedra on my side, yeahh that was a fight, costed me a half of an hour, but worth a pride fulfilling me after a victory Anyway, EW is high-leveled in heavy armor He have a skill that gives a 10% chance of reflecting damage back to your faces, so melee build not very safe against him
I mean idk about newborn skyfan I've been playing for years, I just never get to a high enough level to fight him. This was my first time next time I might do what you did instead of stun locking him lol, might be more interesting
@@snooperdoge11 yeah, this is especially nostalgic for me cause I was the same, literally same build But I used dragonbone axes with close to 1500 damage, thought I died of heart attack
@@snooperdoge11 oi, sorry, thought you was new to Skyrim Just EW's mirroring skill is common knowledge What's your favorite build so far?
Don’t mean to flex or anything but my level 30 orc does way more damage and has a higher armour rating than your guy
Khajiit dragonborn makes as much as sense as orc bard...
You could have enchanted the axes as well
The elemental fury wont active
noob.
Elemental Fury doesn't work on enchanted gear. (Except the Longhammer, for some reason)
Pretty sure you died due to an armor rating bug
The Ebony Warrior has the Heavy Armor perk that gives a 10% chance to reflect melee attacks, as well as a hidden NPC perk that increases all physical damage dealt to the player. This guy is playing in Legendary difficulty, so all damage taken by the player is multiplied 3x. His Ebony War Axes were doing 220, increased further by dual wield power attacks, their respective perks, and Dragon Aspect; So he was easily doing 1000+ damage to himself.

skyrim's armor ratings are so wack. it would make more sense if you needed a weapon of a grade higher than the armor in order to "break through." ex. daedric and dragonbone beat ebony, steel beats iron, etc. in this way, if you have a grade several levels higher, it should cut through armor like butter.
i'm just saying I shot him five times before he even really drew his sword, wasn't sneaking, wasn't hiding, I was just out and out shooting him in the face. He saw me. My guy's a cupcake. And no, I didn't use my restoration loop gear.... Okay, I did, but I reloaded and beat him with my normal shit because it didn't feel sportsmanlike.... I did take his soul so he couldn't go to sovengaurde though, which was a dick move.
